Izumi'spov

"Morning, onii-san," I yawned, stepping out of my room and into the little hallway that separated mine and Shisui's rooms. Shisui patted my head, with a small smile, then took my hand in his.

"Good morning, imouto." We started walking to the breakfast table, hand i hand. "Are you ready?" I nodded solemnly, staring down at the floor as we walked. "It wont be like being a Jounin. Its more work and concentration."

"I know." I stated. "Good morning, mother, father." I greeted our parents, with an emotionless face.

"Good morning, darlings." Mother greeted. "Did you sleep well?" Both Shisui and I nodded as we sat down at our places at the table. "That's good. Breakfast is ready, then don't you need to get going?"

"Yes, mother, Izumi is starting on the team with Itachi and I." Shisui answered, picking up a rice ball from his plate and began eating. I did the same and kept my eyes on the table.

"Oh that's right." Father looked up from his tea, and settled his eyes on me. "Don't screw up, Izumi. Fugaku-sama will not be very accepting if you do."

"Yes, father."

"Father, the Anbu has been wanting Izumi to join for quite awhile now, Now they have their wish. Also, Fugaku-sama has been requesting for her to become a part of the police force." Shisui stated matter-of-factly. I looked up, glancing at my brother, who was finished eating.

"I see." Father said, rubbing a hand down his face as he thought. "Hurry up, you need to leave soon." Shisui and I both nodded, and stood, both of us finishing out food. "And Shisui."

"Yes, father?" Shisui stopped, looking down at our father.

"Keep an eye on your sister. She may be strong, but she is still your younger sister." Father gave a very small smile and then turned away. My twin looked at me in confusion but we both shrugged it off and turned to leave.

"We're off!" Shisui smiled and waved at mother, waiting patiently for me to finish pulling on my shoes. I stood and nodded once before we both took off running to the main house in the Uchiha compound. We needed to meet up with Itachi. We both started running as fast as our feet would take us.

"He should be ready!" Shisui called to me. I nodded and we continued to race through the compound, before skidding to a stop in front of a patiently waiting Uchiha. "Sorry we're late."

"Morning, Itachi." Itachi smiled a bit and bid good morning before turning to my twin and raised an eyebrow. "If we don't go now, we're going to be late." I pointed out to the now arguing Uchiha's.

"Right." Itachi and Shisui both took one of my hands and started running to HQ. I let them lead/drag me there and bumped into Itachi when they stopped abruptly.

"Ow.." I rubbed my poor nose. "Jerks." I mumbled under my breath. Both boys turned and raised an eyebrow at me as they smirked at each other.

"Let's go." I followed Shisui and Itachi into the dark building.  They lead the way through many dark halls to a large room.

"Ah, you must be the new addition to the Uchiha team." Shisui and Itachi knee led and I followed suit. I didn't answer and just watched the tall shadow of man stalk around the room. "I've heard of your abilities in combat and to say I'm impressed would be an understatement, Izumi."

Shisui and Itachi always kept their eyes on him. Watching as he assessed me.

"Now, today you will start on missions together as a full team. Your assignment is an S-rank, retrieve an important scroll from the Damyo in the Land of Tea." The dark man stated. "This mission would have been passed to a Jounin but Hokage-sama made it plainly clear that he wanted Anbu to take care of it. It seems that Orochimaru is after this specific scroll."

"We understand." Shisui answered.

"Dismissed." We stood and turned to leave. When we reached outside, we turned to each other.

"Meet at the gate in 10 minutes." Shisui instructed, Itachi and I nodded and we all flashed away to pack.

******

"Are we ready?" Shisui asked through his mask. We nodded and then set off. "We should make this quick."

"Of course." I answered. "What could be so important in the scroll that a Sannin would want it?" I jumped up into a tree, going from branch to branch.

"I don't know but whatever it is, we need to keep it hidden." Itachi followed after me while Shisui stayed at my side. Our usual formation when we train together. I leaped off of another branch.

************

It was silent as we made our way to the land of tea. We made it as far as the border of the Land of Iron before we decided to stop for the night.

"Alright, fires ready." Shisui announced as he plopped himself down in front of the orangish red flames.

"Everything is planned out. So let's just get some sleep." Itachi sat with us making a little triangle around the fire.

"Hey, Izu, what happened with Minato's team?" Shisui asked suddenly, he and Itachi looking at me with interest.

"What do you mean?" I stared right into my brothers eyes.

"I mean, why did you leave? You work as well with Obito as you do with us. So what's up with that, Izu?" Shisui explained.

"I'm curious as well, Izumi. You've never been very interested in Anbu. Always saying you were content being a Jounin." Itachi spoke up.

I gaped at both boys. "You wanna know?" They both nodded. "Fine. It wasn't that I didn't work well with Obito. It was his... team mate. Kakashi Hatake."

"Kakashi Hatake." Shisui repeated. "I've heard of him, graduated top of his class at the age of 7."

"Yes, well. I had a weak moment and he just so happened... to have pushed me there. After that I couldn't concentrate and I didn't finish the mission as it was planned." I swallowed my nervousness.

"All because of... this Kakashi guy?" Itachi seemed as surprised as Shisui. I bit my lower lip and nodded, keeping my eyes on my hands.

"Izumi Uchiha don't tell me you like the guy?!" Shisui burst out, staring me down with wide eyes.

"No!" I glared at my brother, hearing Itachi laugh. "Itachi!" I looked at my cousin for help. "Ugh! You two are impossible!" I turned so I wasn't facing

"Come on, Izu!" Shisui whined. "We didn't mean it!" I looked over my shoulder at them before going to Itachi's side.

"I don't like you, Shisui." I glared at my brother, as Itachi draped an arm around my shoulders.

"That's mean, Izu." He suddenly turned serious. "But you know, Izu, you can't let him affect your fighting or the way you work."

"I know." I leaned into Itachi. "I just had a moment of weakness and it was stupid. I'm here now. I'm going to forget about him and move on with my life!" I announced.

"That's a good idea." Itachi agreed. Nodding, I let myself doze off on Itachi, who didn't seem to care.

I can tell this conversation is far from over.

I don't own Naruto.
