They gaze at their mother who doesn't seem to be interested at all. She's busy doing her work, not even bothering to glance at him.

''Mumma, aise kyun kiya aapne? Aapko pata hai na humne Dad ke liye surprise plan kiya hai fir kyu  bheja??" They demanded an answer from their mother who gave them a sharp look.

She's Anamika Mittal, an advocate in Mumbai High court. A lady who can't stand wrong, she's hard working and dedicated towards her work. Loves her family. But currently pissed off because of her son and daughter who are accusing her for no reason.

''Bolo na mumma!! Hum tabse kuch puch rahe hai aur aap batati hi nahi!" Aanya, her daughter shot her with another question. She's 15 and studying in Vivekananda High School.

''Wahi toh!! Aise toh aap bolti rehti ho par jab kuch pucho toh chup ho jaati ho.'' Her son, Ansh spoke, making a face. He's 17 and is in first year of engineering college.

Anamika rolls her eyes,''kya bolu main?? Dono tab se interrogation kiye jaa rahe ho mere se. Arey itna toh main court mei question nahi karti jitna dono tabse mujh se kar rahe ho. Dekho, chup chap apne room mei jao mujhe pareshan na karo!!" She ordered them.

''Arey, ye kya baat hui? Ek toh aap batati nahi Dad ko kahan bheja uspe dant rahi ho!" Aanya pouts at her mother.

''Tumhare pyare Dad apni meeting ke liye gaye hain aur shayad raat ko hi wapas aaye!!" She told them, they frowned.

''Par kyun? Aapko pata hai na humne unke liye surprise plan kiya hai? Aaj unka birthday hai, aapne roka kyun nahi unko?" Ansh demanded an answer.

''Main kaise rokti? Tumhare Dad apne kaam ke aage kissi ki nahi sunte jante ho na? Meine bola tha nahi jaane ko par wo chale gaye toh aab main kya karu?" Anamika questions them, irritated by their interrogation.

''Aapne mann se bola hi nahi hoga, warna dad aapki baat na maane aisa hota hi nahi!" Aanya exclaims, gazing at her mother.

Anamika rolls her eyes,''aisi kaunsi baat tumhare dad ne meri maan li jo aise bol rahi ho? Uss bande ko main din ko din bata dun wo nahi manta fir aur kya maanega meri? Dekho, tum dono nikal jao idhar se mera dimag na khao.'' She almost ordered them which they refuse to take, well they are her kids, stubborn like her.

''Noo!! Hum nahi jaayenge, aap dad ko call karo air abhi bulao!! Humko unke saath bahar jaana hai!!" They both exclaim in unison.

''Arey, hadh hai! Khud ka phone hai na karo call, mujh se koi umeed na rakho aur aab jo dono ne mere saath aur behes ki na toh aaj pitoge dono!!" Anamika almost shouted, she was getting hyper with their stubbornness and repeated questions.

Aanya makes a face, it seems their parents had an argument early in the morning and his father left despite her request to stay home for a day. They know their father doesn't see anything when it comes to business. He wouldn't cancel his meeting for his birthday, which he hardly celebrated, that too because they insist.

Aanya glanced at Ansh who shrugged his shoulders and they left the room, giving their mother some peace.

''Bhai, aab kya kare hum? Dad bhi chale gaye wo bhi shayad mumma se jhagda kar ke aur aab mumma bhi naraz hai. Aise mei hum sab arrangement kaise karenge?" Aanya asks in concern.

They had planned to organize a birthday party for their father, calling upon their love and close one but now everything seems to be falling apart with their mother's spoiled mood who would surely not help them with any arrangement and even their father is not around.

Ansh seems to be in deep thought, trying to figure out something to get help and in a moment he smirks.

''Chhoti hum itna kyun soch rahe hai, let's call Raina Maasi. Unn se achi help koi kar nahi sakta hamari!" Ansh exclaims as the girl he's talking about is an event planner and younger sister of their mother. 

Aanya's face lit up, hearing her name,''oh yes!! Main toh bhool hi gayi, chalo let's call Maasi and Reyansh bhai  too taki hamara kaam jaldi ho jaaye!!" She exclaims in excitement.

