"You do know that souls contain the magic of the individual monster already, and all that bullshit, so I'll cut right to the point.
When a soul shatters, it releases roughly 5 percent of the magic the monster holds, in the form of RSM or Raw Soul Magic. We used to go around just killing monsters in order to get these 5 percent of each soul, though it was a slow process and hardly any mouths could be fed.
One Day though, a posisonus demon by the name "Tick" wounded a monster without actually killing it, letting the poison slowly drain it of It's HP. However, as it Turns out, Tick gathered much more magic than expected, 25 percent in total, in fact. We tested this on other monsters, along with humans, and have over time developed methods to drain a monster 100 percent of their magic. And the same Goes for human determination.
