You were in a state of panic as you saw the titans chasing you. You followed Reiner's instructions and tried to focus on him. Your heartbeat raced as the ground shook more and more. "Reiner!" You yelled as your tears stained your face.

"_______, calm down!" His horse ran ahead of yours. "They won't catch us. I promise!"

You wiped your tears as you followed his tracks. It had been your first mission with the Scouting Legion. You were lucky enough to be in the same group as Reiner, although you didn't know if it was exactly the best decision. You wouldn't want to have him die in front of you, or even die in front of him. That would bring so much pain.

"_______! Stay close! We have an aberrant at 10 o'clock!" He shouted.

You gulped as you jerked your horse to follow his. The titan was running straight towards you guys. You needed to be quick about this or else you wouldn't make it. But you were late.

The titan stepped right behind you, at least a few yards away. The ground shook beneath you, your horse jumped and you were thrown off. You rolled against the grass, feeling pains in your body from the impact of colliding into the ground. In one direction, you saw the titans running for you, in the other was Reiner. It looked like he kept on going without you. He seemed to be fading away and growing smaller. You closed your eyes feeling the world swallow you in. There was nothing else you could do.

"_______!" His voice rang in your head. You didn't know if your mind was tricking you or if that really was Reiner. "_______!" There it rang again. Suddenly, you felt a strong gust of wind pass by.

Your eyes opened as you saw a giant hand reach down for you. A titan's hand. You shut your eyes again and sighed. "Bye, Reiner.." You laid there, in silence. Waiting to be picked up from the titan then heard a loud crash. You were confused as you raised your head. Rather than being under the shadow of a titan's hand, you were under an actual titan, one you had never seen before.

You turned your head and saw the aberrant on the ground. You looked again at the odd titan and watched as it ran towards the group of rushing titans. It must have saved you.

Then you remembered Reiner. You quickly got to your knees, forgetting your pains and walked towards where you had last seen him. You saw his horse and yours by some bushes. Reiner wasn't there. You frantically turned your head to find the blonde, hoping that he was taking cover somewhere or at least looking for you. But he was no where to be found.

You looked back to where you had fallen and saw only one titan standing. You gazed upon its body, how it looked as if it had protection rather than being naked like all the others. You were puzzled by that. Also, you just realized that it had taken out all the other titans around you.

Suddenly, it began walking towards you. Something about it made you feel safe. As scared as you were, you couldn't move. You told your body to move but you couldn't. It was just steps away from you before the story flashed in your mind: the story of the armored titan and Wall Maria.

Your body finally reacted and you tried to dash away but you felt the fingers squeeze you. You were lifted up off the ground and into the air. This time it was for real. That was it. You couldn't fight back anymore. As you relaxed your limbs you felt your body fall, it had released you. You landed on a hard surface.

You looked up and now you were face to face with the giant. You were shaking as you tried to get off. You backed away but its fingers kept you from escaping.

"What do you want!?" you screamed out. "Aren't you going to eat me already!?" the tears burned down your cheeks. "Hurry up!" you pounded your fists against its palm. "Just get it over with! Just eat me.."

You sobbed in the palm of the titan's hand and curled up. You wished Reiner was there to save you. You wished he was there to comfort you. You wished he hadn't disappeared or possibly been taken out by a titan. Wherever he was, you just wished for him. You cried and cried there. You were alone.

You rested your head on your knees waiting to be swallowed by the titan. You just waited, it was all you could do. You didn't feel like fighting anymore. As you sat there, you felt something patting your head. You looked up and saw the titan's finger. It was rubbing your hair. Your tears stopped as you looked at the face of the titan. Soon, the titan rubbed your back. It patted you lightly as if it were comforting you. You blinked your eyes before seeing an odd resemblance. "Reiner.." you whispered.

You instantly stood up and screamed, "Reiner!" your heart pounded against your rib cage. You didn't care how crazy you sounded, but you had a feeling that maybe Reiner was still with you. You saw how the hair of the giant was just like Reiner's. His face was shaped like Reiner's. His nose identical to Reiner's. The titan brought you closer to its face and you walked towards it. "Reiner.. is this.. you..?" you ran your fingers down a cheek.

The titan suddenly kneeled down on one knee and brought its hand to the grass. It pushed you off and its head lowered. You got off and backed away from it, waiting to see what would happen. You watched as the head hung and steam had begun rising from the nape of its neck. You quickly ran around it and climbed up its back to see what was there.

You creeped up the shoulder and saw an opening. There was Reiner. You dove in for him, cutting away the flesh that had been sticking onto him, he was barely awake, fighting to get out of the titan. "Reiner! Hey!" You tried to pull him out. "Reiner!"

"Ughh..." he groaned.

"Reiner.." you were relieved.

"_______..." he held his head. He finally pried himself out and was barely able to stand. The two of you slid from the titan body and went back to the grass. You guys rested in the shadow of the titan.

"Reiner.. What happened..?" you asked as you reached for his hands.

"_______.." he looked down.

"What are you doing in a titan's body?" You couldn't help it. You knew that asking him abruptly would be any good but you couldn't stop yourself from asking.

"_______, I'm sorry.. I had to keep it a secret from you.." you looked you in the eye. "I'm not normal.."

"Reiner.."

"I'm sorry, I'm just not normal.." he shook his hand away from yours.

"Don't say that.." you tried to reach for him but he bitterly turned. You didn't know what to do.

"I'm sorry.." he softly spoke.

"Reiner!" you had enough. "Stop it will you!?" You hugged him around his neck. "You are normal! You are. You're Reiner! Don't say you're not normal!"

"But I'm not.." he turned to face you. "Don't you see..?"

"All I see is you, Reiner.." you placed a hand on his cheek. "You're you."

"_______.." He wrapped his arms around you and rested against your shoulder. You did have to admit that Reiner wasn't normal. That he was different. You bit down against your own teeth as you thought of all the people lost at the fall of Wall Maria in the Shiganshina District. You thought of your comrades, Eren, Mikasa and Armin. And you thought of Reiner.

"Reiner.." you whispered in his ear. "I'm glad you're alright.."

"No I'm glad you are.." He pulled back.

"It's because you saved me."

"Of course I saved you, _______." he inhaled a deep breath. "I love you."

You stared at him for a while. You were caught off guard and didn't know how to respond. "I... I love you too.." you held onto his hand.

"_______, I know what you saw was crazy and you're probably thinking about a lot right now.." he stroked the side of your face. "There's a lot that I should explain but I don't want you to worry about that. I'm just glad your alive and with me."

"There is Reiner.. I have so many questions.. but for now, it doesn't matter.. I'm just glad you're okay." You hugged him tight, thankful that he was wasn't gone. That he was still there and that he wasn't taken away from you.

I actually want to write one for Bertl too now! Maybe it'll be better than this one.. btw sorry for typos and stuff it's late where I'm at
