That night, Hugo was still playing in his ice rink. He was really enjoying himself. Axel came in and found his little brother.

"Are you still in here?" Axel chuckled.

"I can't help it—I'm having so much fun in here I can't stand it," giggled Hugo.

"Well, I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, baby bro," Axel chortled. "But Dad said it's time for your bath."

"Okay," Hugo agreed. He jumped out of the rink, took off his skates, put on his boots, and left with Axel.

Hugo used to dislike baths until Axel helped him learn the hard way why they were so important. Now Hugo really liked baths, but he really didn't like cold water, and he didn't want to take a bath with cold water, so that's why he's quick to stop playing when it's bath time.

After his bath, Hugo was in his and Axel's bedroom, dressed in his pajamas. He was sitting on his bed, playing his new guitar. Axel could tell that his little brother had a happy birthday.

"Well, did you have a great birthday?" Axel smiled.

"The best," Hugo smiled back. "It's really been full of surprises."

The princes' parents came in to see their sons. They were happy to see them both happy.

"It's good to know you had fun, champ," Garrick smiled.

"It's also good to know I have great friends and a wonderful family," Hugo grinned.

The family got into another bear bug.

"Okay, boys, time for bed," Garrick instructed.

Hugo put his guitar in the case and crawled into his bed. The princes' parents hugged and kissed them.

"Sleep well, boys," Samira smiled.

"Good night," the princes waved.

"Happy birthday, champ," Garrick smiled.

"Thanks," Hugo smiled.

Garrick and his wife left to let their sons sleep. Axel hugged his little brother tightly.

"Happy birthday, baby bro," Axel smiled, covering Hugo with a blanket.

"Thanks, Big Bro," Hugo smiled. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Axel crawled into his own bed and whispered to Hugo, "Sleep well." He turned off the little bedside light and fell asleep.

This had been a great birthday for Hugo. He had received a homemade guitar from his best friend and an indoor ice rink from his family. But Hugo was mostly thankful for his friends and family, and they were the gift that keeps on giving. He knew he could count on his friends and family to make any day a great day.
