Hey guys! Glad to be able to post this one out.

I see a lot if you actually liked the previous chapter and I will say that is a bit of a surprise...... Well for me anyways.

Also would just like to point out that we managed to hit 3k in views for this story, so thanks to you all!!!!

So this one is going to be a tad bit short but I just worked with what I thought was best.

Ok I have wasted enough of your times and so..... on with the story.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

It's been two days since the incident in the cafeteria, where Colt kicked CRDL's asses single handedly with some added extra help from his team. Needless to say that the bully team were keeping their distance from SSPF at all costs. At least for now.

It's back in the classroom we see a sleeping Jaune with his head resting in his hands while a constantly-zooming and fast-talking Professor Bartholomew Oobleck is in the middle of his hyperactive lecture, educating Weiss, Blake, Sam, Colt, Pyrrha, Velvet, and a leaned-back Cardin directly behind Jaune.

"Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution--more popularly known as the Faunus War--" He says then zooms up to the front of the class and the map covered in papers behind his desk. "--humankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus population in Menagerie."

He then points at the map of said-area with his stick, then zooms off to the side for a sip of his coffee before appearing in front of the desk. "Now! While this must feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember that these are relatively recent events! Why, the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen to this day!" He again zooms around the classroom more, sipping his coffee again before continuing to zoom and talk. "Now! Have any among you been subjugated or discriminated because of your Faunus heritage?" He asked out to his class.

Some of the students raise their hands including Velvet, after a moment who does the same. Sam surprisingly doesn't.

Oobleck shakes his head. "Dreadful, simply dreadful! Remember, students, it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence!" He adds before taking another sip of his coffee. "I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to White Fang! Now, which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorize to be the turning point in the third year of the War?"

Weiss quickly raises her hand.

Oobleck nods to her. "Yes?"

"The battle at Fort Castle!" She answered

"Precisely! And, who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?" He asked for someone else.

Meanwhile, Colt got inquisitive at the answer and then turned to Sam, both discussing whether the answer was correct or not.

Unseen by the professor, Cardin flicks a paper football at Jaune's head, causing him to wake up.

"Hey!" Jaune cried out in surprise.

Oobleck then zooms over into Jaune's face. "Mr. Arc! Finally contributing to class! This is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?"

Caught by surprise, he struggles to come up with an answer quickly. "Uhhhh... The answer... The advantage... that the Faunus..." He then looks behind Oobleck's focused face at Pyrrha, who coughs and motions to her lips as she gives him the answer "...had over that guy's stuff..." He then sees Pyrrha cup her hands around her eyes and goes for what he thought was the most obvious answer "Uhh... Binoculars!"

While Jaune looks pleased with his answer, the class laughs at him and Oobleck sips his coffee. Pyrrha sighs and slaps a hand to her forehead as Cardin pounds his fist on his desk while chortling.

Oobleck zooms back behind his desk unimpressed "Very funny, Mr. Arc! Cardin! Perhaps you would care to share your thoughts on the subject!"

"Well, I know it's a lot easier to train an animal than a soldier." He said rather smugly from where he sat.

This earned some glares from a few students, including Pyrrha and Blake. Archer and Rufus glared at him to from behind, but not so intently as the two Huntresses.

Pyrrha spoke first. "You're not the most open-minded of individuals, are you, Cardin?"

"What? You got a problem?" He said in retaliation.

"Cardin did you forget how much of a beating you got over this?" Sam said this time as he turned to face him.

Cardin shook as the memories from days earlier came into his mind. The big jock slowly shrank into his seat, trying to become as small as possible from the glare that was being given from the wolf Faunus.

Oobleck decided to continue the lesson from there on and motioned to Pyrrha. "Miss Nikos, you may continue.

Pyrrha nodded. "Yes sir, the answer is night vision. Many Faunus are known to have nearly-perfect sight in the dark."

Then Blake decided to chime in. "General Lagune was inexperienced, and made the mistake of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched, and the general was captured." She said earning a few nods from the professor and a few of the students.

However Colt's expression got inquisitive at the answers and so turned to Sam to discuss over the battle.

Oobleck who was about to continue the lecture, saw Colt and Sam talking and not paying attention. "*Clears throat* Mr Sabert! Would you mind sharing with the class what you and Mr Shadow are discussing about that seems so important rather than the lesson?"

