The bell rang and relieved Miho walked outside. Her next lesson was English.

"Keiko-san," a girl with dark brown hair exclaimed. "I'm Akane! What do you have next?"

"English," Miho replied.

Akane beamed. "Me too," she said as she led Miho to the English block.

Miho sat in a seat beside Akane. The teacher arrived. As the lesson progressed, Miho hoped that they would not have to do any partner work especially since she did not know anybody. Just as she was wishing this, the teacher announced, "I'm going to put you into partners, Honoka and Koto together, Fuchiko together and Akane together , Keiko and Ushijima together..."

Miho froze and glanced at the tall boy that sat next to her. He turned to her and Miho offered him a smile. The boy just looked at her as if she was a weirdo.
