IRL me, don't judge Becca for "making you an idiot."  (Which was not the intention)

She DID warn you a while ago in her rant book that the next person's chapters would be bad because she hadn't written this story in a while!

>:/

Anyway...back to ze story!

I could see sunlight starting to shine through the window.

Wait...couldn't I...?

With a slight shiver, I straightened up and placed the phone on the bed, checking out the window.

I moved the blinds up and looked for a hatch to open the window.

I found a latch and grabbed it before leaping back with a yelp.

It shocked me!

"Tsk.  You guys are predictable.  Cassia tried the window, too, on her first day."  Becca's voice said.  I could hear the smirk in her voice.

I let the blinds back down and grabbed the phone, standing at the door that leads to the rest of the house.

I check the phone's time and battery.

6:07 AM and 18% battery left.

I needed to get to that charger.

According to that person, it should be...relatively safe to go out.

Could I trust that person?  Last night, I had been in a slight panic and wasn't thinking as rationally as I probably should've been.

It was a female who...knew the Wise family.  If she knows them, then why can't she come and stop them or something?  Or at least tell me how to escape!

I sighed.  However, I shouldn't bite the hand that feeds me, or, uh, judge the voice that probably saved my life.

Yeah, she might be working with them or something, but...what else did I have to go on?  Right now, she's probably the reason I'm still alive, so I should give her a chance.  Tonight, I'll be more rational and try to question her a little deeper.

If, ah, the Wise's don't kill me/make me part of their family....

Should I choose a different room tonight?  This room is definitely...a bit...cheaty in a gaming sense as I can just prop myself up against the door the whole night.  The other way into the room is completely blocked off.

Well, I have a little less than 18 hours to think it over, so I'll think on it more after I look around.

I braced myself and opened the door.

...Nothing happened.

Nothing attacked me or...other things.

I heard sounds coming from Caleb's room, but I didn't dare check in case that person was wrong about me being safeish.

I tightened my grip slightly and walked out of the room, taking in my surroundings.

This seemed to be the living room in Cam 3.  However...I noticed a door behind to the left of the TV.

That wasn't in the cameras....

I shook my head.  I needed to get the phone plugged in first.

I turned and walked through the kitchen and into the dining room of Cam 9.

But...I didn't see Becca.

Where was she?

I bit my lip and reached over the chair that Becca would've been sitting in, grabbing the charger plugged into the computer.  I plugged the phone up, and the screen lit up, showing a battery with a lightning bolt on it.

I sighed, placing the phone on the computer and turning back around to search the house.

"Eyyyy, spark!"  Becca exclaimed in my face.

I yelped and stepped back, causing me to fall over the chair.

Becca grabbed my arm and pulled me back up.  "Watch yourself now!  Can't have you being injured before the game starts again!"

I rolled my eyes, pushing past Becca without a word.

Becca grabbed my shoulder...lightly?  "Come now, spark!  This is the first time we've met in real life!  You should be happy!"

I pulled my shoulder away, glaring at her.  "Yeah, I SHOULD be happy.  Or excited.  Whatever.  However, you kidnapped us!  How would you like if your favorite celebrity kidnapped you and then asked you to be happy because you finally got to meet them in person?!"

Becca cocked her head a little, grinning a grin that made me shiver ever so slightly.  "Are you saying I'm a celebrity to you?"

I turned away.  "I'm done talking to you.  As you are now, I would gain nothing but annoyance from you."

Becca giggled really creepily.  "Suit yourself, O logical one."

I clenched my fists.

I sighed again and looked around.

I think I saw the living room of that glitched Cam 5...and the front door!

I looked back to see Becca sitting at the computer again, but she was watching me with a smirk.

She found this amusing.

I turned and walked to the front door, examining it.

The locks were turned so that the door was locked.

I hesitated for a moment before carefully touching the upper lock with my finger.

I yelped and jumped back.  It, too, had shocked me.

Becca laughed.  "Honestly, you should've expected that."

"Shut up."

"Ooo, is little sparky getting angry?"

I looked to her to see her sitting back in her chair, her arms crossed, that sly smirk still on her face.

I growled lightly under my breath, stalking past her and back into the other living room.

There has to be something here that is useful...physical or knowledge....

I saw that door again and decided to try to open it.

I touched the knob lightly, and it didn't shock me.  However, when I turned it, it stopped suddenly.

The door was locked.

I crossed my arms, thinking.

Then, I had an idea.

What if there was another way into this room that wasn't from the outside?

I went to the door to Caleb's room and opened it with slight hesitation.

Caleb was on his knees in front of a table covered in Minecraft stuff.

He turned to look at me, his ocean blue eyes brightening.  "spahk!"

He jumped up and came over to me, studying me.  "Are you going to join my family, too?"

I winced.  "Uhm...n-no, I...don't really want to...."

He crossed his arms and pouted.  "Hmph, you're just like them...."

"Them?  Who's them?"

Caleb's eyes widened.  "Oops, I wasn't supposed to say that!  Don't worry about it!  Do you wanna play?"

He's trying to distract me.

But...he can't hurt me.

I shook my head and went to the other door in his room.  "Sorry, Caleb, but I'm exploring right now.  Maybe tomorrow?"

Caleb was silent.

I turned to look back at him, and...he was staring at me.  He then giggled.  "Sure!  But only if..."  His eyes turned that black-with-white-pupils again.  "...you survive~"

His eyes went back to normal and he turned away to play with his toys again.

That...holy....

I shook it off and opened the door, entering a smallish bathroom with another door to the right.

The doorknob had a lock on it, but it was on this side.

I turned the lock to unlock the door and slowly opened the door.

It was practically pitch black aside from some of the light from the bathroom lighting it.

I did see a light switch, so I flicked it.

Woly geez.

There were a TON of boxes in here, as well as a baby changing station.  I could barely walk through it.

I stepped carefully around the boxes, looking around.

I suddenly heard the smallest of noises coming from the far corner of the storage room, muffled by the boxes.

I maneuvered my way over there and started pushing the boxes out of the way.

The noises suddenly went silent, but I didn't stop.

After I pushed the boxes away, I looked at the ground.

There was a trapdoor.

I pulled it open and saw ladders going down.

I looked back around the storage room one more time before descending.

It didn't seem to go too far down, but as I neared the bottom, an angry voice called out.  "Go away, Becca!  We don't want to see or hear you right now!"

I knew that voice.

I quickly finished climbing down and looked to see....

"Cass? il?"
