It took me until today that the majority of my choir songs are about death...

They're either really uplifting...

Or about death and dying.

For example;

The Tenor/Bass choir last year had a song.

One More River to Cross

And a Solo and Ensemble song is

Poor Wayfaring Stranger

In PWS,

I quote:

"I'm just a going, over Jordan. I'm just a going over home."

Jordan, Means river.

"Crossing a river"

Metaphor for Death.

"One more river to cross"

Dying.

That's deep.

(I hope that made sense...)

Don't even get me started on Loch Lomond

"For me and my true love will never meet again, on the Bonnie Bonnie banks of Loch Lomond"

She died.

I...,,

I'll have to go more in depth another time.

For now..
