The Stonekeeper walked to Migo, who had Percy on his shoulder and was talking to a few of the yetis.

"Migo, may I speak with you two." He asked.

Migo turned to Stonekeeper. "Me and Percy?" He asked.

Stonekeeper nodded.

Migo glanced at Percy. Percy shrugged.

Stonekeeper stared at Migo. "Don't worry. It's just to give you two answers."

Migo understood what the Stonekeeper meant.

"Ok, lead the way Stonekeeper." Migo said, hiding his excitement.

Percy felt Migo's excitement. "Where is he taking us?" Percy asked whispering.

"To complete the Soul Bond ceremony tradition." Migo whispered to him.

"Oh." Percy whispered back.

They followed Stonekeeper into the sanctuary.

Percy looked around amazed at the statues lining the walls.

Migo continued to follow the Stonekeeper the the back of the sanctuary.

Once they had gotten to the back, Stonekeeper turned to Migo and Percy.

"You two will have to go down different passages." He said calmly.

"What!?" Migo asked surprised.

Percy however was starting to get panicked.

Why would he want me and Migo to go down different paths. Percy thought. He didn't seem happy about me being here. What if he is planning something bad?

Migo felt Percy's panic and tried to comfort him.

"Don't worry." The Stonekeeper said. "It's part of the tradition."

Migo was confused. "Why would we need to be split up though?"

Dad never told me about this part of the traditions. Migo thought.

"You will see what has happened to each other on your journeys to meet." The Stonekeeper said.

"Oh." Percy and Migo said together.

Migo looked at Percy. He lifted his hand for Percy to be lowered. Percy stepped onto Migo's hand. Migo lowered Percy to the ground.

Once Percy was safely on the ground, they both turned to the Stonekeeper.

The Stonekeeper tapped his staff onto the ground. Two passage ways opened after he did.

Percy gulped. The hallways were really big, he could get lost.

"Follow the light to the end." The Stonekeeper instructed.

Percy looked down one of the pathways, he noticed that there was a small glowing light from the other side of the tunnel.

Percy looked at Migo uncertainly.

Migo nodded, giving Percy a reassuring smile.

Percy took a deep breath and walked toward the passage way.

Migo glanced at the other passage and saw another light at the end.

He in turn walked toward the other passage.

Percy had stopped at the entrance to the passage. He glanced at Migo. Migo looked back at Percy.

They could both tell the other was just as uncertain as they each were.

"Follow the light and you will see the journeys that have brought you together." Stonekeeper instructed the two.

Percy walked across the entrance to the path way.

As soon as he was inside the passage way, a wall of ice slammed down behind him cutting him off from both yetis.

Panicking, he turned and slammed his hands against the wall. "Migo!"

Migo quickly raced over to the ice wall, also panicking. "Percy!"

Migo turned to Stonekeeper, fury beginning to rise inside of him. "What have you done?"

The Stonekeeper gestured toward the ground they were standing on. "Giving you answers." He said non-chalantly.

The Stonekeeper used his staff to unlock and open a secret staircase.

"Follow me." Stonekeeper said gesturing to the stairs.

"You seriously think I'm going to follow you?" Migo yelled. "Let Percy out!"

"He needs to learn his answers, while I tell you yours." The Stonekeeper replied.

Migo looked at the stairs and then back to the ice wall that separated him and Percy.

He heard Percy from the other side of the ice. "Migo, this may be the only way to find out why we were chosen together."

Migo looked at Percy through the ice. He felt helpless to not be able to keep Percy safe.

Percy could feel Migo's helplessness, it was familiar. He looked back inside the tunnel, the light was still near the back.

He felt his heart ache knowing Migo would be worried sick if this didn't help.

"Don't worry, I'll..." Percy suddenly felt as though he was about to lose something important to him. "I'll be okay. We wanted to know why we were brought together."

"Percy-" Migo tried but Stonekeeper interrupted.

"He will be fine." He said, slightly irritated.

Migo glared back at Stonekeeper without turning from Percy.

"I promise I'll be okay." Percy said calmly.

Migo sighed. "Just, be careful okay?"

"I will, you be careful too." Percy said.

He had his hand against the ice wall as though he could have touched Migo through the ice if he tried.

Migo sighed and turned to the Stonekeeper.

In a slightly dark tone, Migo said, "I want your word Percy will be unharmed."

The Stonekeeper sighed. "He will be fine."

Migo looked back toward the ice wall.

Percy had stayed by the wall the whole time. He smiled a little because he could tell Migo was extremely protective of him.

He took his hand off the wall, turning back toward the tunnel.

Migo sighed and walked toward the Stonekeeper.

Stonekeeper stepped aside to allow Migo onto the staircase.

Migo started to walk down the staircase, the Stonekeeper soon followed.

Percy was left alone with an ice wall between him and the yeti that could keep him safe.
