I was frozen with shock.

Cass and il seemed pretty shocked, as well.

I noticed shackles that were connected to the wall behind them on their wrists, though their chains seemed fairly long, allowing decent movement.

"s-spark...?" il whispered timidly.

She sounded...weary and hurt, but not physically.

"You...You guys are...ok.... Oh my gosh...." I breathed out.

I ran over to them and they stood up, walking forward a bit.

I hugged both of them. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you."

"Same." il replied.

I looked to her. "Are you ok? You seem...tired in a sense. And how are you guys here? Why aren't you...evil like the Wise's?"

il looked away with a grimace and Cass watched her with a sadness in her eyes. "You may want to sit, spark. It's a bit of a story...."

I looked back at the ladder before sitting down. Cass and il sat as well, their chains clinking slightly, making me wince.

il and Cass told me their experiences in the Wise's house as the...victim.

il was the one who "died" night 1 and Cass "died" night 2.

Does that mean I'll die on night 3?

I hope not....

"So...now...I'll tell you what happened to us and why we're in this position and not all buddy-buddy with Becca up there...." il sighed.

She closed her eyes, shivering slightly. Cass placed a hand on il's shoulder.

il smiled and took a deep breath....

il's POV

...

Mmph....

What...wh...where am I...?

I felt...violated. GET YOUR MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER, NOT LIKE THAT. GEEZ.

I mean...I feel like who I am has been violated....

I started shivering uncontrollably.

I slowly opened my eyes, noticing tons of boxes around me.

I struggled up, looking around the small room.

It looked to be like some kind of storage room....

Where was I...?

Then...the memories flooded back.

The "game."

Caleb attacking me. ;-;

Being dragged somewhere and losing consciousness....

I saw two doors besides one leading outside.

I tried the outside door. I muffled a yelp as it shocked me harshly.

Ok, guess I won't be leaving....

I tried the door to the far end to find it locked. I tried the door that was kinda next to it.

It was locked, too, but I noticed the locking mechanism was on this side.

I unlocked the door and opened it quietly.

The door led to the living room in Cam 3. It was light out, meaning that it wasn't between the times of 12 and 6 am.

I heard little noises from Caleb's room, but right now, my desire to understand why I wasn't dead overrode seeing Caleb.

Besides...Caleb attacked me. He might do it again.

;-;

I walked quietly through the kitchen into the dining room of Cam 9.

Becca was at the computer. She turned to me with wide eyes and then grinned...happily.

It wasn't creepy or evil...it was genuinely...happy.

Like in the pictures she posts sometimes of herself when she smiles.

She turned in the chair and stood up, embracing me. "il! It's nice to see you awake finally! Have you been enjoying being part of the family?"

I was still a bit disoriented, so I asked, "W-What family?"

She laughed. Her laugh also wasn't creepy or evil. It was genuinely happy. "Haha, il~! OUR family! The Wise's! You're my sister now!"

I was confused. I looked around and then saw...a body on the ground.

My eyes widened and I ran to the body.

They were breathing, though...they looked...familiar.

They were facing the other direction, so I rolled them over....

I gasped. It was Cass! She was unconscious!

The phone I had used during my night laid next to her.

Becca came over and scoffed. "Yeah...Cassia was rude and wouldn't stay still whilst I was singing her a song I practically made up on the spot. So...I sent her to sleep! She should awaken around 11:50 tonight...."

"But...why would you do that?! Now she can't prepare...." I said sadly as I looked to Becca.

She looked confused. "Why do you want her to prepar----ooooohhhh...."

I stood up, looking at her, a little frightened. "Wh-What?"

"Do you want Cass to join our family?"

"N-No! I don't want to be part of it! I want to go back to Australia!"

Becca's eyes widened before she growled lightly. "Impossible...."

She grabbed me by the arm TIGHTLY. I yelped. "OW, HEY!"

She drug me to the other living room and threw me onto the couch.

I landed with an oomph.

"That's impossible. You should be loyal to me. You should have the same intentions as me, to play this game and have them all join us."

I stayed silent, watching her fearfully.

She paced really close to me.

Suddenly, Caleb's door opened and he walked out, looking mad and sad at the same time.

I heard footsteps behind me and Rachel and her dad came into the living room, all looking disappointed and angry.

"Do you see this, il? This is my family. They have the same intentions as me, to have new sisters. To have you guys join our family. Don't you want to be my sister?"

I looked at her with sadness. "That would be amazing, Becca, but I have a family at home already. Really, REALLY far away."

Becca glared at me. "About 9,060ish miles away. Or, in your terms, just a little under 14.6 thousand kilometers away. That aside, I don't understand why you aren't welcoming my intentions...."

"It could be that she cannot welcome your intentions because she isn't a biological member of the family." Her dad said as he watched me warily.

Becca looked to her dad then back at me. "So...you aren't cool with what I want to do?"

I sighed. "No, not really...."

