<Rin's pov>

"Everything looks so dark nya..." I whispered, holding tight to Nozomi's hand while Umi searched around the hallways.

All this time, Nozomi has been awfully quiet. Her normal cheerful self is long gone ever since we step foot into this place. She doesn't seem that responsive and looks like she had fallen deep into regrets. She might've thought that she's the reason that we're stuck in this mess.... However, I'm trying my best not to let her think that way. There has got to be another reason why we're here.

"Rin, Nozomi, I'll be going in alone. Something tells me that this room can't hold much weight." Umi snapped me out of my thoughts.

I peeked into what used to be the broadcasting room. Sure enough, there's a lot of loose floorboards, trying their best to hold up the weight of the cabinets. Everything seems to have aged and became fragile. A number of bite marks can be seen on some of the planks. The lights are flickering, painting the room with a millisecond of mixed brown and red before coating it all back to black. This room has nothing but danger written all over it.

"Umi-chan, are you going to be okay going in there?" I asked, concerned about her safety.

"I'll be careful." Umi replied with a serious look etched onto her face.

"Are you sure..? I can't even see the walls in this room."

"We don't have time for questions!" She snapped before taking a deep breath. "Just wait out here and don't go anywhere." She then uses the flashlight from her phone to brighten up the path that she would take.

"If you say so... We'll wait for you out here." I complied.

She turned her back towards us and carefully tiptoed into the room, avoiding every loose floorboards. While waiting, I figured that it's best that I use the time to ensure Nozomi that everything will be fine. I can't bear seeing Nozomi being the opposite of her usual composed nature. I lead Nozomi to a flight of stairs and allowed her to sit on the steps. I sat next to her and confronted her.

"Don't worry, Nozomi-chan. I'm sure we'll get out of here." I allowed my optimistic side to cheer her up. "We'll leave this rotten place and pretend that nothing happened."

"How can you be sure?" Nozomi inquired.

"I'm sure we will. After all, we had went through a lot of stuff together and overcome it. We're basically made up of miracles!" I have absolutely no idea what I'm saying anymore.

She slowly rested her head onto my shoulder, letting out a long sigh. She chuckled dryly before commenting, "I'm surprised that after all this, you're still the optimistic Rin-chan I know."

'What does that supposed to mean?' I thought to myself. Even if I may seem positively spirited to her, I am scared of what will happen to us. I'm not sure what we'll have to do to leave this place. What if there's no way out? I scanned our surroundings when I found a piece of paper sticking out from between the floorboards. 'This might be it..'

Gently elbowing her, I pointed at the piece of paper. Nozomi nodded, got up from the steps and walked towards the paper to pick it up.

"Ah, Rin-chan, check this out." Nozomi whispered after scanning its contents.

I got up from the steps and peeked over her shoulders to see what's written on the piece of paper.

'Not enough..... I need more....'

I looked in confusion at Nozomi who in return just shrugged. What isn't enough for the person writing this? Who wrote this? Why do they need more of it?

"Nozomi? Rin?" Umi appeared behind us, making us jolt on the spot. "What did you find there?" Umi looked pointedly at the paper.

"Don't know.." Nozomi passed the paper to Umi who instantly reads it.

She reread what was written on the paper countless of times, deciphering what those words means.

"Uhh... Did you find anything in that room, Umi?" I questioned.

"Oh right. Even though there's not much in there, I did found this." Umi pulled out a grotesque looking doll. One of its eyes are burn to a crisp while the other had been gauged out and left dangling by a string or two. Its stomach has a gaping hole in it, with a handful of its stuffing sticking out. One of its hand was torn off from the shoulders and the other was replaced with a small rotting hand. Both its legs are twisted in an abnormal manner and its hair is messy and as long as its whole body, maybe longer. The most terrifying feature in its grinning mouth that has a bunch of spider-legs-like structure sprawled out of it.

'What world have we landed ourselves into?'
