Depression was the expression written on Karma's face after seeing that incident several hours ago, he's back at his home now and on his bed.

It was already 12:00 am in the morning, he can't fall asleep, he just stared up at the ceiling as random memories of him and her flashed in his head.

His phone rung as he looked at his screen and saw his caller, it was none other than his girlfriend. At first he was hesitant but answered it anyways.

He placed the phone near his ear as he sighed before answering her call.

"Hello?"

"Karma! I'm sorry for not coming in our date, I just went home and my phone died on me...I'll make it up to you somehow—"

"You don't have to."

Angel was surprised that he rejected her offer, so she continued pursuing him to come with her.

"But, I thought that you wanted to spend your day with—"

"Like I said, you don't have to...because I'm already breaking up with you."

"What do you mean? Ka—"

It came to mind in the early morning yesterday

Two days has passed since then as Karma took a peek on his screen, (23) text messages and (21) missed calls from Angel. He didn't replied to any of her messages or calls as he kept scrolling down, reading her texts.

As if I gathered broken pieces of glass

He stumbled down and his elbow bumped on the glass of water, it fell on the cemented floor as it shattered.

"Damn it." Karma cussed as he dropped his phone on the bed and squatted down on the floor while gathering the broken pieces of the shattered glass.

What the heck is this? Drips from my cut finger

Drops of crimson blood stained the floor from the wounded finger, the cut wasn't that deep though. Suddenly, a memory appeared on his mind.

Flashback

"Hey Karma, wait for me!"

The red haired boy turned around to the black haired girl who called him by his given name.

"Hurry up, slowpoke." he smirked as Angel pouted from his rude attitude.

"Can't you be nice to the girl that you love?" she said.

"Oh, shut up." he rolled his eyes as he grabbed her hand and dragged her with him.

Karma sighed from the sudden memory that popped on his head, then he shrugged the thought while continued picking the broken glass.

Afterwards, he slumped down on his bed when he completed his task. He continued scrolling down on the texts that she sent as he stopped on one.

I want to talk to you, at 5 pm, meet me at the Kunugigaoka Park, please tell me why you're acing like this.

He chuckled at the foolish text, tell him why he's like that? Shouldn't she know the cause of it already?

His eyes were still on the screen, when he got tired of reading her text messages, he pushed the key button of his phone. His eyes met with the picture of his home screen.

The picture was Karma and Angel smiling at the camera, it was taken from their first date. The girl's image was an close-eyed smile and a peace sign, while the boy's image was sticking out his tongue while looking at the camera.

The hardest choice would be the best

He stared at the picture blankly as his eyes were half-lidded. That picture was filled with happiness just by being together with each other.

"Why...are you doing this...to me?" he mumbled.

My self-love refuses it and repeats self contradiction

He sighed as he looked at the clock hanging on the wall, and sighed. It hurts...his heart was aching. What did he do to deserve something like this.

Angel sat on her cold bed all alone while staring down on the screen of her red colored cased phone.

She kept re-reading the text message that Karma sent 2 days ago, again and again. She still couldn't believe it.

Teardrops spilled on the screen as the call they made 2 days ago painfully reminded him that his love faded.

Tears fell on the white sheets of the bed as she breakdown, she was alone all this time until she met Karma.

She thought that she was worthless because her parents died, but wouldn't she be more worthless when her boyfriend broke up with her?

Suddenly, she came to realize why did he broke up with him a little bit.

But, she was really depressed and saddened about the break up that didn't happened in personal, but she wanted to explain herself to him first.

She stood up from her cold bed as she began to choose a pair of clothes in her closet, also looking for her shoes.

She stopped in tracks as she stumbled on the dress that Karma bought her, suddenly, tears fell from her eyes as she brought close the clothing to her face and cried.

Angel stood their at the Park where they were supposed to meet, she wore the dress that she found earlier. The park was filled with strangers passing by as she kept standing alone.

An hour passed since she stood on her spot, well there were times she's seating down on a bench and going to a comfort room, but she always returns.

"He's late..." she murmured.

Yesterday, a tranquil night made me realise

Unknown to her, Karma was hiding in the bushes for an hour, just waiting for her to leave.

He decided to make her have high hopes for him to come and shattered when he didn't. Just like she did on his very birthday.

We all know that Karma loves revenge, so he's doing it now.

Thanks to his decision, she was being surrounded by thugs right now.

Before Angel could stage a protest, someone suddenly appeared in front of her and grabbed her hand. She saw a glimpse of red hair as her eyes widened to see who it was.

"She's my girlfriend, don't lay a finger on her now...misters." Karma said with his sickly, sweet voice, but you could sense the threat behind his words. It was intimidating, immediately, those guys understood this and backed away.

"Y-Yeah...with that flat chest? No way in hell!"

Angel was slightly ticked off by the last remark, oh how she wanted to beat these three right now. Then, Karma smiled at them, kindly.

"Is that so? Then we'll be going." he told them.

Afterwards, Karma pulled her with him as he started to drag her away from the three thugs hitting on her.

"Y-You're hurting me, Karma!" Angel said as he didn't replied; hence, he kept dragging her, not until...

"Let me go!" she shouted.

Immediately, he dropped her hand as they reached the most prettiest point view of the park; the garden.

"You're late! You made me wait for an hour already. Where have you been?!" Angel exclaimed while tugging on his shirt, then he let out a small laugh as it made her lost and confused.

"How does it feel to wait for an hour for someone who you thought will come for you? Frustrating, isn't it?" he asked as he faked a smile.

