Asuna POV

Kirito: Asuna! There you are!

     I breath deep and turn to the conversation I know is coming, but (Y/n) here, I think I can finally face him.

Asuna: *unenthused* Hello, Kirito.

Kirito: Asuna, I've been worried aboit you. You leave without saying a word and you disappeared from my friends list! What happened?!

Asuna: Cut the crap! You know damn well why I left the way I did! I followed you that night because you were being distant and wanted to know why. I followed you until you came to the inn on floor 55, I knew you were in there so I didn't need my listening skill to be high enough. I listened in and out the things you were doimg to some girl. *Kirito looks down in shame at being caught red handed* So yeah, I left and found refuge with the one person who would care enough to help me. *taking (Y/n)'s arm in mine* And for the first time in my life I am truly happy since Yui came into our lives. The only thing I still can't figure out is why, why wasn't I enough for you?!

     I held (Y/n)'s arm tighter as I fight to hold back tears and wait for Kirito's answer.

Asuna: Well?!

Kirito: I don't have any good excuse. I was only seeing Lisbeth because you and I had been working so much then Lisbeth asked for my help on a project.

Asuna: And you didn't think for one second that was suspicious?!

Kirito: Originally yes, but she turned out to genuinely have a project she needed help with. After we had to find the materials for the shield she was making, it was really late and, well, things sort of escalated from there.

Asuna: *sigh* I cannot stay mad at you forever but neither can we work things out because I don't think I can ever trust you again. This is goodbye.

Kirito: But Asuna-

     Kirito rwaches his hand out and I flich away until I hear a grunt and a blow land, I open my eyes and see Kirito just got punched hard across the square and every player there took notice. I look to see (Y/n) equip his armor and shield and get between me and Kirito.

Kirito: What the hell Arctodus! I just wanted to try and-

(Y/n): You blew your chance when you decided screwing Liz was better than just trying to talk to Asuna! She looked to you for love and companionship, and you just threw it down the drain! And only now do you realize your mistake and try to work things out, when Asuna is clearly trying to move on! If you want her you'll have to go through me!

Kirito: Argh! Alright your on!

(Y/n) POV

     Kirito initiates the duel and we wait for the timer. As soon as the timer goes off Kirito initiates the first attack and starts bashing my shield with a flurry of attacks that are doing next to nothing and cosidering I'm almost 80 levels higher than him that doesn't surprise anyone. But for some reason he keeps beating my shield and I can't counterattack, so I decide to wear him out. He starts using his signature duel wielding sword skill against me and while he did get some good hits around my shield it was mitigated by my armor. His sword skill ends and I use a charged up heavy overhead strike, Kirito however reacted quick enough to block and parry it and make me stumble back a few steps, but before I can recover Kirito gets past my shield and stabs me with both swords and I fall to my knees in pain.

Asuna: (Y/n)!

     I slowly rise back up to my feet and tower over Kirito. (Kirito is 5' 7" in the show) I then headbutt him in the nose, causing him to let go of his swords. As he stumbles back, I pull his swords out of my body and toss then back to his feet. Kirito picks up his swords and again goes on the attack, this time I parry his first attack and smack him with my flail causing him to stumble backwards. I move in as he recovers, and with the head of my flail in hand, I punch Kirito in the gut with the staff, then uppercut with my shield, then letting the flail loose I spin left and smack him in the face, I continue to spin until I face him and, with all my might, shield bash him and Kirito falls to the ground defeated. The duel is over and Kirito lost which surprised some people in the crowd, as Kirito tries to get up I kneel down and whisper to him.

(Y/n): Men don't have to be perfect to make women happy. All a man really needs to do is love her like he promised when they first dated. Ypu failed and now you must live with that failure.

     I stand up and walk to Asuna who had a slight smile on her face but also still had some tears threatening to start streaming down her face. She then hugs me and we head back to my flat and I let her calm down over some tea and dinner. As Asuna looks at me she grows a massive blush on her face.

(Y/n): Are you alright, Asuna?

Asuna: Well, sort of. I guess after staying with you and seeing you defend me and being so supportive, I have come to a realization.

     Asuna then gets up from her seat sits next to me on the couch and takes my hand in hers, her brown eyes sparkling in the low light of sunset. Before it registers with me, Asuna leaned in and gave me a long, soft, but heartfelt kiss on the lips. I soon got over the intial surprise and melt into it and wrapped my arms around her waist. We pull away when the need for air became too much to handle, Asuna then puts a huge smile on her face and says.

Asuna: I love you, (Y/n).

(Y/n): I...I love you too, Asuna.

     Asuna wraps her arms around my nexk and kisses me again and this she gets a little bit more passionate, I pick her up bridal style and carry her to bed. She then continues the passionate kiss and pulls me onto her, this was not going to be a quiet night.
