It was Sofia's, Amber's, and James's first days at their new schools. They were very excited, but they were also a little nervous—and they were mostly sad that they won't be going to school together anymore.

Sofia and her older siblings joined their parents at breakfast. Amber was wearing her yellow dress that had a green sash with a green choker and an emerald tiara. James was wearing his usual every-day suit. Sofia was wearing a school uniform that she designed herself.

"Good morning," Roland smiled.

"Are my kids ready for their first days at their new schools?" Miranda beamed.

"We're ready!" the three kids chorused.

"I can't believe it—we're all going off to different schools," Sofia declared.

"Yes, we are," James nodded. "Nothing will be the same anymore."

"I guess you'll never truly appreciate what you have until you lose it," Amber declared.

"That's true, but you still live together, so when you all have the chance, you'll get to have fun together," Miranda smiled.

"Mom is right," Sofia smiled. "Besides, this is even bigger than our graduation night. Besides, I'm a little nervous."

"Ah, everything will be fine, Sof," James told his younger sister. "Besides, you won't be alone at Corinthian Sports—Hugo will be there, too."

The thought of having her boyfriend at her new school was enough to make Sofia's face light up. "Yeah, he will," Sofia smiled.

"Well, I'm not nervous at all," Amber gloated. "The first day of school is nothing for me—everyone at Ever Realm Academy will love me when they find out I'm going to be queen of Enchancia!"

But James and Sofia stared at their sister in disbelief.

"Uh, Amber, Ever Realm is a school for future rulers and advisors, so therefore, half the school will be future kings and queens," Sofia pointed out.

"Amber, nobody likes to listen to that kind of boastful talk," Roland chided his older daughter. "I hope you're not going to behave that way at school."

"Yes, Daddy," Amber nodded.

Meanwhile, at Hugo's palace, he had just eaten breakfast, and he was dressed in his school uniform. He had just what he needed for his first day at the Corinthian Sports School. His older brother, Axel, came into their bedroom to get his school supplies for his first day back to Ever Realm, and he was happy for his little brother.

"Oh, today is the big day!" Axel beamed. "Today is my baby bro's first day at the Corinthian Sports School!"

"I know!" Hugo cried. But then his excitement turned into sadness. "You know, as excited as I am to start a new school, I'm a little nervous. All my friends have gone off in different directions—nothing will ever be the same."

"Well, you're right—things will be different when you enter that school, and you'll find yourself with different classmates and different teachers," Axel said, putting his arm around his little brother. "But just think—not all your friends are at different schools. Sofia will be at the CSS, too—she's the reason you're a flying derby champion and that you've taken up ice-dancing. She should be the bright side to going to this school."

Thinking about his girlfriend still going to school with him made Hugo's face light up.

"I guess you're right," Hugo smiled.

Suddenly, the princes' father, King Garrick, came in. "Are my boys ready?" he asked. Then he looked at Hugo and asked, "Better yet, is my Hugo ready for his first day at his new school?"

"I'm ready," Hugo smiled proudly.

The whole royal family got into a flying coach, and it flew off.
