Ezra woke up, seeing with blurry vision he knew that The Grand Inquisitor was gone, and so was Tarkin. He sigh in relief.

Finally. Peace, for know. Ezra was trying not to spill. For his sake and the others, he wanted them safe from the Empire. Yet, pain is what he's getting back.

Ezra couldn't stand it anymore. The Fear was coming to him, fast. He can't help the blood on his body, scars, bruises, and even his eyes were not the shiny blue, they we're dull.

Ezra closed his eyes to rest. He needed anyways, he thought maybe for a little then he'll focus up.

He heard footsteps, echoing in the hallway. Please just be storm troopers passing by! Please! He pleased with hope. The footsteps went away. Ezra smiled knowing he was safe, until...he heard more footsteps. He gripped the metal he was attached to hard.

His heart raced like a speeder. He knew he was screwed, big time. He felt as if his life was over. The footsteps stopped at the door. His heart dropped. Eyes, wide with fear. Ezra closed his eyes. This is it. Time to...

When Ezra open his eyes, he saw...Kanan? Wait! Kanan?! He jumped with joy. "K..Kanan?" He spoke with a scratching voice. Kanan ran up and unlock him from his trap and hugged him close. "Thank goodness your ok!" He said into the teen's arm. Ezra grin, he knew he was safe.

"Let's go!" He said, walking close beside Kanan. Kanan help him try to walk. Then, he noticed how beat up the kid was. "Oh...Ezra." He said with sadness. "Kanan...let's hurry, I'll be fine." Ezra pushed Kanan forward and they kept moving.

Kanan still looked at the teen. He was beaten up bad, he wanted this, not Ezra. He wanted Ezra to be safe. Now, he feels the hurt. "I should be like this." He mumbled. Ezra look concerned but he knew right away what Kanan had said. Ezra only shook his head.

"Some times we make choices." Kanan hid a laugh. Me much? He thought. "Sound like me, kid." He add on. Ezra only smiled.

"Well, I learn from the best." Ezra's vision started to blackened, he looked at his Master with a tired face. Ezra's body fell to the floor.

"Ezra!" Kanan called. Kanan shook the teen. His blue eyes appeared. "K-Kanan? I...I feel sleepy..." He mumbled. Kanan only shook his head. "Stay with me..." Kanan said only to sound sad.

"Master...D..." Ezra said only to be unconscious. "Ezra, Ezra? Ezra! I promise to bring you home. Don't leave me, kid..." Kanan cried and hugged the teen close to his chest where he could hear Kanan's heart beat.

**************

It's on been a week, and Kanan been checking on the kid every second. Ezra was pretty much in a coma, their only hope was for the kid to wake up, and be back with the Crew again.

Kanan sat down and stroked his blue hair. Ezra has been recovering his wounds, a little bit. Kanan was glad about that but, he wanted his Padawan awake and alive. Kanan only thought of a song. Something he knew of for awhile now. He closed his eyes and sing the song.

I can't believe

That when I breath

There's something good inside of me

Just one go thing inside of me

So close to me that memory

Of that one good inside of me

Just one good thing inside of me

If I went out the back door nobody would stop me

But where would I go?

Cause I ain't had a real home so, what do I know?

So I could keep running, hide until they find me

But what would that do?

If they could only know what I knew

What would it prove?

I should have seen the writing on the wall

Instead I'm left to fall

Cause the longer I'm away

The more we stay the same

Looking back where I thought I knew it all

Instead I'm left to fall, did I throw it all away?

I can't believe

That when I breath

There's something good inside of me

Just one good thing inside of me

So close to me that memory

Of that one good thing inside of me

Just one good thing inside of me

Don't you know little boy, they'll lay you to waste man

Little do they know every song is a life span

Never taken one but I'm taking my last chance

To hold all we know and let go with both hands

Oh, don't you know that clouds are made from concrete?

Right through the stone

Can you hear my heart beat?

Beats through my bones like the memory left me

Not for a second or a minute when I dream

I wanna go home like the home that I keep

You can dig six or sixty six feet

We can live forever still your misery missed me

Hold this song together with a bottle of whiskey

Look into the mirror at lines that time drew

Seemed painted white and the eyes that shined through

My heart beats heavy in an open chest

And I wanna say goodbye, but there's nobody left

I can't believe

That when I breath

There's something good inside of me

Just one good thing inside of me

So close to me that memory

Of that one good thing inside of me

Just one good thing inside of me

I broke it all and I'm out to the test

Put your hands to mine and fell the emptiness

There's no beats in my chest cause there's nothing left

No it ain't goodbye, it's a last caress

What's another dream, you can hardly sleep

Can you believe bad things only happen to me?

God knows one day, you will finally see

That scares will heal but we're meant to bleed

Do you realize I would lie for you?

Please have my last breathe, I would die for you

I know I'm good but my heart beats true

You know I'm gonna fight, though I might be scared to lose

You took me in and I fucked it up again

An empty promise, no i won't pretend

Cause in the end we need someone to solve em

Nobody can fix me if I'm part of the problem

I can't believe

That when I breath

There's something good inside of me

Just one good thing inside of me

So close to me that memory

Of that one one good thing inside me

Just one good thing inside of me

Kanan open his eyes again. His heart dropped, Ezra was staring at him with wondering eyes. Kanan felt only a bit shocked and embarrassed.

"Kanan? Since when can you sing?" Ezra asked. "It's amazing!" Ezra smiled. Kanan couldn't help it and hugged Ezra close to him. Ezra was startled but knew Kanan was worried. "I thought I lost you..." Kanan whispers.

"Kanan, I'm glad your happy. But...why didn't you tell me you could sing?" Ezra was still amazed by Kanan's voice. Kanan felt a little embarrassed by it but decided to speak. "To be honest, I really can't remember why." He said. "I sometimes sing to myself, try to practice." Ezra nodded along.

"How long did you hear it?" Kanan asked. Ezra smirked. "Long enough." Kanan rolled his eyes. "Don't worry Kanan, I won't tell anyone...I promise, dad." Ezra smiled. Did he call me dad?!?! Kanan blinked and hugged Ezra more. "Thank you son." He said, while Kanan kiss Ezra's forehead.
