Mephiles pov:

Author note: (this first part is during the events of generations where both sonics are reviving timelines that the time Eater destroyed)

I walked through a void of nothingness, it was pure white, it was a very annoying colour to be surrounded by, as if it was mocking me.

I couldn't just go back in time and fix my mistake and fusing with that idiotic beast iblis as here there is no time, there is no space. There's just a blank void that not even I can fill.

I wasn't letting this time go to waste however, I was honing my skills, making plans to defeat those annoying pests and I knew that everything would go according to my plan.

(Flash back)

I got a hold of the purple chaos emerald, I now know what I must do.
I wasn't able to get that stubborn fool shadow to join me, even when I revealed his terrifying faith at the hands of the humans, it disgusts me to be honest, putting lives of everyone most of them being individuals that he doesn't even know above his own. I thought he would have at least a sliver of pride and respect for his own existence.

That naive boy silver has finally figured out the truth about my origin and my goal, took him longer than I originally anticipated to be honest, doesn't matter though, he did what I wanted him to do, he got in sonics way so many times, allowing that foolish doctor to kidnap the princess over and over, he must think he's so smart. Little does that fool realize that all that did was strengthen the bond between Elise and sonic. A bond I shall now shatter.

I watched Elise and sonic walking through a garden, it appears that the blue rodent has beaten Eggman for the last time, now is my chance. I summon the purple chaos emerald above the two of them, watching the bright light blind the two both unaware of what is to come. I raise myself from the ground and simply raise my hand firing a beam of energy right through the blue blurs stomach.

I stood there for a bit with the beam through him, I wanted the feeling to sink into Elsie's mind as much as possible that her best friend was gone. I looked a bit surprised as Sonics head turned to me slightly and I saw a slight smirk, needless to say it gave me an uneasy feeling.

After the life left his eyes I made the beam disappear and watched as sonics body topple to the ground. Elise screamed in horror and began pushing sonics corps begging him to get up. The sound was like music to my ears, the sound of her agony was my paradise.

As her tears fell I couldn't help but laugh, the tears rushed down her cheeks as a fiery rush came from her and Iblis awoke, he was just a few flames no where close to the stage of evaluation the one from 200 years later is, that didn't matter to me however, I was going to be hole again, my body tingled with excitement.

"Yes!!! I can now be one with you once again! IBLIS!!"

I shouted at the top of my lungs as dark clouds quickly began to take over the once blue sky's as Iblis and I began to fly up to the heavens. I summoned the 7 chaos emeralds to myself as I began to absorb their power, iblis spun around my body like a tornado.

It was then I remembered, that smirk from that snotty blue hedgehog, what was its meaning? Did it have any meaning at all? I failed to get my mind off of it and felt as if I needed a back up plan so I stopped the fusion, the chaos emeralds had one final use for me.

I extend out my right hand and began using my own power along with the power of the emeralds, a black cloud began to form, surrounded by purple energy, it will become a destroyer of time and space, a time eater I suppose you could call it. It was small but I knew that it would grow and act out the plan I now have in place for it.

(end of flash back)

I looked around at the white void, I had a strange tingly feeling, as if something was going to happen. I look around to see... Colour. It was as if reality was coming back all around me, I looked to see that I was in the same city where I first encountered Silver and that cat.. What was her name? I suppose that detail doesn't matter any more.

I looked around at the city, what once was a destroyed wasteland was now filled with life, they also seemed to have advanced technology as flying cars were going around. "it seems life has taken its correct course once again" Mephiles thought, he didn't really care though, he preferred it when the city was in ruins. The flames of disaster wrapping through the buildings and watching as life began to die off... Ahh the good old days.

I looked up to the blue rich sky and chuckled silently, the chuckle began to get louder and LOUDER!! I raised my arms into the air in victory.