Mercury colored eyes stared down on crimson colured eyes, it was filled with agony and sadness.

"You made me feel so unwanted." he said.

Bringing up old issues

Immediately, her grip on his shirt loosened as her hands dropped next to her thighs, she really regretted for ditching him on his very birthday.

"I'm really sorry...Karma..." she apologized while looking on the ground, Karma just kept in silence and let out a depressing sigh.

"It's fine...I'm alright..." he stated while patting her head while lifelessly looking at her, Angel's crimson eyes glimmered while looking at his golden eyes.

"Then...why are you telling me that we should...break up?" she asked.

We hurt each other as badly as possible

His hand dropped from her head as he chuckled in the foolish question that she asked, it made her confused, pondering if she said something funny.

'She's seriously asking that?' he thought.

"I also wondered why I decided to break up with you, my little Angel."

With this continuos dull relationship

Moments of silence passed since then, the sky turned dark as stars started to show up now and then.

"Oh, I just remembered the reason why I want to break up with you~!"

Angel looked up to him as he gave her a weak smile, her heart began to thump loudly in her chest, nervous in what was the reason behind this break up.

"I just saw my girlfriend kissing my best friend that night, but it's the perfect reason to break up, isn't it?"

Her eyes widened as it slowly softened, then a lone tear rolled down her cheeks, still couldn't believe it. "You saw us...?"

He didn't answer and kept his head lowered down, silently.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry Karma, I'm really so sorry!" she kept repeating those words of apology, it pains him to see her like this, apologizing to him in this way.

"Like I said; it's fine. You don't have to apologize anymore...we're already finished, Angel-chan." Karma said as tears began to roll down her cheeks, he at least wanted to face an break up without seeing her cry. But, it can't be helped.

"He need me that night!" she yelled as it made him smirk from her sudden argument.

"And you think that I didn't need you that night, is that it?" he asked her.

"He need me more than you do!" she yelled.

"Exactly." he said.

"Huh?" she asked, confused.

"You said it yourself, he needed you more, and I don't need you anymore." he harshly says, brushing her off.

Despite my determination,

"W-Wait! Let me explain—"

"You don't need to explain because I'm breaking up with you." Karma stated coldly making her eyes widened, even though he's pissed and angry, he couldn't shot a glare to her.

The pain is still penetrating

Karma started to lift his feet and started to walk away, but before he did, Angel grabbed his hand. Making him stopped in his tracks.

He turned to look down at her who's eyes were pleading not to go, the pain kept increasing in his chest.

The bond between us has come apart

"The one that I'm in love with is you, Karma! I'm not in love with Nagisa!" she said.

And is dying away in everday

"Go and tell that to the person who needs you, because I don't need you here anymore." he told her, walking pass her.

Goodbye, my sweetheart, it's over

"Let's just be friends, Angel-chan." was his final line before walking away, leaving her all by herself.

We have to leave without turning back

Tears fell on the ground from her eyes as she watched him slowly fading from her eye vision, he finally walked away without looking back.

She felt very depressed and pained, then a drop of rain fell from the clouded, dark sky as it continued raining down like cats and dogs.

"Just be friends is like never talk again...idiot." she muttered.

Karma walked through the pavements with his hands in his pockets, the rain was falling down really hard that he's soaked, but he could less care about damped clothes right now.

The rain perfectly became his accompany in his sadness, what a fitting scene after a sad break up.

He's walking through the city with lifeless eyes while passing by the strangers with various umbrellas, tears dripped down from his cheeks as it fell down on the ground as he walks.

"Is this the best thing?" he began doubting himself.

I'd be born again and again, and go see you on those days

Fun memories of him and Angel filled his head during those times when they're still dating, bringing up old issues made him more pained.

"Even if it's finally over...I still love you, I still really do." he cried.

I screamed with my horsed voice

Angel started screaming all the pain she bottled up this past few days at the sky as tears fell from her eyes, she kept screaming, regretting what happened that night.

The scream echoed in the endless sky, good thing she's the only one who's being soaked by the rain outside. Memories flow in her head as she continued crying like a lost child.

She really loved the boy, she really did. But, he didn't paid attention to her as he let his misunderstanding gets the best of him. He didn't even bothered to hear the whole truth and story.

The rain never fails to remind us that their can't be always a sun, your heart may sometimes be clouded but they say that rains don't last forever.

Soon, it stopped raining as the skies we're still dark, Angel too, has finally ceased in her grief and forced a smile.

"If being friends is the only thing you can offer me, I can still accept it." she whispered.

Karma sat down alone the swing as the rain has finally ceased, he's head still down low while he's cheeks were wet from drizzled tears.

"What are you doing, Karma-kun?" a voice asked.

We have to leave without turning back

He looked up and saw a girl tied in twin braids with an umbrella, she rearranged her glasses that's seating on top of the bridge of her nose.

"Oh, it's you, Okuda-san..." he stated.

It's all over

Karma once again looked on the puddles beneath his shoes, his eyes were puffed red from crying while walking in the rain.

"I broke up with Angel-chan..." he simply said.

Her eyes widened from what he just said, she wouldn't hide it, but she was happy however was also sad in the same time.

"I told her that we should be just friends...I thought it was the best for the both of us, but you know what?" he looked up with a forced smile as a lone tear slide down his cheek.

"I still love her..."

Silence filled the air as Okuda finally knew that he couldn't win his heart anymore, it was so depressing that she doesn't have a chance.