''Ree Bhai ko toh pehle hi call karke bula liya tha meine aur abhi Maasi ko bhi message kar diya hai, she'll be here within an hour.'' Ansh informed his sister who nodded.

Meanwhile the doorbell rings and Aanya runs to open the door knowing who it would be and as dhe opens the door she jumps on her toe.

''Bade papa aap aa gaye!!" She exclaimed in joy pulling the guy inside who happened to be Anamika's elder sister's husband, Ruhaan Khurana. Ansh and Aanya call him Bade papa and his wife Badi maa.

Ruhaan is a doctor by profession - a cardiologist, in a reputed hospital. He is a kind hearted, soft spoken person, who has a lot of love to give to others and Anamika's kids hold his heart, he loves them as his own.

Today, he took a day off as Aanya called him to help them, to which he readily agreed.

''Main bhi hoon Chhoti!!" A young lad of around 20 spoke from behind Ruhaan. He is Reyansh, Ruhaan and Ruhana's son. He's in college and also helps his mother in business.

Ruhana, Anamika's elder sister is a businesswoman and Vineet's business partner. They are good long time friends and now are tied in a relationship.

''Ree Bhai!! Come na, aapko invite karne ki jarurat thodi hai!" Aanya says pulling the guy inside.

Ruhaan rolls his eyes in the house and asks About Anamika.

''Bade papa aapki saali sahiba bahut gusse mei hai, shayad Dad ke saath jhagda hua unka aur unhone saara gussa hum pe utara.'' Ansh told him making a face.

''Ooho!! Pops bhi na jab dekho meri momsi ko gussa kar dete hai.'' Reyansh makes a face and runs to see Anamika for whom he holds immense love while the lady too has a precious place in her heart for the boy.

Reyansh knocked on the door and entered.

''Ansh, mera mood maat off kar baar baar ek hi baat puch ke. Tere Dad ke pass jab waqt hoga wo khud aa jaayenge!!" She exclaims in an angry tone, arranging her closet.

Reyansh doesn't reply but heads to her and hugs her from behind, Anamika immediately recognizes his touch and turns to look at him.

''Hii Momsi!!" The lad greeted her and pecked her cheek, Anamika chuckled at his act and reciprocated in the same manner. 

''Kaisa hai tu? Aur achanak yahan?" She questions him as she makes him sit on the bed and secure her seat beside.

''Main toh bilkul maze mei hoon lekin mujhe pata chala aap naraz ho kisse se. Isiliye main sab se pehle aap se milne aaya hoon, unko toh birthday wish bhi nahi kiya meine!" He told her, trying to convince her that he's on her side so that her mood will be a little up.

Anamika lightly slapped his cheek, she knows the guy is here for the preparation and wants her to join.

''Itna natajbaaz ho gaya hai aur wo Ansh bhi, dono mujhe behlate ho baaton mei.'' She pouts to which he side hugs her.

''Pyar bhi toh sab se jyada aapko karte hai hum!" He exclaims, making her chuckle at his words and later he pulls her downstairs in the hall where she was greeted by Ruhaan and her younger sister Raina.

''Dekho jara uske birthday ke liye sab log ikhatha ho gaye hai jab ki usko apna birthday celebrate karne mei interest bhi nahi. Par jab main bulati hoon toh koi na aata, sab ko kaam yaad aata hai tab, huhh!" Anamika makes a face glaring at her younger sister who always denies for any plan that she makes for them even Ruhana does the same.

After their parents, the three sisters are the only family to each other. Ruhana becomes their mother figure and Ruhaan never lets them feel lonely. Anamika feels at least they should meet once a week and share their feelings but the other two are hardly able to make time. For Ruhana, she have a business to handle though she's always there for them but taking a whole day off just to share what they did the whole week seem to be a little time waste to her though she asks Anamika to visit office where they can do whatever she asks but then it doesn't please Anamika. Ana in Raina's case, the girl is busy trying to make her career, she's trying hard to get hold of some big big deals and in such cases she doesn't want to waste even a second.

Anamika had been upset over the matter for a long time as not just her sisters but she even find her husband doing the same. He's always running behind work and she asks for some time to spend with her he denies straightly.

