Joey was the padawan of former jedi master Naree, being taken in by here after her departure from the council before the clone wars. She acted as both his jedi master and as a mother figure to him, following her death early in the clone Wars Joey was orphaned for 2 years before being found and taken in by Cobalt and Martha Stryker. Joey soon became the older brother figure for Daniel Stryker when he joined the family and the two are very close, and Joey would protect him and the rest of his family with his life if he needed to
