"So you proposed that sort of rule as part of the Elite 10 council. Even Nakiri Azami was forced to approve it. You laid the groundwork for this outside of the school by fully utilizing the authority and connections only an Elite 10 member would have. You created a situation where the Azami administration has little choice but to accept this rule...what amazing finesse." Marui says. "Since the results of the Shokugeki between Yukihira and Eizan Etsuya were made public, the general opinion from outside the school is that Kabutoyama-senpai's expulsion should be rescinded."

"Dang good going, Isshiki senpai. That guy still hasn't taught me about skewering." Soma says.

"Moreover, today is finally..." Ibusaki asks.

"Yeah, the Central's Survivor Purge." Marui adds. "Today is going to be the first day of it."

Then they decide to check out the purge as they split into four groups to watch. But without the number, Soma and Megumi decide to go into Erina's room to ask.

"Recon? But leaving Erina-sama's side..." Hisako frowns.

"So Eri-chan isn't feeling well?" Soma asks. "I can't blame her, she's been like this since Uncle Azami came over."

"I'm fine! I've gotten a lot better!" Erina says. "Hisako, since I'll be resting...please go and help everyone."

"Are you sure you're alright? If anything happens, please call me on my cellphone immediately. If you start feeling dizzy again, take this herbal medicine with hot water. You can boil the water with this electric pot...ah, the cup is here..."

After that, Soma, Megumi, and Takumi are now at the Avenue D, where they see Akanegakubo Momo and Eizan Etsuya having a Shokugeki and winning against Chocolate RS and Western Style RS. And they win it with ease. They also notice some Grade 2 students who are said to be the Central's Elite members as they also win against them. However, when Alice and Ryo arrive, Ryo challenged Kusunoki Rentarou and wins against him. Everything was being watched by Azami, who is also there.

"Well, let's just hurry. We should be there any minute now." Isshiki says.

"What a great match." Azami says while clapping his hand, Alice turns around and says, "Long time no see, Uncle Azami."

"Given what's transpired here, I wonder if you can still say with confidence that your ideals are absolutely correct." Alice says back.

"And here I was thinking that you would be amenable to the idea of my true gourmet utopia...how unfortunate. The duty of ever-advancing the gourmet world falls to the Nakiri clan. That is the reason for this great revolution."

"I cannot come to terms with your methods, uncle. Nor do I want to! That's all there is to it." Alice says.

"I see, so you are just like Soma. First, you kidnap my beloved daughter from under my nose, and how dare you have the nerve to mouth off to my face?"

"I couldn't care less." Alice says. "I will never forget what you did, uncle. I'm angry, and I hate you! Uncle Azami. I won't let you have your way any longer! Not with Erina, not with Yukihira-kun, and not with Totsuki!"

After Azami leaves, Soma turns to Alice and asks, "So you know, huh?"

"I heard about it recently. I never knew we were long distant cousins." Alice says as they also notice Erina. "So did you hear all that?"

Erina nods a little, and Alice says, "If Uncle Azami hadn't gone and stuck his head where it didn't belong, Yukihira-kun and I'd have gotten so so sooo much closer with you, Erina. Well, if you'll excuse me..."

Erina is still frowning as she sees Alice leaves with Ryo, and the others can only sigh.

During the next class, Soma frowns to learn that Chapelle sensei was fired because he dislike what Azami is doing, and the substitute teacher turns out to be no other than Tsukasa Eishi, the first seat.

"Good afternoon...ummm...I'm not sure if you all know me or not, so...I'm the first seat of the Elite 10, Tsukasa Eishi of Central." Eishi says.

Everyone is stunned as how they don't know about this person in front of them. And Eishi adds, "Today I'll be cooking a number of different things today. When next you make these dishes, I'd like you to model your preparatory methods on the ones I used today. Um...with that said, in this lesson, I'd like to invite one of the students to come up and be my sous chef. I need someone to assist me in my cooking. Are there any volunteers?"

Of course everyone doesn't want to because of how strong Eishi is, but Soma sighs as he knows Eishi's strength, so he steps forward. Eishi asks, "Oh? Yukihira Soma? So you're also in this lesson?"

"I'll be your sous chef. You okay with that?" Soma asks, deep down inside, he doesn't like Central, but for Eishi, he might be able to help him considering their relationship as the Phantom.

Soma's movements are in sync with Eishi, as Soma has learned a lot of French cuisine from Chapelle and Shinomiya, and it is after the class, Eishi says, "That's wonderful, Yukihira! You're far better than I expected you to be. You're a useful one. So, how about you become my right-hand man? You interested in joining Central?"

"You want me to join Central, huh..." Soma says. "Why in the world would I..."

"I guess it really is hopeless..." Eishi frowns.

"There's no need to get so down from it. To be honest, I'm quite pleased and all that you recognize my skills. But I don't have any intention of sharing all my cooking to Central." Soma says.

"That's perfectly fine. I don't have any interest in Yukihira cooking after all. What I want is your ability as support." Eishi says. "I can't help but think that with you around, I'd be able to further hone my cooking beyond its current state. That's all there really is to it, so I'd be delighted if you'd reconsider. For the sake of my cooking."

"I'm surprised you can say something so selfish with such an innocent face." Soma says.

At the same time, Erina and Hisako are also there as they kneel down to see what they are talking about.

"I see, you did say that you and the Phantom are close friends. But still, if you lose, you're going to join the Central and work under me." Eishi says.

"Sure, what about the theme?" Soma asks.

"How about Vension?" Eishi asks. "It seems like these were originally planned to be used in the class just now, so various cuts have been prepared."

"That's fine with me. All that's left is to decide the cooking genre and any ingredient limitations. I'll go with French." Soma says.

As Soma is preparing his cooking the leg meat, Eishi gasps as he sees the Phantom overlap with Soma. He thinks, "Don't tell me that Yukihira is...no, that's impossible."

"Tsukasa Eishi, I'll tell you once and for all. I am unfit to be your sous chef, and I am going to win the cooking showdown today, even if I have to use the Phantom's powers. I am not going to join the likes of Central!" Soma says.

"Yukihira...so you really are..." Eishi thinks.

At the same time, Megumi also arrives as she asks what Erina and Hisako are doing, only to be dragged down to the ground as they can't be seen.

Soma decides to take out a bag of Peeled Sweetened Chestnuts, and a Charcoal Brazier, Erina knows very well that Soma is going to create a new French Cuisine dish that no one but he can create.

After the time is up, Soma and Eishi finish their dish, and they are both staring into each other.