Even today, as it is his birthday, she wished him early in the morning with a sweet yet passionate smooch but he seemed annoyed with her act. And then when she asked him to stay home for a day he not just refused rudely for asking him frequently to take off but also shouted at her when she insisted.

Anamika comes out of her trance at Ruhana's voice.

''Aaj toh lagta hai meri pyari saali sahiba sab ki class lagane wali hai!!" He exclaims heading towards Anamika and wraps his arm around her.

Raina pounches on her other side and hugs her, keeping her head on her shoulder.

''Jeeju aap bhadkao nahi meri Di ko, she knows main busy thi isliye nahi aa pai otherwise jab bhi Di call karti hai main pahuch jaati hoon!!" Raina defended herself.

Anamika shrugs her off,''haan haan main ache se janti hoon sab kitne busy rehte hai. As if mujhe toh koi kaam hi nahi hai aise behave karte hai sab but it's okay main toh aab bolungi bhi nai kissi ko kuch, waise bhi logon ko lagta hai main unka time waste karwane ke liye bulati hoon unko toh let it be, aab se no calls, no messages!!" Anamika declares and walks off with the kids to help them while Raina and Ruhaan glanced at each other.

''Aaj toh Vineet gaya!!" Ruhaan exclaims as he concludes that Anamika was already sad with her sisters and Vineet added fuel to the fire.

''You never know jeeju kya pata he find some way.'' Raina winked at him to which he smirked.

''Ahem, saali sahiba lagta hai aapke liye bhi aab koi dhundhna padega, ladki jawan ho gayi hamari.'' He teased her, Raina rolls her eyes and runs to the other side as she doesn't want to talk over the matter and spill out something which she shouldn't.

Well, the girl is in a relationship with a guy who happens to be her college mate but they have not to tell anyone about their relationship until they are well settled.

Vineet had just ended his meeting on a happy note, he got the deal and it will earn him a lot of profit, he knows but still he doesn't find himself happy about it, reason being his wife with whom he had a heated argument this morning before he left the house for the meeting.

Vineet was lost in his thoughts, sipping his coffee silently when a lady nudged him. He looks up only to find his friend Ruhana staring at him.

''Kya hua Vineet tum itne pareshan kyun laag rahe ho? Is everything alright?" Ruhana asks in concern.

They have been together for many years. They met in college and have been with each other till now. Vineet always use to say he can never get a friend like Ruhana and the latter hold the same feeling.

It's because of Ruhana only, Anamika met him and they fell in love. Though Vineet had denied to marry her because of their age gap but then how long can one deny being away from their loved one? He couldn't hold on when he got to know that Anamika agreed to marry a guy of Ruhaan's choice which is genuine as the guy is like a father figure to them and Anamika had never denied to Anamika he asked her. Vineet was restless with the news only, the fear of losing her, the uneasiness when he tried to picture her with someone else made him cry. At the end he shared his feelings to Ruhana for he knew only Ruhana could help him and she did.

Ruhana being a liberal minded person, she knows age is just a number if you are mature you can handle things and she knew her sister is not a kid who would annoy the guy neither she's kiddish to not able to hold on her relation and if by any chance anything happen she's there to fix it.

Ruhana helped his friend and her younger one. They got married in no time and are happy. But sometimes things happen, Anamika demands certain things which he finds inappropriate and they end up arguing. Even today she demanded him to cancel the meeting which was scheduled a month ago and when he denied an argument followed.

Vineet let out a sigh,''I don't know what to do. These days Ana is always in a bad mood, like forever angry. Main jitna koshish karu kuch karne ki she doesn't want it if it's not her way, aab main har kaam uske mutabit toh nahi kar sakta na. Aaj bhi wo zidd pe add gai, kehti hai meeting cancel kar doh. Matlab meine kab se usse bola hua tha iss meeting ka and she never said anything aaj suddenly kehti hai mat jao. God knows what is she upto.'' Vineet says his concern and places the coffee mug on the table with a thud, he seems to be a little annoyed.

Ruhana reached for his hand,''Vineet relax, I know tum pareshan ho but I guess uska mood kaafi din se off hai, mujh se bhi baat nahi kar rahi wo na Raina se. Haan, Ruhaan aur Ree ko call karti rehti hai but last one month mei mujhe ek bhi call nahi aaya uska. Main janti hoon she's upset kyunki hum mil nahi paa rahe kyunki i'm busy with the project aur Raina bhi apne kaam mei busy hai, isliye wo naraz ho gayi sab se.'' Ruhana stated for she know what made her sister upset.

