Okay so as most of you probably know, I am a huge Hamilton fan. And as many Hamilton fans do, I greatly admire Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the musical.

So, sometime last May around the end of school, I decided to write him a letter, telling him how much I admire his work— not just Hamilton, but In the Heights, 21 Chump Street, and Moana. I had seen some photos around the Internet of his responses to letter, and part of me hoped for a response (ok, most of me), but as the months went by, I mostly forgot about it.

I certainly wasn't thinking about it when my dad came in the door after getting the mail in August, asking me if I knew why I had a letter from Broadway New York.

I froze. Took the letter. Saw that it was from Lin.

Managed to refrain from screaming.

I ripped the envelope open so fast, it's a miracle the letter itself didn't tear.

And here it is:

Even though I actually got the reply a couple months ago, I am still very very VERY excited about it.

So yeah. If you want a reply from a celebrity, then I would highly recommend writing Lin.
