Harvest Time

Harvest never really made much sense to me growing up. I always regarded it as cold weather and spending a lot of time in church celebrating.

We always give thanks this time of year. It's when the food is at high priority due to the winter that's ahead! Yeah Game of Thrones got nothing on our Winter hehe
This is the vital stage to ensure all crops are harvested and everyone is plentiful in their food supplies and cattle feed.

There would be a Harvest Gathering in the local villages and all would attend. Everyone would bring a item of food that they could donate to the cause.

People who then drink mulled wine and discuss the plans for the upcoming months.  This would allow everyone to keep organised and also have some fun before the hard work.

Yes before anyone says it was the original canned food drive.

Every year to this day we still give thanks for Harvest. A few of my Friends did not know about it so I thought I would put this up to keep the Harvest Tradition out there for people to learn..