Vineet shook his head as he thinks otherwise,'' wo khud bhi busy rehti hai, raaton ko baith ke case study karti rehti hai. I think kuch aur baat hai, pata nahi kya? Wo bolti bhi toh nahi kya baat hai.'' He let out a deep sigh, Anamika's behavior not just annoyed him but tensed him as well.

Ruhana thinks for a while and decides to check out the matter. As it's Vineet's birthday the family must be gathered at his place and there she can converse with Anamika.

''Chalo ghar chalte hai, wahin sort out karte hai matter ko!" She suggested to which Vineet agrees and they leave the place after paying for the stuff.

It's already 5, the sun has begun to set but there was no sign of Vineet neither Ruhana and the kids were upset about it, they had requested Anamika to call Vineet which she straightly refused. Ruhaan had though call Ruhana but her phone was unreachable so was Vineet's.

''Dad ko jaana hi nahi tha aaj, birthday ke din kaun meeting ke liye jata hai. Aab wo aayenge bhi toh jaldi machayenge, kahenge i'm tired toh jaldi end karo, huhh!!" Aanya stamped her foot, Reyansh and Ansh exchanged glances.

''Di tumhe rokna chahiye tha na Jeeju ko!!" Raina nudges Anamika who shot her a deadly glare.

''Jeeju isko bolo mujh se baat na kare!!" Anamika says to Ruhaan who lifts his hand in the air denying to interfere in their matter.

''Kis se kisse baat nahi karni bhai??" A familiar voice echoed in the hall, they turned to see the owner and finds Ruhana and Vineet standing at the door. It's Ruhana who had asked the question.

Raina runs to them and holds Vineet's arm.

''Jeeju aap meri behen ko naraz kar ke gaye aur ab wo mujh se bhi baat na kar rahi. Jab se aai hoon mujhe dekh bhi nahi rahi bas baithi hai.'' Raina complained to Vineet.

''Oh please haan tum mujh pe ilzaam na lagao. Infact mujhe tumhe dantna chahiye kyunki tumhari wajah se meri biwi upset hai aur mujh se ladd rahi hai. So it's you who's at fault!" He exclaims pulling her nose, Raina rolls her eyes at him.

''Haan haan, tum saare ek dusre pe ilzaam lagao par galti toh sab ki hai. Tum teeno busy rehte ho aur hum do becharon ko koi time nahi deta isliye hum dono hi baat nahi karenge kissi se!!" Ruhaan exclaims, side hugging Anamika.

Vineet gaze at Ruhana to which Ruhaan again teased him.

''Aab tum usse kyun dekh rahe ho? Aaj toh wo bhi tumhari help nahi kar sakti kyunki usne bhi galti ki hai. Huhh!! Dono dost ek jaise!" He makes a face and glances at Anamika through the corner of his eyes who still has a blank expression on her face.

''Ye tumhara pati itna kyun uchal raha hai? Aise hi itni problem hai uss pe ye aur bhadka raha hai usse.'' Vineet murmured to Ruhana who shrugged her shoulders glaring at her husband.

''Offo!! Aap log bhi na kya batein le ke baith gaye ho. Dad!! Aap kahan the?? Aaj ke din toh aapko ghar mei rehna chahiye tha na, aaj aapka birthday hai aur aap meetings mei busy ho, very bad!!" Aanya scolds her father and pulls him inside.

Ruhana calls for Reyansh and asks if Anamika had been the same with him.

''Momsi mujh se kyun naraz hongi bhai, aap logon ne naraz kiya hai unko meine nahi. Wo toh niche bhi nahi aa rahi thi wo toh main aaya toh unko niche laya.'' Reyansh told his mother.

''Haan badi maa, mumma ka mood bahut off hai. Subha toh humko danta bhi unhone!" Ansh narrated the morning incident.

Ruhana let out a sigh and took a glance at Raina who shrugs her shoulders.

''Meri toh baat hi na hui ache se par wo shayad isliye naraz hai kyunki hum unse milne na aaye!" Raina says, assuming.