Cardin got up a bit on his seat and was filled with a bit of glee to see the two members from SSPF get a scolding from the teacher and couldn't wait to watch.

The two Huntsmen turned to each other, then Sam sighed and motion for Colt to answer the teacher.

Colt nodded and stood up. "Well sir, the thing is. Sam, Jack, Gopher and I have studied the Faunus war rather extensively. And well... We have found a lot of discrepancies when it came to what the history books dub a 'turning point' in the war."

Oobleck raised and eyebrow as he sipped from his mug. "Oh? Elaborate." He asked for him to continue.

Colt sighed as he put his words together. "Well, while the outcome of the war was a Faunus victory, the four Kingdoms may disagree. For example, Atlas to this day in its history books claim that the greatest turning point of the war was during the early months of the second year of the war, with a decisive human victory at the battle of Twin's Pass."

"Don't forget Mistral when it comes to the surprise attack at Port Belledon at the end of the war." Sam said quickly.

"Oh yeah, let's not forget them either. Those two can't stay quiet for 2 minutes without yelling at each other over who struck the more decisive blow." Colt replied. "Anyways, scouring through all the history books and reading all the battles as well as coming up with what would have happened if the other side had lost or won. We realised that there was no actual turning point during the war."

"Interesting, but one does find battles that have single handedly turn the tide of the war." Oobleck said.

Colt nodded. "True, however while we did find battles that have turned the tide of a war, we came to a conclusion that there was no such thing a turning point."

Oobleck and the class looked at him questioningly when he said that.

"Ok let me explain." Colt went on." We put it like this. If you take away the idea of who should win and who should lose and instead look at it as just a neutral party who doesn't care who wins or loses, we realised that every battle that is fought, if you win it or lose it or sometimes even just a stalemate, it would be a turning point in a war. Basically what I am saying is, that the reason there is no such thing as a turning point is because every battle that is fought, regardless of the outcome, is a turning point of a war."

(I'll explain the reason behind this at the end of the chapter.)

"I see. Well then! Thank you Mr. Sabert for that bit of intellectual knowledge!" He says as the bells rings, indicating the end of class.

Everyone started packing up their equipment, until Oobleck called out. "Mr. Winchester! Mr. Arc! Both of you can stay behind for some additional readings." This earned some groans from both Huntsmen as everyone exited the class.

Colt, Sam, Blake, Weiss, Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren come out of the classroom, only for Pyrrha to stop near the doorway.

"You go all on ahead. I'll wait for Jaune." She said, earning earning nods from them all.

"Pyrrha?" Colt walked up to her, making her turn to him. " Just make sure Jaune doesn't get into anymore trouble with Cardin alright?"

She nodded and reassured him. "I will, you all can head to your next class." And so they all for their next lesson. Leaving the Bronze Spartan alone to wait for the Blonde Knight.

Later that Night
SSPF Dorm room

The gang was all back together in their room doing their own things after they had changed into their night clothes. Gopher was sitting on his bed, books and notes strewn about as he was going over the homework he was given. While Sam on the other hand was lying on his pillow reading a Sci-Fi book.

By the single work table in the room stood Colt with his weapon on the table, with a tool box and tools all over and a desk lamp shining on his weapon so he could easily repair it.

Beside him stood Jack overlooking the repairs. "So how bad are we talking?" He asked.

"Not that bad actually. I only fired three of those rounds, so it's still easily repairable." He said back as he then looked through the barrel to spot any imperfections to the rifling.

But Jack still had a hint of worry about him. "Yeah but that's still 3 out of 5. You and I both know how dangerous they are if you use them and the amount of damage just one can do to your gun." He said placing a 50.Cal bullet with the red strip at the bottom of the casing onto the table.

"Look I don't like using the Hicups no more than you. But you know I only use them if I have to. That Minotaur was no exception when we fought it." Colt said back as he grabbed a nearby tool and started to fix the rifling in the barrel.

Jack snapped back. " Yeah but that one you fired at it was the third one. You're lucky that you even hit it at all."

Colt snorted. " Can't argue with that. Second shot pretty much ruined the accuracy. Pretty amazing that I managed to shoot its blade off at all." He then put the tool down and grabbed another before inserting it into barrel.

