One day, I made up my mind to escape. How would I escape the twelve of them who resides in the den like lions and I was just a little finger, their piece of meat? I almost spent a year there living like a caged dog. Too scared to move and too scared to speak.

My plan was to give up because I had no other choice. I decided to give up and become one of them. To live their life and behave like them. It was then I learnt how to smoke cigarrette. I burnt my first stick having loud, sharp coughs and they laughed at. I made things funnier such that they trusted me.

In the night of happiness, Honourable Goriola Falade finally won the governorship election, celebrating his success with his team members that planned my parents' death. The kidnappers also celebrated.

One faithful day, I filled their cups over and over again until they were all drunk. In their intoxicated state, I took my tiny legs as fast as they could carry me out of their den.

After running for about half an hour, I met a big, rotty truck parked by the road side. It seemed like they came to dump refuse in the area. I jumped at the back of the truck while the two men at the driver's seats were deep asleep. My unsettled mind wondered through out the night, hoping none of those thugs would notice I espaped.

As early as 4:00 a.m, they woke up and drove off. I lied my back, facing the sky and praying no one would notice me.

An hour later...

We were almost in town. Somewhere I didn't recorgnise. I saw a billboard with "Gbadeogun Ibadan, Oyo state" written on it. The men stopped by a bush path to recieve the call of nature. I narrowly jumped down sneaking through so no one would see me, lying like a scattered kite under it. They zoomed off, burying me into the poisonous dust and smoke, but I came out alive without anyone's knowledge.
