JAMES' 1st POV (@swfact)
James hadn't been a huge Star Wars fan for very long. Sure he'd watched the movies growing up. But he wasn't obsessed with the franchise, certainly not to the extent that he'd run an Instagram account dedicated to it. But ever since seeing The Force Awakens in theaters back in 2015, he'd been totally on board. It was the very hype for that movie that got him to create his Star Wars fact account on Instagram, an account currently amassing over 100k followers. And with the skyrocket in Star Wars popularity after its rejuvenation, he'd had an incredible amount of interaction, some leading to monetary opportunities, some to lifelong friendships he'd never seen coming.
James was not egotistical, but there was a great sense of accomplishment in acquiring as many facts from this fantasy franchise as he could and then editing them into a format in which he'd post.
Ironic now, though, that one of the very things he had done facts on was trying kill him.
He just hoped that in thinking the word, "ironic", good old Sheev wouldn't be the next one to show up. But he brushed that thought aside as implausible. This was a robot chasing them after all. Robots can't be that hard to replicate.
But wise words shouldn't be so easily forgotten....

SAYDEE'S 1st POV (@the.rebel.fangirls)
James was almost out of sight, and probably would have been anyway if not for the awful darkness. They had been dodging the hovering droid for about 15 minutes now, zigzagging through the tall jagged rocks that speckled the surface. The terrain they were all running on was course and rough...some might even say irritating. Saydee laughed at herself. She then recalled the episode of Rebels (season 1; episode 13: "Call to Action" to be exact) where Sabine, Ezra, and Kanan spot an Imperial probe droid, remarking on how they are not dead simply because the droid did not see them. That thought sure drew the humor out.
After running a few more yards though, she realized something odd.
Why aren't we dead yet? she thought.
She sped up to catch James and True, pushing them behind a nearby rock wall where they would have plenty of cover.
"What are you doing?!" exclaimed True.
"Why isn't the probe droid firing?" Saydee said to them. "Don't you think it would have done so if it had the chance?"
"I don't know," True admitted. "James?"
"Hey," James responded, "the source books never said anything about Vipers having a moral code."
"No," Saydee spoke up, "I mean, these guys are supposed to be super deadly! And he never fired at us! He had a ton of clear shots! So unless those things have worse night-vision than we do—"
     "—Not likely," James interjected. Rude.
"—Then for whatever reason...it's not trying to kill us."
True looked dumbfounded. "Saydee, do you realize how crazy that sounds?"
"All of this is crazy!!" she said.
     "Fair enough..." said True.
That iconic droid chatter sounded off right behind them, and James was the first to pick it up.
"Look out!" But they were already in a position of no escape. If they tried to run, the probe droid could vaporize them in an instant.
Saydee was no longer certain of her theory, and now more certain that she had just sealed her fate.
I could sure go for a Han and Chewie intervention right about now.
But the most unexpected thing happened. The droid didn't fire. It didn't make any hint at any motion of any hostility whatsoever. Instead, a voice came out of the bulbous tin can.
"Ahhhhhh," came a shrill and high pitched voice, a hint of glee hidden in his tone. Saydee could swear she had heard it before. "New contestants I can see, hmmm? Zhey awived quvicker zhan I vould've thought! My new biologically functioning friends, I am anxzious to meet you all...
Face. To. Face."
