Main characters

Nurib- the main character and the only alien of the team, he is rather blunt but important member of the team. Like any Aureum, he's rather tight lipped on topics regarding on the knowledge of his people (example: the making of carbon titanium alloy space suits is restricted from outsiders). He's not afraid of backing down on fights, especially arguments.

John- the leader of the team, he has been assigned with Nurib to go to Kepler 5b to investigate the mysterious signal coming from that planet. He likes to crack jokes from time to time, but he can be serious when there's trouble. He's human along with Christine, and Valerie.

Valerie- the medic/navigator of the team, she is knowledgeable on medicine and treatments. She's also good at pinpointing locations for the ship to navigate for its on coarse destination, even though there are some planets that she does not know. She can be blunt, but reasonable.

Christine- the technician/ scientist of the team, she's good at analyzing chemical composition among other stuff. She's got a crush on Nurib, in which the alien reciprocate. She's good at repairing broken machines (sometimes the ship), but she can't repair any alien tech since she doesn't know.

Other characters

Aureum scientists- eight Aureum who were frozen when some of their hypersleep pods were damaged towards the point that it leaks liquid nitrogen, they were also scientists who work for the facility on making bio weapons. It's unclear why they were put into hypersleep before the unfortunate event happened, but some of their genetic experiments went wrong.

The creature- one of the escaped genetic experiments that attacked Nurib, and it's capable of sucking blood from its victims. It prefers to hide in the darkness so it's prey doesn't see it, before ambushing. It's basically part bat, part wolf, and part unknown alien life form. It can shoot a glob of slime that immobilized it's prey, before going for the kill. Nurib was lucky enough to kill it, but let's hope that it's the only one of its kind so far.