Becca growled. "Fine. Be that way. However, I cannot allow you or any of the others, once they come to me, to help newcomers. During the day, you shall be locked away. During the night, you'll come back to fright."

"Uhh...nice rhyming?"

Becca groaned angrily. "It means, ilbarker Iguana, that you will be under my control between the hours of 12 and 6 am. In times outside of that, you are not going to be free."

"Do I get a say in this?" I asked, ignoring the fact that she called me by my reader-tronic name.

She grinned at me, but this time, it was evil. "What do you think, Aussie?"

I flinched. "Uhh...the court's making a decision?"

Becca laughed. It wasn't genuinely happy anymore. It was evil. "Well, the court's made their decision...."

She grabbed me by my shirt, lifting me off the couch with ease. I yelped, grabbing her hand, trying to make her let go.

"il, you, and everyone after you, are hereby sentenced to detainment until your services are called upon, by which you will perform your duties as a reader-tronic. Once your duty is fulfilled for that night, you will be re-detained until your services are required again."

I growled. "I object, Judge Becca."

"Too bad."

She snapped her fingers, and darkness filled my vision.

Back to spark's POV

"...and now I'm here. Strangely, on the first night the past two first nights, I didn't turn into ilbarker Iguana. Granted, on Cass' first night, I was knocked out for some reason or another, but this past night, only Cass changed into her...cougar form and left. Though...when she came back, still as a cougar, she shackled herself and then changed back into Cass again."

"Well, that Unknown person said she had a theory that, on the night you "died," you'd stay...inactive. So basically, if she is correct, Cass will stay here tonight and you'll roam as your reader-tronic form, il."

il looked confused, but Cass' eyes widened. "You talked to the Unknown person?! She saved me the first night!"

I frowned. "But...can I trust her?"

"Dude, she saved my butt, especially with all that info about the Wise's. Sure, she won't identify herself to us nor tell us why she knows Becca and her family so much, but she is severely helpful!"

"Who is she?" il asked.

Cass sighed. "I'll explain later once spark goes to prepare for tonight. And spark...go eat something. Rest. Play with Caleb a bit, I dunno. He seemed sane enough during the day...."

I shrugged. "He was adorable until I mentioned playing with him tomorrow, then he got REALLY creepy...."

il winced. "It makes me sad to see him under her control...."

Cass sighed again, leaning back against the wall. "Thing is, I know Becca, and that AIN'T Becca. That CAN'T be her. And...if it really REALLY is her, she's...being controlled or something...."

I pushed myself to my feet. "I'm sorry to leave you guys like this.... Becca won't prevail. Whether it be me, or Object, or Fox, or Kit, or Liz, one of us will beat her. One of us will save us all. One of us will save Becca."

Cass smiled lightly. "I believe in you."

il nodded in agreement.

I climbed back up the ladder, closed the trapdoor, and covered it with the boxes again.

I went out the door I had came in from and relocked it, going through Caleb's room again.

"You think you are gonna win just because you know your friends are alive? Soon, spahk, you'll be my sister. I can't wait to play with you until then. We're gonna have fun." Caleb grinned, his eyes filled with evil excitement.

I ignored him, leaving the room.

I check the time in the kitchen.

5:34 PM.

I had about 6ish hours to prepare.

I did as Cassia asked of me.

I ate a little food, though it was a bit hard since I knew Becca and her family were so close to me.

I rested on the couch in the living room near Becca's room, thinking.

I should choose a different room....

Hmm....

Well, that Unknown person said that Rachel is hardly ever in her room, preferring to wonder about the house.

Maybe I could hang in there for the night.

However...I'm sure I couldn't just barricade the door and hope for the best.

I knew Becca would break everything down to get to me, the "cheater."

I closed my eyes, letting my mind drift to other things.

I hadn't realized I'd dozed off until I opened my eyes again.

It was dark out.

I jumped off the couch and went to check the time in the kitchen.

11:47 PM.

It was almost time.

I went to the dining room to grab the phone, but, as expected, Becca was in her chair, tapping away at her keyboard at...a rather fast pace.

"So...you know." She said blatantly.

I crossed my arms. "Yeah, I do. Now, if you so kindly let me have the phone...."

She growled and roughly unplugged the phone, tossing it to me haphazardly. I barely caught it.

I glared at her, but I then froze in fear at the way she was staring at me.

"Well...since I'm a good sport...."

"GOOD LUCK."

I widened my eyes and ran into Rachel's room, slamming the door shut.

Her laughter continued for a moment before dying off, the silence returning.

I got a good look around the room, noting the clock on the dresser.

11:56 PM.

I looked back at the shut door, considering only for a second of barricading it.

However...I couldn't risk it.

If Becca considered me a cheater, I'd be done for....

Looks like I'll have to use my wits if I want to survive this night.

I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths and recollecting myself.

A few minutes later, the clock on the dresser beeped loudly a couple times.

My eyes shot open to see that it was 12:00 AM.

Becca's horrifying laughter echoed throughout the house.

"AHAHAHAHA!!! TIME TO PLAY~!! "
