"Trident Orangefish here reported seeing a suspicious cat lounging around while he was on watch" Mayor Crystalstar lifted up Snowminnow's head making there eyes meet.

"It was me!" Blueminnow pushed through the crowd of minnows watching " I was uhhh messing around."

And Snowminnow and Goldenminnow" Snowminnow glanced at Goldenminnow who was banging his head on his small blackboard. "Your going to travel around with your partner and find different crystals you will then have to name the crystals and bring it to me. There are three main types of crystals around our territory you can bring back crystals from the same type but you must have 3 different types the more crystals you have the better your grade! We'll begin after roam free hall I mean study hall"

"Meet me near the anglerfish den" Goldenminnow held Snowminnow's arm firmly whispering into her ear.

Snowminnow approached the angler den cautiously. " Hello?" She called around her " I swear if this is a prank I'll-" A voice came from behind.

"It's not" Snowminnow swiveled around comming face to face with Goldenminnow there muzzles almost touching. "That's creepy."

"She-cats like mystery." Goldenminnow smirked causing Snowminnow to scoot back. In left paw he was swinging a kelp basket.

"Why am I here?!" Snowminnow crossed her arms angrily looking around. It was a sandy clearing with few plants growing out of cracks in the surface. It was eery silence and dark since they were at the very end of Stream Pod's territory. A huge cave stood behind them a picture of an angler fish scrawled at the rim of the caves opening.

"To get bitten by a angler fish." Goldenminnow sarcastically." There's a small cave in there full of different crystal." He pointed into the angler fish cave. Snowminnow shivered slightly. "Are you scared?"

"There just creepy" Snowminnow said peeking into the cave.

"Well you don't have to be I'm here ... "Goldenminnow grasped her hand pulling her close. Snowminnow's eyes widened." so I can use you as a sacrifice." Goldenminow pushed her into the cave. Her eyes adjusted a little.

"I don't see anything." Snowminnow commented. Goldenminnow swam in knocking her in the back. "Hey" Snowminnow moved forward bumping something else infront of her. "Uhhhhh Goldenminnow please tell me you somehow got in front of me."

"How would I do that I'm behind you?" Goldenminnow responded. Light started illuminating the cave each light with a jagged pair of teeth.
"Where surrounded." Goldenminnow looked around him his eyes wondering to each anglerfish around them. While he did this Snowminnow could see another light one that was blue instead of the angler fish white lights.

Snowminnow grabbed Goldenminnow's paw. " It's know or never."

"What?!" Goldenminnow called from behind her. She whizzed through a small gap in the angler fish. "HOLY PEARLS" Snowminnow raced toward the blue light the anglerfish close behind. There was a small gap that was illuminating light. Snowminnow squeezed through it to be met with a small cave full of dazzling crystals. Snowminnow stopped starring at the site before her.

"It-its spectacular." Snowminnow starred in aw at all of the different crystals with different shapes, sizes, and colors. Tearing her eyes away from the crystals she looked at Goldenminnow. His pelt shined in the crystal's light reflecting off to make the room a light shade of yellow. Goldenminnow wasn't paying attention to the crystals or his own pelt but to Snowminnow grasping his hand. Snowminnow snatched her hand out of his grip grumbling a "sorry".

Goldenminnow looked up meeting her eyes " well I guess you saved me from getting munched on by a family of angler fish. "

"Oh um well" Snowminnow blushes a little. She then snapped out of her thoughts and scratched him in the back of his head. " You pushed me into a den full of anglerfish!"

" oh I was hoping you'd forget about that part" Goldenminnow smirked then changed the subject. " That's Aquamarine" he pointed at a greenish blue crystal. " And that's Pyrope" he pointed at a bright red crystal. I studied the crystals he pointed at.

"How do you know so much about crystals" Snowminnow asked" Is it a lonely thing or-"

" I have friends. " Goldenminnow growled " I just needed to find something that is as dazzling as I am." Goldenminnow gestured to himself causing Snowminnow to make a sick face.

"I'm gonna throw up" Snowminnow then narrowed her eyes. " How are we gonna get out of here?"

"There's a small tunnel behind that boulder that leads to the outside." Goldenminnow looked through a couple of crystals picking some of them out and throwing them into a pile behind him.

"Why didn't we go that way!?" Snowminnow asked pointedly.

" The boulder cant be pushed out of the way from the outside wise cat happy?" Goldenminnow threw a crystal it bounced off her head.

"No, you forget the basket didn't you!" Snowminnow growled looking at the small pile he was forming.

He stopped picking through the crystals. " Oh I must of left it outside the cave when I push- I mean encouraged you to look inside." Goldenminnow smiled guilty " well I guess we have to carry as much as we can." Snowminnow rolled her eyes picking through the crystals and forming a pile like Goldenminnow was doing. " I think that's good enough " a rather large pile was formed behind Goldenminnow he surveyed it proudly.

"How are we gonna carry all of that genius?" Snowminnow swam over to his pile. Goldenminnow looked at the pile then at her then to the boulder blocking the entrance.

"You stay here and I'll leave." Goldenminnow picked up as many crystals as he could hold. "I'll go outside and get the basket. You'll throw me crystals from here." He pointed to the pile then the hole.

"Your gonna leave me in here?" Snowminnow said looking around fiercely " What if the anglerfish come back?!"

"Anglerfish don't like light unless it's there or other Anglerfish lights." Goldenminnow said matter a factly " And you came in first you can leave last. " Goldenminnow swam over to the boulder and gestured for her to open it for him. Snowminnow struggled it open.

" Quickly go its heavy!" Snowminnow complained urging Goldenminnow to swim faster. Once he got through she dropped the boulder almost on his tail. She then swam back to the large pile and took a small pile from it pushing it to over to the boulder.

"How am I going to do this?" Snowminnow pondered. "I can't open the boulder with one paw and there's nothing in here that can prop it up." She then got an idea. She lifted the boulder with both paws and swung her tail back brought it forward were it successfully hit the pile of crystals down the tunnel. Letting go of the boulder tunnel once all of them went down. She went back the the large pile and made a small pile bringing it to the boulder so she could hit it down the tunnel. She repeated this until both piles were gone. With her last burst of energy she picked up the boulder high enough for her to swim down. Waiting at the end of the tunnel was Goldenminnow looking rather bored and next to him a basket full of all types of crystals. She dramatically collapsed next to him.

"You took so long " He complained poking her." I am not carrying you back-"

" I'm exhausted " Snowminnow whined giving him big eyes. Goldenminnow sighed and bent down she wrapped her arms around his neck and her tail around his lower back and tail. "I didn't think you would do it."

"Well I'm a gentletom" Goldenminnow responded" and if you even think about telling someone about you saving me I swear I'll drop you into a pit." Goldenminnow reached down and grabbed the basket full of crystals " Your lighter then this basket of crystals even though your fat are you sure your eating enough?

"I'm mostly fur" Snowminnow nipped his ear "And my eating habits are non of your business."

"Bu-" Goldenminnow shrugged causing Snowminnow to yelp " Oh reallyyyyy" he shrugged again.

"I don't like salmon " Snowminnow blurted before he completely shrugged her off.

"Well that wasn't as interesting as I hoped it would be." Goldenminnow grumbled. "We're almost there can you get down?"

"I guess" Snowminnow got off of him.

"Oh and here" Goldenminnow pushed the basket of crystals at Snowminnow "it's your shift"

"What HEY" Goldenminnow sped up and Snowminnow followed dragging the basket of crystals with her.