Ruhana gazes at Anamika and then at Ruhaan who was busy telling her something. Ruhana called him who made a face to her.

''What is this Ruhaan? Tum jante ho wo hum sab se naraz hai fir kyun aur bhadka rahe ho usse? Tumhe toh usse samjhana chahiye par tum ho ki jaane kya kar rahe ho.'' Ruhana scolded her husband who made a wry face.

''Main kyun samjha, naraz tum logon ne kiya hai toh manana bhi tumko padega. Aur waise bhi tum logon ko hi time na tha ek call bhi uthane ka toh aab bhugto!" He exclaims and again heads to Anamika.

Vineet gazes at Ruhana and asks about the matter who shook her head negatively, he sighs dejected.

''Dad aap kya soch rahe ho, chalo na ready hote hai fir humko cake bhi cut karna hai. Pata hai mumma ne aapka favorite cake banaya hai aur aapke pasand ka dinner bhi!!" An excited Aanya told her father, she's excited for the birthday more than anyone else reason being she had always got a gift on her father's birthday from him and this year he had promised her to get a macbook.

But a hope built up in Vineet when he got to know that his lady had baked the cake and prepared dinner of his choice for him.

Aanya pulls him to his room and selects a suit for him which he wears without any objection.

Here Ruhana takes her seat on one side and Raina on the other, Ruhaan was knocked out of the scene for he may messed up their efforts when he didn't agree Ansh and Reyansh took him along.

''Ana kya hua? Kyun upset hai tu?" Ruhana questions trying to hold her hand which she pulls back.

''Arey meine kya kiya hai? Meine bataya tha na main busy thi aur kaha bhi toh tha tujhe office aane ko par tujhe nahi aana tha aur aab tu hi naraz ho ke baithi hai, ye kahan ki baat hui?" Ruhana pouts but Anamika doesn't react.

Raina nudges her,''Anu Di kuch toh bolo na!!'' She requested.

Anamika look up at her,''main kyun bolu? Waise bhi kissi ko time nahi meri baat sunne ko fir kyun bolu main? Vineet toh hamesha se hi aisa hai, usko sirf apna kaam dikhta hai jab kabhi khud mann ho toh jaldi aa jaaye nahi toh office mei baitha rehta hai. Par I didn't expect you guys to behave like him. Uske paas toh time nahi hi rehta kabhi aur aab aap dono bhi ignore kar rahe ho. Aab main chup ho gayi toh wo bhi manjur nahi kissi ko.'' Anamika scoffs and closes her for a few seconds to calm herself.

Vineet is workaholic and gives more importance to his work, she knows that but what hurts her most is her sisters have started to behave like him. Indulging too much in work and not giving enough time to each other.

Ruhana understands what Anamika is going through. But what they did was not intentional, it just happened, they were suddenly caught up with workload which couldn't be denied and to meet up their work progress they have to sacrifice their sleep and family time. But she's free now and wants to make up for that.

''Ana, I'm really sorry!! I know I'm not right at my path but it wasn't intentional. Tu janti hai na i've been always there for you all but these days I have to give more attention to business. Last few deals mei humko bas loss hi hue hai aur isliye we had to work hard. But I promise aab aisa nahi hoga, please aise chup mat reh!!" Ruhana requests and assures her words as she holds her hand tight, Raina too joins and promises to give her time.

Anamika stares at them for a moment, trying to convince herself that they wouldn't back off their words. Well, it's the first time something like this has occurred between them and she should give them a chance, she lightly smiles at them. Ruhana pulls her sisters in her arms who hide themselves in her chest, she pecks their heads.

Though, Ruhana solve her problem but she feared to touch Vineet's topic as she finds it a problem between husband and wife which they should solve by themselves.

Vineet was standing in the center, a big cake on the table was placed before him and his family surrounded him. The kids were clapping and singing enthusiastically, Ruhana, Ruhaan and Raina seemed to be happy as well but Anamika was standing with a straight face. Though she was clapping and singing the birthday song for him, her expression says she's not interested in standing there at all. She didn't even change her dress, though the one she's wearing is not bad either but unlike others her dress doesn't match with the environment around.

