- JUNGKOOK's POV 👀 -

"Listen, Y/N." Mina began, her tone significantly serious. "You don't have to hide it from me, These guys that were in your room are your kidnappers, aren't they?" She asked.

I think I just choked a little—

"What? I thought it was pretty clear that they aren't." You defended. Huh, you sound offended. Where is this coming from anyways? I thought Namjoon hyung cleared that up - he was pretty straight forward too.

"No - hey, you don't have to hide it from me. I'll help you out, you just have to help a little if you really want your freedom," Mina interjected, "Those guys definitely brainwashed you!" She added. "No, Mina you listen to me. They aren't kidnappers. Whoever told you that is the real villain here - I'm sure you're talking about my so called 'father'. He has no good intentions with me. These boys have protected me from him every time." You explained calmly.

Of course we would protect you, Y/N.

You sighed, "Is that why you were acting weird and suspicious? You thought My boys— Uh, the guys were kidnappers?" You asked. I didn't hear an answer so I guess Mina nodded. "Well I don't know if you were listening before but you heard Jungkook," you started. I perked up at the mention of my name, what were you going to say?

"He's my soulmate, and if that doesn't convince you, here." You continued. Are you showing her your wrist? I don't think I should feel all giddy and swelled up with warmth right now but I am. You're showing my name on your wrist!

"Oh," Mina let out weakly. "I don't know what made you think they were the villains but I hope this has been cleared up. Ease up a little, and don't act so suspicious," you giggled. Ah, I can imagine how your face is crunched you into a carefree smile. Too bad this wall is blocking the view, but oh well.

"I really thought you were up to no good when you first came in. I don't mean to be blunt, but were you trying to seduce Hobi?" You asked, tone deeper than normal.

Double choke—

What??? Mina tried to seduce Hoseok hyung? HAHAHAHAHA I BET HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW- he is quite oblivious when it comes to that. I don't know if the same applies to our dear Y/N, though...~

"Hobi?" Mina questioned, "oh, I meant Hoseok. The man with red hair?" You briefed. I'm a man too..

"Oh, Hoseok oppa!"

Skiddjsksos— sorry I cringed.

"Haha, sorry. I hope you understand my reason. I thought I could seduce him to make things my way. You know.. I thought they were kidnapping you and all so... I thought I could make him attached to me.., so that I catch him off guard and then—"

"Okay, okay I get it." You cut in. Oooooppp someone seems jealous and possessive. I unconsciously smiled at the thought. But if I were the one to make you feel that way, it would be much better, hehe.

Mina laughed, "haha, sorry I know you're close to those guys. I won't try anything fishy anymore." She stated. Thank god she didn't try something on me first—-

"good to hear," you remarked.

'Two can play that game, Mina. Two can play that game.'

- END OF JUNGKOOK'S POV -

You sighed at Mina, "Well, now that we've cleared things up, is there anything else you need to say?" You asked plastering another smile, receiving a small smile from Mina, "No, no. Thanks for clearing things up with me, Y/N..." she trailed, making you raise a brow. "I'm sorry, but are you my unnie? You seem older than me. I'm 20 years old," She stated in the end. "Oh, well could you specify what month you were born? I'm 20 years old too." You asked, earning a nod, "November." She simply put.

(A/N: YALL HAHA.. L-Let's just pretend your birthday is before the month November for the sake of the story Oof 😅😅)

"Ah, then I'm older than you by a few months. But the term isn't needed to be used with me. Just Y/N is fine." You clarified. "Okay! I'll see you later then. I'm gonna go check on Ian." She smiled before leaving.

You let out another sigh.

Ugh, My cheeks... how do you keep up a smile for so long?

Heading back, you definitely didn't expect to see Jungkook leaning against the wall, "Jungkook?" You asked, "jeez, you scared me." You chuckled. The said male let out a smile, "sorry, but you did tell me to stay close." He raised a brow, noticing you frown, "I... did?" You asked.

This time JK frowned too, "Did you not? Before getting out of your bed, you looked at me and told me to stay close." He furrowed his brows, noticing your eyes widen, "did you read my mind or what? I didn't say it loud but I must admit, I thought of it." You admitted.

"You really didn't tell me?" Jungkook's eyes gradually grew in size, before he also gaped at you with disbelief as you nodded. You tilted your head, "kookie?"

"CAN I READ MINDS THEN??" He exclaimed, hopping on the spot, with thrill. You let out a real smile, "I'm not too sure, you must've made an oddly lucky guess about my thoughts at the moment." You reasoned. However, what Jungkook says next really caught you off guard.

"What about you thinking that Mina seems like she isn't even acting and it seems really natural that you even thought of saying 'wow'?" He deadpanned, "because during that time, I'm pretty sure your lips weren't moving. Jimin hyung didn't hear you either. I think I have a strong point here." He stated.

