Chapter 19

Elizabeth's POV

A few days later...

 I'm currently in the lab by myself doing some experiments while Bruce is off meeting with Tony about something private but important at the way Tony yanked him out of here so suddenly. He should be back in a little while though so it's all good. I'm about to go check on a set of test tubes when I hear a weird sound coming from outside the lab. My curious side gets the best of me and I end up leaving the lab to find out what exactly the sound is. My eyes bug out of my head and a hand goes over my mouth when I notice Venom at the end of the hallway.

   My heart begins to race and I try my best to stay hidden from his line of view. I quietly text Tony and Bruce for help and possibly backup in addition to them. I creep back into the lab quietly, lock the door, and hide in one of the storage closets that's chemical free. 

A few minutes later... I hear a lot of commotion going on. I peek through the peep hole and see flashes of green, smiling to myself because Bruce is here to protect me. I don't see Tony but Bruce can definitely take on Venom alone for the time being. I stay in the closet for another half an hour before the noise dies down and I get a text from Tony saying that Venom has been rid of once and for all, therefore it's safe to come out of hiding. I fumble out of the closet and rush to unlock the door where Bruce, Tony, and Nat are standing of. I smile nervously at all of them before giving them all hugs. "You guys are incredible. Don't worry, I stayed in the closet the entire time, one that's chemical free I might add." 

     Bruce chuckles and picks me up, lifting me up in the air. "I'm glad you're safe. You're a smart girl Liz. Not everyone would have taken the precautions to stay safe like you do. By the way, Hulk told me to tell you "He loves his Liz." Bruce gently puts me back down on the ground and I smile while blushing. "Awwww Bruce, that's so cute." Bruce laughs nervously while blushing. Tony and Nat grin and playfully nudge him. Nat smirks at him. "Yeah Bruce, your girl's right. That's soooo cute." I roll my eyes playfully and smile before hugging Bruce. I never seem to get enough of him. 

    For the rest of the day, we all simply relax because the events of the day have wore us all out. Bruce and I have a movie marathon in his room binge eating popcorn in the process. It's like heaven for us. When night falls upon us, we all gather for dinner together before calling it a night. We rehash today's events with mixed feelings and different variations (Tony tends to exaggerate a lot). Some of us... Bruce and I especially happen to get really drunk, which we'll probably regret in the morning since we have a day full of meetings to attend. Oh well, yolo right?
