Anna stood awkwardly, as Norma King marched away from her. She wanted to leave, but did not know where Seokjin was.

"Hello, beautiful. Would you care for a drink?" A handsome man with a rakish mustache was staring at her lasciviously.

Anna recognized him as a well-known actor, but could not find her tongue.

He put his arm around her. "You must be a newbie, huh? Why don't I show you around?"

"Clark!" Another man walked up to them. He was young and tall, and he very deftly maneuvered the actor's arm away from Anna. "Your fiancee is looking for you."

The older man glared at the taller man before he gave Anna an overly sweet smile.

"I'm afraid I will take my leave, beautiful. I hope I will see you again soon."

Anna exhaled after the man left. "Uh, thank you."

The tall man's eyes looked her up and down.

"I think," she muttered, wondering if she was in more trouble with this very forward man. "Excuse me. My eyes are up here."

The man laughed, making prominent dimples appear. He was quite handsome.

"I'm sorry. I promise I was not checking you out." He paused for a beat. "I mean, I was sort of, but--" He stopped when he saw Anna's eyebrow go up.

"At least you're an honest creep," she quipped.

He laughed again. "I'm not a creep. At least I hope you don't still think so after I tell you that I'm a scout."

"Boy scout?" she drawled.

"Ha, ha. No. A talent scout. My name is Kim Namjoon," he said, holding out his hand. "I'm a partner in a modeling agency. I don't think I've seen you before. Who represents you?"

Anna was taken aback. "Uh, nobody. I'm...I'm not a model or anything, and I hope that was not your pickup line."

"Of course not," he replied. He reached into his jacket pocket and held a card out to her. "I really do run a modeling agency, and I have to say that I think you'd be perfect for our agency. Please consider it and give me a call. I can't believe no one's snapped you up. I saw you on the arm of that hot new actor. I was sure you were a model or an actress."

"Hey! Anna!" Seokjin stood in front of them. He stared pointedly at the man. "I'm sorry. She's my date tonight."

"Oh, is she?" the man remarked. "Well, I wouldn't leave her alone too long, if I were you. By the way, congratulations." He nodded at Seokjin and ambled away after one last look at Anna.

"Why are the sharks always circling you?" he asked with a chuckle.

"Must be the blood that Norma King drew," Anna replied, tucking the card into her purse.

"What?"

Anna sighed. "She spoke to me just a few minutes ago."

"Oh."

"Oh? Do you want to know what about?" she asked him.

Seokjin looked at her, and she was glad he looked at least a bit embarrassed.

"Don't do it," she said. He opened his mouth to reply, but she cut him off. "Don't go back to her. You don't need to do that. She's still the same. And she's still married. Why would you risk a scandal by having an affair with a married woman? Another scandal with the same married woman. You were lucky before. It's sure to come out this time, now that everyone knows your name. Think about your career."

"She's getting a divorce," he said quickly.

"The same divorce she's supposedly been getting since we were in high school," Anna snapped. "Why do you believe her?"

"I just do," he said. "Why does any of this matter to you?"

"Because..." she let her voice trail off.

He moved closer to her and looked down at her face. His dark eyes seemed both angry and hopeful. "Because?" He gripped her upper arm with his large hand.

Anna's eyes moved from his eyes to his plump lips. Oh, God! She should just say it. Plot twist: I love you, Jin. She felt him lean closer to her as if he were about to kiss her. She closed her eyes in anticipation but then remembered that he had decided to return to Norma King. She opened her eyes and pushed him away.
