▬▬▬▬ ❤️ ▬▬▬▬

After that incident with the bunny from Shin's place, I was still curious about how the restaurant had changed within a day.

It's impossible for them to just renovate and change everything so quickly — including the internal and external designs. From the seaside vibe to having a forest-like atmosphere. It would take at least two to three days maximum to set those.

Confused, I decided to go back again but this time, much earlier so I could see if there were really people trying to fix the restaurant before someone could even see it. Possibly 6 am would be a good time, maybe less.

So, fixing my hair after I took a bath, I made sure to wear something comfortable like a black long sleeve shirt and blue jeans before taking out my white converse from the shoe rack and wear it.

Putting on a black cap on my head, I finally grab my brown waist bag before going outside and taking a cab to go back to where the restaurant was located.

It was only a fifteen-minute ride to get there so as soon as I got off the vehicle, I ran towards the restaurant to catch it in the act. However, all I saw was the same restaurant area but with a new design this time.

Maybe I missed it.

I couldn't help but sigh. Next time, I'll make sure to see it happening.

It was more focused on wooden yet classical design, though it felt like it was more on fancy dining — considering the lights hanging on it.

A bit nervous to even know who was behind the kitchen this time, I opened the door with shaky hands. If Yohan had been assigned to Mondays, Shin for Tuesdays, what about this one?

I knew for sure that it wouldn't be the same chef this time so I tried greeting with a hello — hoping that there would be someone to answer. But it was silent, making me wonder if Shin was still on the counter.

The internal design of the restaurant had changed. Most of the tables were made out of mahogany and black chairs inside complemented the color.

The lights were all minimalist and retro pendant shaped, all of them hanging high on the ceiling.

After taking a glance around the restaurant, I suddenly heard someone yawning and finally standing up from a chair behind the counter.

When I looked over, I was shocked to see someone standing up before jumping as he saw me. His black ruffled hair showed me that he had only woken up the time I had finally finished taking a look at the restaurant itself. His hazel eyes squinted from my sudden appearance and I decided to break the silence.

"Oh, I apologize. Did I startle you?" I couldn't help but ask as he blinked a few more times before apologizing to me instead.

"Not really. Sorry if I couldn't greet you. Are you here for breakfast?" He then went to get some ingredients from the back. Though, I could still hear him asking questions.

"What would you like to have this morning? I'll give you a menu after I get some ingredients here. But I just want to inform you this is a grill restaurant," he informed me so I would have an idea what to expect.

"Had I interrupted your sleep? I could come back later—"

"No, no, I'm just taking a nap. It's alright," he answered before giving me a smile, a dimple on his cheeks showing. I slowly nodded before looking around. I heard his footsteps shuffling so I could tell he went right back to the kitchen.

Most kinds of restaurants like this don't offer other dishes like Shin or Yohan's. It would be better if I'd take the menu. Might be able to see what it offers instead. Picking the same table once again, I smiled as I waited patiently for the chef.

When he came back, he stopped in his tracks — making me raise my eyebrow. "Is there something wrong?"

"Ah, nothing. It's just that spot—" he quickly pointed out and I chuckled.

"I'm sorry, has Yohan and Shin mentioned about me?" As soon as he heard those names, he looked relieved and I already knew what I might expect tomorrow and the other day.

Laughing a bit, he then waved his hands.

"They only mentioned a lady coming here from breakfast to lunchtime and what seat she always goes to. So, I figured it would be you." Nodding in understanding, I then saw him grabbing a menu before giving it to me.

I didn't want to be rude but I couldn't help but ask his name. He only grinned before replying shortly. "Ah, my name? I won't tell you."

"It's quite unfair not to know yours first." I swear, this guy. I only laughed and snapped my fingers a bit.

"Clever. I thought you were like Shin and Yohan," I mentioned as he shook his head.

"This is how it works in Summit Ridge Grill. I'll only give information in exchange for yours first."

I then hummed. "Alright, the name's Lin."

"Real name." My eyes widened at this.

"How'd you know I was lying?" He then pointed at my fingers.

"You were drumming your fingers. You seem a bit nervous. Plus, you were blinking too much." As he went back to his station, my eyes quickly focused on the lights hanging on the ceilings and avoiding eye contact.

"That obvious, huh?" Even though he didn't answer, I could imagine him nodding to me.

Sighing, I sat upright, putting both my hands on top of the table instead of just staying on the sides. "Fine, the name is Dara. Full name is Dara Lin Chaeng."

"I'm Kang Minho, at your service."

Smiling, I then told him my order that I'd just get some grilled steak, potatoes, and just cola to match it up.

As he went back to cook, I couldn't help but get curious about the pantry. The last time I saw it, there was a bunny coming straight out of it. Maybe it was still there, I thought.

Standing up and walking towards where it was, I could feel Minho's eyes staring in my direction and suddenly heard him following.

"Sorry, the pantry's off limits. We don't let anyone go in here." Looking at the door intently, I saw pictures of hikers and one of them was Minho.

Though, some of them had different flags and it didn't seem to be in Korea. Grinning, I stared at it a bit longer than usual.

"I didn't know you were a hiker." He only rubbed his nape as he nodded. "So you've been to a lot of places before."

"We can discuss that in the front. Not in front of a pantry." I could see how he was always trying to pull me away from the door. Though, out of my curiosity, before he could even pull me back, my hand opened the door to the pantry.

A man suddenly came out of it, making both of us gasp. Taking some few steps back, the stranger only huffed and went to the front, sitting on one of the tables as if he had known the place for weeks. And when I returned my gaze back at the door, my eyes widened and suddenly ran towards it — not even minding Minho's screaming my name.

Seoraksan.

We were on top of it.
