They were gone.
Ezra slid down the side of the wall, sobbing.
The poor boy didn't understand why this had to happen. Why him... Why them.
The 18 year old cried. He remembered it happen in his mind, crystal clear.
The worst part was... It was Maul. It was Maul that killed them.
Maul had him in a trance. They cried out to Ezra, trying to get to him... Shouting for help.
He stabbed them without second thought... But boy was he regretting it now. They were his family. But now they were gone.
Ezra had gotten revenge, of course, even if revenge was not the Jedi way.
Ezra hated Maul for what he did. What he did to the Jedi, the Mandolorian... The Twi'lek.... The Lasat.... He even hated him for dismantling C1-10P... No matter how much the droid annoyed the teen.
Ezra got up. He started walking the halls of Hera's ship... No... She's gone... It's His ship now.
The teen opened the door to the teenage girls room. Sabine Wren. His "sister".
He looked around the room. It was so colorful. He missed her colorful personality. He missed her.
The teenage Jedi looked up at the ceiling. He saw her painting of the crew. His family.
They were chibi looking. They looked so happy. It made Ezra smile.
Kanan and Hera were standing next to each other, smiling on the left side of the painting.
On the right side, was Zeb and Ezra, the Lasat was playfully holding the kid in his arm.
And finally the bright Mandolorian girl in the middle.
Ezra smiled as he remember happy memories with his crew.
Memories with Hera. His mom.
Memories with Kanan. His father.
Memories with Zeb. His big brother.
Memories with Sabine. His sister.
His smile started to fade as he remembered...
They're gone... And they're not coming back.
Ever.
