Denki opened his eyes, and immediately closed them.

'Why is everything so white and bright?' Was his lucid thoughts.

When he got to his senses, everything turned worse.

His body feels like it was made of lead, pinning him down to this strange soft surface. His limbs felt like they are in a metal tube, trapped in it without a way to pull them out. His ribs are suffocating him. His head was pounding like a blacksmith's sledgehammer against an anvil.

"Uhg... what's the number of the car that hit me..." he weakly groaned out.

He took a look at his surroundings: white walls, white curtains, white bed, white sheets, flowers, cards, Eijirou, a window-

Wait... Eijirou?

With great willpower and strength, Denki moved his least damaged arm to touch the sleeping readhead's hair, which now isn't as spiky as it usually is.

"Mhm...Denki... i miss you..." Eijirou mumbled in his sleep, giving the blonde a surprise.

"Eijirou..." Denki smiled softly at his soulmate.

"I missed you too. So much, Eiji."

When the Electric user tenderly traced his lover's scar, the redhead stirred.

"..Denki..." he mumbled sleepily, yawning.

"How's your sleep, Ei-kun?"

"It's good, Denki." Eijirou grinned goofily, before his consciousness finally settled in. He blinked. Cleared his eyes. And pinched himself.

"I'm not dreaming, right?"

Denki chuckled weakly, mindful of his injured ribs.

"Nope."

The redhead's eyes started bursting out streams of water, unable to stop. His shark-like teeth clenched so tight he could chew metal. He swung his arms and wrapped it tightly but carefully around Denki, but so firmly even if the whole class 1A struggled, he wouldn't budge.

He hugged the blonde tight, afraid to let go. He was afraid that if he so much as move a finger, the other would vanish, and leave him all alone, again.

Denki grinned in tears, softly sniffing and hiccuping into the redhead's hold. He wrapped his weak arms as best as he can around Eijirou's back without letting go.

"I missed you so much.." Eijirou sobbed.

"Me too.." Denki cried.

"I love you, Denki."

"I love you too, Eijirou.." Denki sniffed. And suddenly, he got the urge to say this. These words he should've said 1400 years ago, to the past Eijirou, and from the past him.

"Tadaima, Eiji."

"Okaeri, Denki."

After so long, their threads finally intertwined again, and they couldn't have been happier.
