I yoinked all of this from my book Sexuality, which is on a different account. It goes more in depth, since it's meant specifically for that. If you're interested, check it out here: PaigeHC22

capacity for sexual feelings.

^ This is the definition of sexuality. For some, this may be confusing. In this chapter, I will be breaking sexuality down to its simplest forms.

Let's start with why we have a sexuality.
Sexuality derives from the idea of procreating, or making children. People think that procreating is rather simple. All you need to do is have sex. And while they aren't entirely wrong, it's actually a bit more complicated than that.

To have sex, you must be aroused to do it. Let's take a straight/heterosexual couple for example.

You have 1 man and 1 woman.

To be able to have sex, the man must be able to have an erection, or a hard on/boner.
For that to happen, he must be physically aroused to gain the erection.
This means he has to be physically attracted to the woman to be able to get aroused.

To be able to have sex, women tend to have an easier time. They do not need to be wet to have sex.
However, to get wet means that she must be physically aroused, just like the man.
This also means she must be physically aroused by the man.

Well, what makes someone aroused by a man or woman? That is when sexuality comes into play.

Your sexuality is what determines if you are physically aroused by a man or woman.

Without making things too confusing, I'll give a couple of examples.
My boyfriend is heterosexual. Meaning that he is only physically aroused by women.
Me, on the other hand, am bisexual. This means that I am physically aroused by both men and women.

As I explained in the last chapter, sexuality is what determines if you are physically attracted/aroused to men or women.
