Hey guys👋, I was thinking of putting names of songs that fit each chapter as the name of the chapter, tell me what you think.

Xoxo.

"Are you okay?" My mum asks

"Yes, I'm fine." I answer shaking.

"Are you sure you aren't feeling pains anywhere?"

"Yes mum I'm sure." After I made sure Will had a doctor attending to him I decided to call my mum after seeing 23 missed calls from her, my dad and Tiana.

"Mum," I say after a while, "are you forgetting the fact that I hit Will Tucker with my car?" I ask still freaking out.

"I thought you said he was getting treatment?"

"Yes he is, but what if they press charges."

"I'm sure he understands. He won't press charges." She assures me.

"Not him! His parents." When we got here, the doctor insisted that we call His parents, so Will called them and they are on their way and of course the dumbass did not forget to call the towing company telling them to tell him the expenses tomorrow. I'm sure his bike has insurance, he just wants to make my life a living hell.

"Don't over think," she says, "I'm sure they will understand." Yeah right. "Are you sure you don't want me to pick you up?"

"Yes, it's okay. It's not raining anymore and I have to wait till Will's parents get here, so I can apologize." I say sniffing.

"Okay that sounds great, do you need me there?"

"No, I've got this, you didn't hit Will Tucker, I did."

"Honey...." She starts to say but was interrupted by Tiana.

"Tell her to buy pizza on her way back!" She yells. I would have rolled my eyes if I wasn't so worked up about William.

"But you just finished eating dinner." My mum argues.

"I have a huge appetite," duh "I'm a growing woman!" She argues back. I hear my mum sigh before talking to me.

"Please be careful okay? And if you need anything, please call me and your dad says take care." She says after I heard murmuring in the background.

"Okay," I sniff, "tell him good night."

"Okay sweetie, bye." She hangs up.

I clean my eyes with the back of my hand. This was not how I wished my first week of school had gone.
First, Stephanie says she doesn't want to be my friend anymore and then I hit Will Tucker with my car. It has been an hectic week.

I stand up to go to the bathroom to wash my face with water, when I hear shouting coming from the hallway.

"Let me through!" A short brunette woman shouts pushing through the crowd, I recognise her immediately as William's mother and behind her is a tall man with dirty blonde hair trying to calm her down, his tie is hanging around his neck loosely and his hair looks rough and he looks sad, so is his wife, her eyes is red and plump from crying.

What have I done?!

There is no doubt anymore, I'm going to jail.

They stop beside me and I wish the ground would open it's mouth and swallow me whole.

"Beatrice you need to calm down." Mr Tucker says trying to calm his wife.

"Stop telling me to calm down!" She yells, "my son is in there and he is fighting for his life!"  I wouldn't say fighting. "I always tell him, every damn time! To get rid of that bike he wouldn't listen, he..."

Well, here's my cue.

"Hello," I manage to squeak out and the two of them stops to look at me.

"Who are you?" She asks clearly annoyed that I cut her rambling off. I see well got his manners from now.

"Um, I  am the driver that hit your son.' I say quietly and it was followed by an awkward silence as they both stared at me.

Okay ground, anytime now.

"You?" His dad broke the silence and I nod.

"Have you been crying?" His mum asks softly.

"Yeah...a little." I say shyly not knowing what to expect.

Her face falls and she switches to sympathy mode. "Oh sweetie."

Say what now?

I am still trying to process what she called me when she engulfed me into a hug. "Oh, it's okay." She says pulling away. "It's okay, I'm sure he's fine..." Says the woman who says he's fighting for his life. "I'm just a little dramatic that's all."

"A little?" Her husband asks in disbelief, she smacks his hand and scowl at him. "Can you tell us what happened?" He asks me.

"Um," I start, "I was coming from my job hunting, when it started to rain and I can't see well in the rain."

"No one sees well in the rain," he says. I guess it's not just me then.

I nod and continue, "I know I should have waited till it stopped, but It was already dark and I wanted to get home quickly, so I drove t-then my phone s-started ringing , I got scared and before I knew it I already h-hit Will." I say my voice shaking and I burst into tears and Mrs Tucker pulls me into a hug once more.

"Now, now don't cry." She pulls away to take a tissue from her purse and she hands it to me. I mumbled a thank you and clean my face with it, I wasn't going to blow my snot in front of them."I'm sure it was an honest mistake, I'm sure you were careful." She assures.

"And thank you," Mr Tucker adds while I gave him a confused look. "Most drivers would have flees from the crime scene." Crime scene?.

"Exactly," Mrs Tucker adds.

"But you stayed and you even brought him to the hospital."

"That is commendable." Says Mrs Tucker.

"So you're not going to send me to jail?" I ask softly, that's the only that I care about right now and of course William's health.

"What?! No!" Mrs Tucker laughs, "nobody is taking you to jail."

Phew! Now I can breathe.

"Who is with Mr Tucker?" The doctor asks from behind me.

"Me!" Mrs Tucker says raising her hand, "I mean us, we are his parents."

"Okay...well Mr Tucker is okay, no concussion,"

Thank god.

"...his spinal cord intact."

Hallelujah.

"...but.." Dang it! There's always a but. "..the crash broke his leg and neck, so hell be on crutches and cast for a few weeks."

"So he's okay?" His dad asks.

"Yes he's fine." The doctor confirms.

"Can we see him?" His mum asks.

"Sure, family only." He says and walks into William's room.

"Okay, let's go," Mrs Tucker pulls my hand along with her and I hesitate.

"No..he said  family only."

"Yes, but don't you want to see him?" She asks.

"I would rather not. I'm glad he is okay and besides I'm sure he hates me."

"I'm sure he doesn't." Mrs Tucker presses.

"I'll just wait out here," I say.

"Or you can go home," Mr Tucker suggests.

"Yes, you look very exhausted, you should definitely go home." His wife agrees with him.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive, I'm sure your parents are worried."

"Okay," I nod

"And if you are in no shape to drive, I can tell the driver to drop you." Mr Tucker says.

"No, it's fine." They are just too nice, "I think I can drive."

"Okay," Mrs Tucker smiles. "I didn't catch your name?"

"Maria." I say.

"Beautiful name." She says.

I nod and blush. "I have to go."

"Sure." Mr tucker says pulling his wife away from me.

"Bye." I wave before heading down the hallway.

"Bye!" They shout back before entering Will's room.

I'm glad that went well.

Hannah.
