Warnings: Deceit, being tricked, mentions of being tied/restrained. Let me know if there’s any I missed!

Summary: Roman notices that something is wrong with Patton, a little too late.

Sorry, it's been a bit, um. I'm working on more requests from Tumblr I'm sorry if you requested something here, I'm not on here anymore due to circumstances. So I will update full-length fics, eventually, but right now I'm focusing on some Aus I and a friend from Tumblr have been making.

[If given their permission it will be posted onto a book here, just know it's logince and Moxiety]

I'll be updating with more parts of Panic Room later. I have my ideas already just haven't written them out yet. But mainly it'll be another mini-chapter collection thing again!

Sorry, 'bout that!
Enjoy!
~Max.

[Side note: The edit up there is mine if you use it credit me.]

Roman could tell something was off, long before Patton asked him to fuse, it was just an odd glazed over sort of look in his eye, something in his smile, something wasn’t quite right. It was probably nothing though, right? Nothing, it was just Patton and they often fused if one of them was feeling bad, it helps them feel stable. That’s the only reason Roman agreed, he only realized too late what was wrong… As he fused with Patton, he thought it was just the bright light that made Patton’s eye look gold.

But the figure gazing back at him through the mirror wasn’t him and Patton, it wasn’t their fusion, he knew it wasn’t, no matter how much it looked like it. There was something in their eyes, the hint of malicious intent, only present in the snake eyes of the deceptive trait. He tried to pull away, to unfuse! Anything! But he couldn’t. Anytime he tried to unfuse he’d feel something constricting around his wrists, his ankles, and his throat. It felt like string if the string was somehow excruciatingly painful… but of course, the fusion that he had no control over, was not affected at all by it.

He was trapped, Deceit mirrored Roman and Patton's fusion’s normal personality perfectly, no one even noticed… Not even Thomas when he made a very uncharacteristically immoral decision, after all, it was Patton and Roman asking him to do that, right…?
