Wanting to come to SHS when I finish with my BECE, I waited patiently for my results. It was twilight and as I lay on my bed, texting friends and doing all sorts of things with my phone, mum screamed my name from the hall. It was obviously urgent due to how tensed I  sensed her voice was. Quickly, I placed my cell on the bed rushed to attend to mum.

"Kindly take the remote control for me," she said and I had a very angry and an unattractive look which thankfully, she never got to see. Anyways, after all these thoughts, I took the remote and gave it to her quickly.

I went to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of water and took it to my bedroom. As soon as I opened the door, I realised that my phone was ringing. As I did not want to miss the call, I picked it up hurriedly, so angry with who the caller was.

"Hey," he said.

"Speak up Sean, I'm busy." I said.

"Listen, I know you are angry with me for telling you about my feelings but...."

"If this is why you called then I guess we should leave it for another time, Sean."

"I just..."

" Sean goodbye," I said almost drained with sweat again.

Sean was a cool guy, smart dark with a pointed nose and light pink lips and naturally shape eyebrows.
His eyelashes were long and my heart always skipped a beat when he flipped them up to look at me.

But the question was, why was I running away from my feelings? Why couldn't I just admit that I liked him at least so that he doesn't stay away from me eventually even if I continued to push him away.

All this was because of her. It was because of my dearest Mum. I was scared to tell her this since she concludes sharply without giving me a little chance to explain stuff. After eating supper, I decided to watch a little news. Suddenly, mum turned off the TV and asked me to come over from the dining table.

When i came over, she asked me to sit on her lap. "What's bothering you hun?" she asked surprisingly.

"Nothing mum," I said and she looked at me weirdly.

"Speak up child, what is eating you up?"

" Mum I it's nothing," I said.

" I rushed quickly to my room only to take my beeping phone, go to Sean's status and see him picking Lily neck with both of them giggling.

I screamed on top of my voice and Mum rushed in.

"What's happening?" she asked.

"Nothing Mum," I smiled happily.

" I just needed to let out some stress," I concluded.

Before she left, she told me to hurry up and get to bed.
She then took my phone but luckily for me it had a password no one could guess.

I lay on my bed thinking of what to do next.

"Did Sean need to know about my feelings for him?"I thought and questioned myself.

I guess so. This was because I couldn't know how to let go of him.
