▬▬▬▬ 🧡 ▬▬▬▬

After that little exchange of chats and meals given at the bistro yesterday, I went to go grab another one. The meals were all seafood themed but I'm still happy that I knew some of the meals listed there. But this time, for breakfast since I was exhausted to even cook a meal this early.

Plus, a short walk seem fine so I wouldn't get lost that much.

Yohan said that he'd be open at 7 am on Tuesday and that the theme would probably be meat or pasta this time — which made me excited. Plus, I would like to pay him back for the food yesterday and that it would be nice to have one place to go to when I'm lost.

He could even be the person to ask about other tourist spots or food places that I would love to visit in Korea.

As soon as I arrived, I was shocked to see a small yet different restaurant in the seaside bistro. I can't help but furrow my eyebrows at this as I kept looking around. Clearly, I don't think that this is the wrong area. I'm sure it was this spot.

Instead of seeing the blue design of the sea on the logo on top, it was now replaced by a tree and a green signature.

My hands ruffled my hair a bit in confusion, looking at the new restaurant that was in its place. Surely there was a mistake here. It's impossible for a bistro to go bankrupt all of a sudden and take the building down in a day. Plus, the construction of a new one would take days.

"Are you planning to have your lunch here?" That same phrase. I couldn't help but turn my attention to the guy wearing some gloves and carrying a box in his hands. His glasses had already fallen off to his nose as he struggled to put them back up before smiling.

"Ah, no, I was just wondering where the old restaurant was. And also, it's breakfast. I don't think lunch would be the fitting phrase to say this early," I corrected him as he went inside and put the box near the door before coming back to answer me.

He chuckled at my comment.

"Sorry, I figured you'd get comfortable if I say those words. Sadly, it just causes more confusion," he replied.

Raising an eyebrow, I tried to ask him, "I'm sorry, have we met? Or could it be that you knew Kim Yohan?"

He shrugged at me and smirked. "Take a wild guess."

Ah, he probably knew. Maybe these two were best friends.

"Alright, since you seem to know the guy, where is he? He told me he'd cook some new cuisines for today." His face then went pale and he could only cough.

"He said that? Sorry, he's on leave right now," he told me before scratching the back of his head. "I'm actually the chef when it comes to Tuesdays."

The realization came and I couldn't help but let my mouth stay agape. So, we were both surprised at this point since both of us got tricked. It took us minutes before we finally let things go.

The guy then decided to let me in the restaurant, telling me that he'd give me a menu of what he was offering in the meantime.

I only sat at the same table that I had yesterday since I was still confused over what happened. The interior and exterior look of the restaurant wasn't the same. It was almost as if I was being pranked right now.

The frames where it shows the sea and the water were all gone. Some of them were already pictures of the forest, a few deer, and even photos of bunnies were hung up on the wall.

As the guy came back, I wanted to ask him his name but I noticed the little ID pinned on his jacket.

Shin.

"If you're wondering what my full name is, it's Park Yeong Shin. Shin for short." That surprised me since he wasn't even looking at me, only at the menu that he was about to pass to me. When he noticed my reaction, he only gave a smile before putting the menu down on my table.

"Tuesdays are mostly focused on American style bistro so I offer mostly burgers, fries, sandwiches, salads-" He was about to talk about more food but he was suddenly stopped by someone knocking at the door. His eyes widened so I'm guessing they don't get many guests or people coming around.

Shin then excused himself as he answered the man outside. Looking at the menu, I decided to just get some chicken, burger, and fries. A few potato chips on the side and soda. And when I was about to order, my eyes caught a peek of what the delivery man was putting inside.

Some of them were vegetables and fruits that's going to be used for the meals. Though, what made me wonder was the number of boxes of carrots that were on the order when they were being wheeled inside.

"I'll help you with the pantry if you want, Mr. Park." I expected Shin to accept the offer but he refused it and told the delivery man that he could handle it.

He then got the boxes, dragged them, and carried them towards one of the doors in the back – probably putting them in the pantry. After that, he came back and even thanked the delivery man.

As soon as the man had left, he then turned to me. "What would you like to order?"

"I'd have a burger, fries, potato chips, and soda." The look on his face said it all.

Well, I was going in for Yohan's recommendation but I'd want something I'm familiar with.

"You don't want at least a pancake or a salad with your meal?" he asked me as I shook my head. Not questioning even further, he gave me a nod and decided to cook my meal.

"I guess the seaside bistro is something else-" Shin then cuts me off.

"It's Greenwood." That caught me off guard since he only coughed at this and continued to cook. I stayed silent, not knowing what to say. I wanted to ask him why the sudden change of name though it all disappeared when he left the door open on the pantry.

I was shocked to see a bunny hopping into frame and stopping right in front me. I knew that I was probably seeing things but I just had to make sure.

"Uh, Shin, there's a bunny in front of me."

His eyes widened and he quickly left the cooking station in a hurry, grabbing the little bunny before pushing it to the pantry - closing it with pursed lips and wide eyes.

"Don't tell me that what I saw was a real bunny. You've been keeping pets?" I was shocked to hear him sigh and nod nervously, an awkward smile plastered on his face afterward.

"Yes, pets. That one is a pet."

But the way he said it was suspicious.