Haha i mean I don't mean to only catch the part where you say you were watching my lips but is that supposed to mean something???? Hmmmmm kissy kissy huh— IM NOT OKAY

Your eyes were open wide and you had to rapidly blink to make sense of JK's words. "Were you able to read my mind before that too?" You asked, furrowing your brows when the male shook his head. You still gaped at him, "are you sure I didn't just say it aloud?" You questioned, still baffled. Jungkook nodded with a frown, "Y/N," he started.

"Do you not believe me..?"

Your eyes widened and you felt a little nostalgic at the question.

...Taehyung sighed, "you were eavesdropping?" He asked, making you frown with a nod, "Tae, do you not believe me..?" You asked...

Taehyung may have not believed you, but you knew why. Suspecting Mina and Ian was the least thing he would've worried about. You shook your head at Jungkook, "I believe you." You assured, having him sigh in relief. "I just.. I didn't know reading minds was a capability with soulmates - no one has mentioned anything about that." You explained.

Jungkook nodded, "I get it." He said before placing his hands on your shoulder to make you look at him right in the eyes, "Now, What's going on?" His voice softened with concern, noticing you tense ever so slightly. "W-What do you mean 'what's going on'? Nothings going on." You answered back with a small laugh in the end. Jungkook raised a brow before letting go of your shoulders - which you didn't expect.

"Ok, I trust you." He made sure to emphasise the word 'trust'. Your eyes widened at that, watching as Jungkook made a move to leave the room.

You stopped him before he could take another step towards the door, "w-wait!" You stammered. The male let out a smile half-heartedly, "I knew it." He whispered to himself, before turning back to face you, "what are you keeping from us?" He asked, noticing how a frown grew onto your features, "I swear it's not that I want to keep stuff a secret from you. I want to make sure of things myself before I go and tell you and the boys." You blurted.

This time the brunette frowned, "Make sure of what?" He asked, making you huff before you let go of his hand and rushed to the door, making Jungkook widen his eyes, "Y/N dont leav—" he paused at the sound of a 'click'. You shut the door closed.

You turned back to your soulmate with uneasy eyes, "I don't want any intrusions." You mumbled, loud enough for the makne to hear. Taking a breath, you led the boy to your bed and made him settle beside you at the edge. "Before I start, I really need you to listen to everything I have to say," you began, earning a nod from Jungkook, "it's Mina." You stated, "She's pretending about this whole thing. I'm not sure what all you heard from behind the wall, but she tried to convince me that she had good intentions. Her fake smile tells a lot." You sighed, turning to the boy, "Ian isn't Mina's soulmate. It's Lee Taeno..," you revealed. Jungkook frowned, "He isn't? I really thought I saw his name on her wrist, though." He admitted, to which you shook your head, "it's fake. I know he didn't change his name. Lee Taeno is my ex-bestfriend. And Ian isn't Lee Taeno. He doesn't sound like him, look like him, nor does he have a birthmark at the left side of his neck." You said.

Jungkook's eyes grew wide slightly, "When did you find out?" He asked, "since they arrived. When I first saw them, they looked so tense and their eyes were wide and 'alert' was radiating off of them." You chuckled slightly with a shrug, "and you're telling me this now?" He gritted, making you frown, "oh I'm sorry, are you seriously getting mad at me for this?" You asked, noticing the male fist his palms tightly while his jaw was clenched. His eyes were trained on you with a visible glare.

Jungkook shook his head, "When did you plan to tell this to me? To us? If it weren't for this sudden mind reading ability I got, who knows when you would've told us." He shot back, making you gape at him in disbelief.

"I can't believe you right now," you breathed, having JK widen his eyes, "Y/N I don't mea—"

"For your fucking info', I told Taehyung. He says he believes me but I know he doesn't. 'It's a bit much' because it was so sudden. Did he not discuss what I told him with any of you?" You cut him off, growing more frustrated.

Am I seriously in the wrong here?

You stood up and stared down at Jungkook, "I'll repeat what I said first; I wanted to make sure of things before letting you guys know," you stated, "why? Because I don't want to cause unnecessary panic and worry for you guys." You answered your own question, "And now here you're getting mad at me because I told you now rather than before." You scoffed. "Why won't one of you at least see things from my perspective, huh?!" You finally raised your voice. Obviously it wasn't directed to your bunny - even though you're upset with him for even feeling a pang of anger towards you.

"Y/N?"

Another voice piped in. Both you and Jungkook turned your head simultaneously to see Hoseok peek his head from behind the door, before he let himself in when he caught your attention.

"Can I talk to you for a moment?"
