the sun shines down, casting shadows all over the sidewalk, hovering over the worn out passers-by.

hyunjin stays on the wall, the canopy from the cafe providing enough shade for him to not feel too hot.

he crosses his arms and leans back. sweat drips down his neck and he quickly wipes it off, cursing the weather.

sighing, he looks out into the crowd, and waits.

he hopes he isn't too creepy, waiting for someone to show up just to admire them. his friend, changbin, said he had done it all the time when going after felix. but hyunjin thinks it's still a bit different.

he decides to not get hung up on it. he tries to clear his mind, closing his eyes for a little.

when he opens them, he's surprised to find seungmin a little ways away, approaching the area that hyunjin is in. he usually comes a little later, so hyunjin is surprised that he's a bit early. but really, he isn't complaining.

hyunjin watches on, following the movements of the boy. he smiles when he notices the same bookmark hanging out of a new book seungmin must have borrowed from the library.

just as seungmin passes the spot directly in front of hyunjin, something falls out of the book and onto the floor.

hyunjin scrunches his nose, peering out to see if his eyes were just playing tricks on him.

but sure enough, there, on the unkempt, dirty, and most likely burning sidewalk, is the bookmark. once again getting trampled by the feet of busy people.

hyunjin shakes his head, a smile playing on the corner of his lips. he walks forward, this whole situation feeling a little familiar to him. except this time he knows the beautiful boy who has dropped the bookmark.

he leans down to pick it up, quickly standing once again.

he returns to his spot on the wall and glances down at the item. his smile widens as he notices the name written in black pen ink.

he shakes his head once again, whispering, "kim seungmin."
