Daniel is an unaltered clone of clone commando Cobalt created by the kamanoins as a member for project enigma (the testing for force sensitive clones) however the projects' cancellation as well as Daniel being unable to use the force meant that Daniel was never involved with the project. He however was recorded having an extremely high Iq of 300 and was sent offworld to be used at a different facility however the ship he was on suffered damage in a storm whist leaving and crashed on a different planet than intended.

Daniel was found by Michael Hayes who took him in as a younger brother. However Daniel's smarts meant he was ostracised amongst the town he lived and he was mistreated by many civilians including Micheal's parents who didn't see him as a proper son and greatly neglected him. Micheal and Daniel ran away and joined a pickpocket gang led by Ron.
With Michael's death and the fang's breakup Daniel was left completely alone and he became a vagabond, wandering around the galaxy until eventually he made his way to Naboo where he was found by the Strykers and taken in by them, he and Joey became especially close the two forming a very close older brother-younger brother relationship.
