A day had passed. I was living on the outskirts of ThunderClan. I decided to give life one more shot and I failed. I had nothing. And that's not an over-exaggeration. I literally had nothing.
I couldn't catch any desirable prey and my fur was clumped into mangy tufts. My rib cages poked out like branches on a tree.
I trekked slowly over to the gorge on WindClan's territory. This was it. I was done. Finally.
As I neared, the gorge released a sonorous roar. I flattened my ears, my heart pulsating in my chest.
I was standing two paw-steps from the end. I observed the long, devasting drop.
I inhaled deep, heavy breaths. C'mon Eagledust. I pondered to myself. Get it over with.
I grasped onto the edge of the rocky gorge with my claws. Small orange pebbles tumbled down; like I was going to do in a second.
"Eagledust?" A calm, familiar voice sounded from behind me.
I rotated around, coming face to face with Frostfall. Luckily, she was alone.
"W-What are you doing?" The snow-coloured she-cat stammered. She pricked her ears in concern. Frostfall studied my face. I didn't smile or beam. I was sure I looked dead.
She marched up to me so our muzzles were inches away from touching.