Vineet was standing with the knife, staring at his wife all the time while others waited for the cake cutting. Reyansh notices his stare and pulls Anamika, he makes her stand beside him and insists on holding his hand, when she takes time Ansh made her hold his father's hand who took the opportunity and made Anamika hold the knife and he held her hand. Raina produces sound in order to tease them but shuts herself when Ruhana rolls her eyes.

''I'm sorry!!" Vineet whispered in her ears which she heard but ignored.

They cut the cake, Vineet fed her and other presents there then came the gifts which he accepted with a smile. After that the kids played on the music to have some fun at the party but Vineet asks to turn off the music player when Anamika again leaves his side and heads towards the kitchen.

Anamika takes a sharp turn when she hears him singing.

Anamika stares at him, it's when she felt Raina had just hugged her from behind.

Ruhana too joins them as she states at the happy faces around.

Aanya almost jumps on her parents, Vineet smiles at her girl and gives her the gift he promised. Aanya jumps at her toe and hugs her father tight, Vineet pecks her head.

Anamika observes her family reunion and their happy faces and it forms a smile on her lips. It makes others happy at their achievement.

The small party ends on a happy note. After the dinner and little chit chat, Ruhana and Raina decide to leave but Anamika insists on staying for a night which they had to agree for they didn't want to upset her again.

Anamika shows a room to Raina and one to Ruhana and Ruhaan while Reyansh adjusts himself with his siblings.

After a long day, it's finally time to face each other - alone!!

When Anamika enters the room after all her work, she finds him waiting for her, still in his suit, sitting at the edge of bed.

''Biwi, we need to talk!!" He spoke when he find her moving towards the washroom.

''We had enough talk in the morning and now I don't want any of that. I'm tired and I need some sleep!" She exclaims taking steps towards the washroom.

Vineet was swift enough to hold her hand and pull her to himself, she dashed with him.

''I'm tired as well!! But I need to talk right now kyunki main janta hoon tum ne pure din mei baaton ka hawa mahal toh bana hi liya hoga jismei main Villain bhi ban chuka hoon par I need to clear my part. I'm sorry for shouting over you but I was upset with your sudden demand, main abruptly meeting cancel nahi kar sakta hoon kyunki usmei main akele involve nahi hoon. I know, I shouldn't have shouted at you, I know I did wrong and I'm sorry for that please!" He keeps his point, she stares at him blankly.

''Come on, I shouldn't be showered with your ignorance on my birthday at least!!" He pouted, she let out a sigh.

''You have been doing the same with me for the past many days. Main nahi bol rahi toh bura laag raha hai tum toh paas bhi nahi hote ho, bolna toh door ki baat hai!!" She scoffs, her eyes not meeting him.

''And that's why I'm apologizing because I know I did wrong but I promise I won't repeat that ever, please Ana give me a chance!!" He almost pleaded this time and Anamika wasn't sure.

Okay, she can give him a chance but there isn't any guarantee that he won't repeat the mistake for he's really bad keeping promises especially when it's about her.

Anamika was lost in thought when she felt his warm lips on herself as she rolled her eyes, he took her in a deep smooch, so deep that she felt he would reach her soul any moment or her soul may jump out because of his sucking. Even at the moment she finds herself in confusion, whether to respond to him or not? In the first place, is the kiss appropriate or justiciable on her part or not? Anamika wasn't sure of anything and ended up holding him when he didn't leave her, instead pulled her closer, leaving no gap in between them.

She responded and broke the smooch in the next few seconds. She gazed at him and kept gazing at him for many moments. Vineet shook his head in affirmation though he wasn't sure why his wife was exactly staring at him but when he nodded the next moment she hugged him tight. He too wrapped his arms around her protectively. Anamika though was still in some confusion let it go for she feels sometimes one had to go with the flow and also because she had chosen him for herself, they married because they love each other so they need to accept their love and claws and even their mistakes. And she just applied it to the situation.

They didn't say a word, neither looked at each other nor did they change. They retire on the bed with what they were wearing, holding onto each other tight, their lips though silent speak thousands of words, louder than their lips could have done. He occasionally steals glances and pecks her head in between to which she just smiles but any action doesn't come from her side, just smiles and he was satisfied with it.
