The sun had set and the gang returned back to headquarters. "I'm going to compare the glow of those footprints to the pterodactyl scale." Velma says. "I'll help." Gwen says, as she and Velma head to the lab. "We'll check out Wickles' book." Fred says. He, Daphne, and Kevin group up.

"Dude, the Faux Ghost is an awesome clue." Shaggy says to Scooby. "Reah." The Great Dane replies. "But what to do with it?" Shaggy questions. "Let's rolve the mystery." Scooby suggests. "If we solve the mystery by ourselves, it would certainly prove to the gang that we belong." Shaggy says. "Then what are we waiting for?" Ben speaks up. "Let's head over there and see if we can get Old Man Wickles' to talk. Also, I'm coming with." Ben says, "Because no offense, but someone's going to have to keep an eye on you two." He adds. "Like, great. But first, let's give the gang the old 'slipperooney.'" Shaggy says.

They head to the kitchen and Shaggy grabs a can of whipped cream from the fridge. He shakes it a little and sprays a lot in Scooby's mouth. "Hey guys," Ben says, getting everyone's attention. "Scooby is feeling kind of-" Seeing that Scooby wasn't moving, Shaggy grabs his collar to show his mouth covered in whipped cream. "Like, he's got rabies." Shaggy says. Scooby acts as if he's moaning in agony. "We're just gonna go outside to get some fresh air." Shaggy says, as he heads outside with Scooby. "And I'll go with, in case they need help." Ben says, and follows after the two. Fred, Daphne, and Kevin share look but then shrug it off resume back to work.

In the lab, Velma and Gwen were scanning the pterodactyl scale and once the machine is done, it showed randamonium on one the screens. "Jinkies." Velma says. "Looks like we've got something." Gwen smirks. The two walked out of the lab and walked over to the others. "What's up, Velms?" Fred asks, as Velma takes the book from him. "The analysis of the pterodactyl scale. It contains randamonium, which this book says is the critical ingredient needed to make monsters." Velma says, looking in the book.

"Doesn't randamonium glow?" Daphne asks. "Like those footprints in Wickles' mansion." Kevin recalls. "If we can prove Wickles is behind this, this mystery goes down like dot-com, and Coolsville digs us again." Fred summarizes. "Randamonium is the byproduct of certain silver mines." Gwen says. "Like the abandoned mining town in Old Coolsville." Fred points out. Velma nods her head in conformation. "Then we better get to the mining town and see what's-"But before she could finish, she gasps in horror and drops the book, getting on her knees and crawling away. "I'm invisible. I'm invisible." She mumbles. There was a knock and the others look to find Patrick at the door. Velma goes over the couch, "Get rid of him!"

Daphne lets out a sigh, "Keep him busy." She tells Fred and Kevin, as she and Gwen go after Velma. They follow her to the lab as she continues to crawl on the ground. "Velma, what are you doing?" Gwen asks her. "He wants to ask me on a date." Velma answers, panicking. "It's okay to be scared." Daphne tells her. "I am not scared." Velma denies. "I've fought werewolves and ghosts. But in the end, I know we usually unmask them and it's a shriveled scared man inside." "Well, that's the same as dating." Daphne says, as she and Gwen crawl on the floor to find her. "Velma, it's okay to be afraid. When Kevin and I first started dating, he turned out to be a really sweet and thoughtful guy. And Patrick's already a great guy, so imagine what else you'll find out about him if you give him a chance." Gwen tells Velma, remembering how she and Kevin first started out.

"Also, Velma, have you ever considered that maybe werewolves and ghost are just a distraction to keep you away from what really frightens you?" Daphne questions. She and Gwen come face-to face with Velma. "Intimacy with another person." She tells her. "And by intimacy, it means he thinks you're really hot." Velma gives her a sad look, "But, I'm more comfortable in the world of logic and fact. And.... I'm not hot." She says, not confident in herself. "Everybody has something, Velma." Gwen tells her, as she, Daphne, and Velma stand up. "The object to a healthy relationship is to never let the other person know they're there." Daphne tells Velma.

Velma looks to find Fred and Kevin making a toast with Patrick and backs away to make sure she wasn't seen by him. "Daph, Gwen, I really like this guy. What would you do if someone thought that you were some glamorous, mysterious jet-setter?" She asks them. "I'd make myself one." Daphne says, and takes Velma's hand.

Sometime later, Velma slowly walks down the stairs with an orange jumpsuit, her hair style changed, and wearing makeup. Patrick, Fred, and Kevin look up and become utterly speechless at her new look. "Who's your mommy?" Velma says, in a seductive tone. "My-My mommy?" Patrick stutters, confused. "Come on, let's solve a mystery." Velma says, as the boys share a look. (Author here and I'm  gonna be honest, Velma looking and acting like that did not sit well for me. Bring me back Smart Velma!)

Once the gang was ready, they made their way to Mystery Machine. Velma nearly trips due to walking in heels. Her suit also makes squeaky noises. "Uh, Velma? Do you have to go to the bathroom?" Patrick asks her. "No, I can't in this outfit." She tells him. Kevin raises a brow at her. "What did you two do to her?" He asks Gwen. She rolls her eyes and let out a soft sigh, "That was all Daphne. I'm worried that it might give Patrick the wrong idea." She answers him. They enter the van as Patrick opens the door for Velma, who struggles with her suit but makes it in and sits down. Patrick enters after, then Gwen and finally Kevin who closes the door.
