"Hey Peter, wake up..." Tony shook his son awake, earning a soft groan from the teen. "Peter, everyone's gonna be here in like an hour."

At that, Peter sighed and sat up, rubbing at his clouded brown eyes. Did I forget to mention he was blind? Well, let me explain.

When Peter was twelve years old, he was kidnapped by HYDRA and experimented on. It was how he gained his spider-like abilities, but they came at a cost. One of the sedatives that they used to put him under, took away his eye sight. Lucky for him, though, his so called "spidey sense" basically helped him see by alerting the teen of anything around him.

Okay, back to the story!

"Get out, I'm taking a shower," Peter sleepily ordered, waving his hand in the direction he thought was the door. Tony chuckled before ruffling the boy's hair.

"Don't take too, long. You need to eat before they arrive." Tony left the room and once he did, Peter stood up and slowly made his way to the bathroom, flicking the light on even though he didn't need to. He undressed himself before carefully stepping into the shower, fumbling with the nozzle before water cane rushing down on his head and shoulders.

He grabbed the bottle that consisted of both shampoo and conditioner, (tony combined the two so Peter didn't have to guess which one he was using) and applied it thoroughly to his chestnut curls.

Once he was done with his shower, Peter stepped out and carefully made his way back into his bedroom. "FRIDAY, can you get me my outfit for today?" Peter asked Tony's A.I.

"Of course, master Peter. The outfit is on your bed." FRIDAY responded.

"Thanks FRI," Peter thanked before hobbling over to his bed, reaching around for his outfit. Once he grabbed it, he checked for the tag in his boxers and pulled them on. Then there were skinny jeans, a distressed t-shirt and some jacket of sorts.

Once Peter was fully dressed, he pressed his hands to the wall and guided himself out of his bedroom and down the hall. Once he made it to the kitchen he sat down on one of the bar stools.

"Here, kiddo," Tony said, placing a plate in front of the teen. "Some pancakes and bacon."

"Thanks dad," Peter said with a smile. He dug into his meal, and was barely finished when a stampede of footsteps came rushing in.

"Hey, Peter!" a man's voice rang out. Peter instantly recognized the voice as Clint Barton. Clint smacked a hand down on the teen's shoulders. "Fancy seeing you here!"

"Fancy seeing at all..." Peter muttered under his breath, the only person catching the speech Steve.

"What's that supposed to mean, Pete? You have like thirty-twenty vision since the spider bite!" he exclaimed. Peter sighed and grabbed the nearest object, (which was a fork) and snapped it in half.

"Sure I do, patriot." he angrily said before swiftly following his senses to where Tony was. The billionaire immediately opened his arms and held the teen close.

"We should probably tell them now..." Tony muttered loud enough for only Peter to hear. The teen nodded against his chest, not wanting to turn around.

"Peter is blind...." Tony said awkwardly. "Has been since he was twelve."

Steve and the Avengers gawked at their teammate. "He's blind?!" Steve nearly shouted, waving his hands. "Then- then how can he fight so well?!"

"Spidey senses," Peter bluntly stated, head still in his father's chest. Steve had to sit down on one of the couches, unable to process so much information.

"So like... how do you do school?" Clint asked hesitantly. Peter sighed.

"I'm homeschooled. Dad reads everyone out to me."

The rest of the night was filled with questions towards Peter, regarding his vacant eyesight. At first Peter was very uncomfortable, but was able to suck it up for his family.

After all, quite a few of them could kill him.

Literally.
