Sorry, I'm a couple of days late, but when I got back, my PC ran into a few problems (like always) that I had to find some way to hurdle over. Either way, I'm able to do this now, Splatoon 3 was announced over a month ago, and I can finally do this chapter to celebrate it! Le's go!

Also, sorry if this feels a bit short, I tried to make it as long as I could and I've been writing it for a couple of days now, but it felt like it might be dragging on a bit, and I more so wanted this to be a prologue of what's to come in the future for this story. Don't be mad, please!

Third Person POV

Christian: It's so sad seeing you all go! We hope you'll come stay again some time, cause even on a resort island like this, we don't get such extravagant guests such as yourselves.

Callie was walking by with a suitcase, having packed it like everyone else was doing, while their faithful guide was talking to them.

Callie: For sure! This place is awesome and I'd love to come back.

Christian: Great to hear it! Feel free to ask me for a discount if you all choose to!

Callie waved as she left to put her bag in the car outside that would take them back to the plane to leave.

(Y/N) POV

They all were sitting in their seats on the plane, plenty of them tired from having to get up so early to pack everything.

Pearl: I can't wait to get home already, that place was so cramped.

(Y/N): Cramped? That place was a huge resort house.

Liz: She's just saying that because she's used to her huge mansion where she probably still doesn't even know that she has a sauna.

Pearl sat upwards suddenly.

Pearl: I have a sauna?

Liz and (Y/N) just laughed at Pearl's genuine confusion.

Marie was already passed out, leaning on Callie's shoulder while Callie watched a movie she downloaded on her phone. Marina was reading a book while Pearl sat in between Marina and Veronica, somehow reaching into both of their seats despite her small size. Meanwhile, (Y/N) couldn't tell if Liz was asleep or if she was just listening to her music with her eyes closed.

(Y/N) was admiring the view out the plane window, noticing they were flying over a desert, noticing some unique landmarks he's seen online, such as the old toward that had long since fallen over.

He looked lower seeing what looked like a compartmentalized city district in the middle of the desert.

Suddenly he felt tapping on his shoulder, causing him to look over and see Callie. He was confused before she gestured to her phone, showing she had a headphone splitter so they could both watch. Smiling, he accepted her offer, getting his earbuds out.

Marina: Pearlie, you slept the whole plane ride back, how are you still tired?

Pearl: Time zones, Rina. Suns asleep, I sleep.

She said as she flopped down over the couch's armrest. leaving Marina to just sigh, smile at her little Pearlie, and put all the bags down to start unpacking them.

Callie: So, t's fine if we crash here for the night, right? It's too late for us to drive home now.

Marina: Of course, Pearl doesn't mind. Right, Pearl?

Pearl: Zzz

Marina: Oh, right. But she would say it's okay if she awake.

Callie: Good enough for me!

Callie said, putting out an optimistic thumbs up before just flopping forward onto the floor, causing Marina to jump back in shock!

Marina: Oh my gosh! Is she okay?

Marie: Yeah, she's just tired.

Marie responded before picking Callie up over her shoulder and bringing her to a bed for her to actually sleep in.

Marina: Okay, no one else is going to fall down and pass out, right?

Marina spoke jokingly, with only a hint of worry.

Liz: I don't know, I'd kinda like to try it out.

She said, snickering seeing Marina's head zoom over to looking at her.

(Y/N) was just laying down in his bed, unable to sleep, not being tired. So, he decided to get up and go grab something to eat, but when he got to the kitchen, he noticed the TV was on in the living room so he decided to check it out.

As he walked over, he noticed someone on the couch, and as he walked closer, he recognized it was Marie.

(Y/N): What're you still doing up?

Marie: Team Night Owl, remember? Oh wait, you didn't participate in any of our splatfests.

He could tell when her sassiness was just her messing with him enough to tell she was just teasing him.

(Y/N): Not my fault, I didn't know about it back then, maybe you should've made your broadcasts and splatfest interesting enough so I would've heard of them.

Marie: Ohoho. Gonna be like that, huh?

(Y/N): Yep.

The two laughed as he sat down.

(Y/N): So, what're you watching?

Marie: Nothing much, nothing that good is on this late. So, why're you still awake?

(Y/N): Time zones. I thought Pearl was joking, but they really do mess with your sleep cycle.

Marie: Then, care to find something to watch with me?

(Y/N): Got nothing better to do.

He smirked as she continued flipping through the channels.

Marina POV

All of them were driving through Inkopolis in Pearl's car since she offered to have them dropped off, seeing as Pearl and Marina had to get back to work as well since they were now back home from vacation.

Once they arrived at Inkopolis Square, Pearl and Marina got out.

Pearl: Don't worry, I already told the driver your addresses, she knows where to go.

Veronica: Bye Marina! Bye Pearl!

Marina and Pearl waved to Veronica and the rest of them, but when they turned around, they noticed something felt off about the Square today.

Marina: Pearlie, is it just me, or does Inkopolis Square feel a bit... empty compared to usual?

Pearl: Now that you mention it, yeah, it seems there's not as many people as usual. Look! I can actually see the shop signs without someone blocking it now!

Marina was a bit confused but couldn't think too much about it since they had to get to work, she'll see what's going on later.

Marina: Nevermind about it for now, we've got to get going now.

Pearl: Wait, but I wanted to look around now that I can see a lot more now!

Marina: We'll check it out later on break, Pearl.

Pearl: Fiiiine.
