[Maverick sighs and walks back to the group]

Maverick: Fine. I'll stay. But once we go in, I'm finishing this myself. I don't need any of you.

[Koharu closes her eyes and breathes a sigh of relief. Asuna stood next to Maverick. Koharu stood next to Maverick as well]

Kibaou: Do we really need the Beater?

[Asuna and Koharu draw their rapiers]

Asuna/Koharu: Call him a Beater again. I dare you!

Maverick: Can we just get this meeting over with so I can go kill the boss?

[The meeting continued and then the group entered the labyrinth. Maverick stood in front of the door. No one moved]

Maverick: What are you waiting for?

Kibaou: You said that you could beat the three bosses by yourself. Let's see if that's true.

Kirito: I'm behind you, Maverick. No one kills you but me.

Koharu: Wherever you go, I go.

Asuna: Same goes for me.

Maverick: I feel like that's a reference of some kind.

[The group enters the labyrinth and just like he said, Maverick began fighting the bosses by himself. He had some anger he had to release. He attacked all three bosses at the same time so they all would attack him at the same time. He had them right where he wanted them]

Maverick: Holy Swipe!

[Maverick took out the first boss with just two swings]

Maverick: Fire Slant!

[Maverick struck the second boss]

Koharu: He's setting up his combo!

Maverick: Flame Wave!

[Maverick took a mighty swing and killed the second boss. He faced the third one and readied his skill]

Maverick: Crimson Square Burst!

[Maverick completed his combo and killed the third boss. The spectators stood in awe. Maverick said nothing but started to leave the boss room. The group parted and gave him a path to walk]

Kibaou: He's a monster!

[Kirito drew his sword]

Kirito: He is no monster. He is someone who will win the game for us.

[Maverick was almost out the boss room when Koharu ran up beside him]

Maverick: What are you doing?

Koharu: You kept your promise. I'll stay by you.

[Asuna made her way to Maverick]

Maverick: You coming too?

[Maverick leaves the boss room with Koharu and Asuna following him]

Maverick: Leave.

Asuna/Koharu: No.

Maverick: I said leave!

Asuna/Koharu: NO!

Maverick: I'll just dissolve the party.

Koharu: Even if you do, we'll stay by your side.

[Maverick sighs]

Koharu: It's okay to cry, Maverick.

Maverick: No it isn't. It's a sign of weakness.

Koharu: A real man shows his emotions.

Maverick: Whatever. Let's just head to the 3F.