"Yeah well using the second one at point blank range on a Death Stalker was bit of a waste." Jack quickly stated to him.

Colt sighed as he continued with the repairs. "Fine I'll let you have that one. But you have to understand that I wanted to end that fight quick, and it just seemed that using one wasn't a bad idea at the time. But you have you admit that a point blank range shot with a Hicup round to a Death Stalker's face was pretty cool." He said as he finished fixing the rifling and then put the gun on the table.

He then reached for another tool before moving to the back of the barrel where the chamber is located. The bolt was removed to allow access for him to see clearly inside and inspect to whatever else needs fixing.

"Alright I'll admit that was pretty awesome." Jack replied while lazily rolling his eyes. "But did you seriously also have to go and waste the first one just to get the main groups attention?"

That's when Colt stopped everything he was doing. He took a big breath before turning to face Jack directly in the eye.

"Now that is where I am going to completely disagree with you." He said with a bit of anger. "I was not going to allow a pack of Death Stalkers go and have an all out buffet on our friends. If I hadn't done that? Then Ruby, Weiss, Jaune, Pyrrha, everyone! Everyone would have died if I hadn't done that. That was a risk I was willing to take when it came to them." He said leaving the Ice warrior unable to think of his own reply.

Colt then slowly turned back to his weapon and finished fixing the chamber. "You should know me already Jack. When it comes to the safety of those around me, especially those I consider my friends, my family...."

By this time both Gopher and Sam had stopped what they were doing and turned to listen to their leader.

Colt then picked up the rifle and inserted the bolt back into place to close the chamber. "I will always do what is necessary to make sure they all come out of it unscathed and alive." Then he pulled back onto the bolt and let it go, cocking the rifle to make sure everything is working properly again.

He walked over to the gear locker and placed Three Strikes inside. He turned back around to the Ice Warrior who was still standing by the desk watching him with a sad face.

"I am not going to let what happened last time happen again." Colt said with anger in his voice. Making sure Jack, Gopher and Sam heard him clearly. "Never again. Never." He finally stated as he then walked over to the ladder and climb into bed

Jack didn't say anything but give a small low nod that he understood and wasn't going to argue over that with him and also climbed into bed.

Gopher looked over to his brother with empathy, understanding how emotional Colt got over those close to him safety. He then packed everything around him away and prepared for lights out. Sam closed his book and put it onto the table and then reaching over and turning off the lights.

Ok so I wanted to explain that one weird one in history class with Colt and Oobleck.

Basically growing up learning history was one of my biggest hobbies, mostly military history. And I got pretty good at it. Unfortunately my grades during high-school don't reflect that because well, anything I wrote that I knew was very important and relevant they would consider as irrelevant.

Anyways I was going to explain the whole "Turning Point Phenomenon". Basically during my 3rd Year of high-school, a friend and I were sitting next to each other in class only listening to our teacher explain the "2nd Battle of El Alamein" and he said that this battle was the turning point of the war (WW2).

I sat there immediately thinking "Hang on? That can't be right?" and I turned to my friend who also turned to me with the exact same expression. And we both basically said this isn't right, something is wrong. Because the day before we were searching up what was considered the turning point of WW2 and the answer we found was the "Battle of Stalingrad".

Now we didn't raise this to our teacher because well, it would have brought nothing from it really.

But later that night I talked to my dad and I asked him what he thought was the turning point of the war. And he himself was a soldier during the South African Border war serving for 3 years in the army before leaving.

And he told me, that there is technically no such thing as a turning point because every battle that is fought is a turning point. It's a turning point if you win and it's a turning point if you lose.

So what does this all mean? Well it comes down to a very old but very famous quote, "History is written by the victor". So true indeed.

Which is why I like Captain Price's speech from MW2 regarding that quote.

"History is written by the victor. History is filled with liars. If he lives, and we die, his truth becomes written - and ours is lost"

Now as much as I would like to rant on about this even more, let's be honest. You most likely skipped all of it anyways up to this point and I don't blame you. I would too.

But let me leave you with this. Ask yourself this one question.

How much are you really being taught? And how much more is swept under the rug so you don't find out?

Just think on it. Because I have been ever since high-school and it's terrifying the things you will find out once you do.
