Okay in reality the reason is because for a while everyone wanted llamas because— because they're llamas why wouldn't you want one??

But then people realized 

What do you do with a llama

(I mean besides hug them and ride them and love them but they're talking about money making)

So they stopped breeding them as much. Not as much of a crisis, but still.
