Patton walked down the street with his close friend, De. The two were just having a pleasant walk, besides all the stares they were getting, which wasn't really much of a surprise considering....well....

You see, De has this.....condition that rarely anyone gets. Well, almost everyone has something similar to this, however this one is rather rare so it's seen as a condition instead of normal.

It's where someone has snake snake scales on the side of their face along with having fangs. Not ordinary fangs like some other people have, oh no. These fangs are filled with venom where you have to tell the truth if bitten.

So, with De having snake scales along with a bowler hat on top of his head along with a black and yellow cape like coat on him, he....stuck out and felt odd compared to Patton, who was just wearing a simple light blue polo shirt with a grey cat hoodie tied around his shoulders.

Anyways, the two walked down the sidewalk calmly, ignoring any stares the pair could see or whispers either of them could easily hear.

"What exactly...are we doing again?" De spoke, and Patton just smiled at him.

"I don't know. I just thought it would be fun and peaceful to get out of the apartment." Patton cheerfully replied.

"Plus Logan and Virgil wanted some alone time and Roman was already gone and....I wanted to make them happy and not be there. Plus your fun!"

Of course, this cute-wait, cute? Nevermind that, of course he wanted to hang out with me because of his friends. De sadly thought, just smiling back at Patton. I'm a freak, nice people are especially nice to freaks like me.

The two talked and walked, Patton making his usual dad jokes and De just smiling in response, even making a few jokes that were slightly darker.

It was going great, De was happy and so was Patton. That is, until they got to a park.

There was a couple of men around their age for whatever reason there besides them and a woman just sitting on a bench reading a book minding her own business. It was starting to get dark outside so there wasn't really much people.

Patton and De were making there to a bench when they heard a sudden yell.

"Hey snake face!" De turned around, and Patton, being concerned, turned around as well.

They saw a man their age with black sunglasses and an all black jacket. He looked mad for whatever reason and also a jerk, also standing behind Patton.

The guy suddenly lunges forward with a fist, and without thinking De does too, but instead opening his mouth and readying the venom. He swore he was about to get to the guy's fist and.....

Chomp!

He missed. And he hit Patton somehow. In the neck. Oh gosh.

The guy snickered, running off, De looking back at him and giving him the finger.

De put it down once the jerk was out of view and turned back to Patton and gasped. A small part of his neck looked purple and had bite marks a darker shade of purple in the center of the area.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry I did not think this would happen and-"

"Hey hey calm down, I'm.....actually not fine since I just got bit but it's okay! Accidents happen!" Patton interrupted, the truth venom seeming to affect him already.

"Patton we need to get you home." De said, grabbing his arm and leading him out of the park, ignoring the stares.

"De, it's okay! I don't have to go home! I mean, my apartment is empty anyways since Logan and Virgil aren't home and neither is Roman so why should I go back because of a bite?" Patton spoke, soon covering his mouth.

De nearly stopped in his tracks, but kept walking and opened his mouth. "Your apartment is what?"

"Empty! Logan and Virgil are on a date and Roman's at work!" Patton said, smiling.

"So you lied about them wanting alone time?" De asked, picking up the speed. He wanted to get there as soon as possible. Patton being home sooner would

"Yup!" The venom-filled man replied cheerfully. "I just wanted to spend time with someone as amazing and cute as you!"

De's cheeks flushed red. What had he just said? De went silent for the rest of the way there, as Patton soon rambled about dogs for literally no reason.

The two reached Patton's apartment, Patton soon pulling out a key and opening up the door to the apartment.

It wasn't a big apartment, or a small one either. It was rather in between, not too big with too much space, or too small with barely any.

De led Patton to the couch, even though Patton could get there himself, and De told Patton to lay down so he did.

"Where's your first aid kit?" De asked, Patton soon pointing towards the bathroom.

De went to get the first aid kit, and came back with it, kneeling down next to Patton and opening the kit up.

He grabbed out a bandage wrap and lightly wrapped it on the area. He finished it up and tied it, placing the wrap back in the box.

"You should get some rest for the next few days, you'll be better in four days." De explained, closing up the first aid kit. He got up and went to put it away, and heard Patton say something from the couch.

"Hey De? I love you."

And then he passed out.
