Ceaderstripe and her patrol padded into camp, jaws filled with prey, and padded to the fresh kill pile to deposit their catch.
"Greenleaf provides!" Mewed Ceaderstripe happily.
"Yes, yes it does," Flathead mewed.
"I'm going to visit the nursery," Ceaderstripe mewed.
Flathead nodded, "of course."
Ceaderstripe padded to the nursery, as she entered the den she noticed Galaxy blink his eyes groggily.
"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" Ceaderstripe mewed, "I can come back later."
"No, no. It's quite alright," Star yawned, "I want to walk around camp, stretch my legs a bit. Galaxy, either come with or go back to sleep."
Galaxy yawned, "I'll rest more," he mewed as his eyes closed slowly.
"Ah, kits. Are you going to have any someday?" Star mewed as they left the den.
"I'd have to get a new mate," Ceaderstripe mewed with a sigh she glanced towards the entrance of the warriors den where Flathead was sitting.
He winked at her so she looked away, pretending not to have seen it.
"Or an old one," Star mewed, "he cares, he really does."
Ceaderstripe stopped walking, "If he did care he wouldn't be with Rubyfur and he wouldn't have left me."
"It's only because he cares so much. I think he was afraid of losing you and having his heart broken so he ended it before he could get hurt," Star mewed as she continued to walk, "are you coming?"
"Yes, of course," Ceaderstripe mewed then started to walk again.
"Who knows, maybe I'm right," Star mewed.
"And maybe you're wrong," Ceaderstripe mewed politely.
"Like I said, 'who knows'," Star purred.
Ceaderstripe and Star walked several laps around the camp, talking, laughing, and more talking.
"Galaxy will be hungry by now, I should get back to him," Star mewed.
"Ok, see you later," Ceaderstripe mewed.
Ceaderstripe padded to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a crow.
"Mind if I join you?" Hemlockheart mewed from behind her.
"Of course I don't mind!" Ceaderstripe lowers her voice to a whisper, "Don't tell Dawnkit or Mudkit, but you're my favorite sister."
The two she-cats laughed together then took the Crow to the corner of camp and began to eat it.
Ceaderstripe licked her lips happily after finishing her half of the crow, "that was good," she mewed with a purr.
Hemlockheart nodded as she at the last few bites of her half, "yeah," she mewed as she finished.
Ceaderstripe rolled onto her back happily and sighed, "so. How are you?" She mewed, turning her head to look at Hemlockheart.
"Fairly good, how about you?" Hemlockheart mewed.
"Alive and breathing. So pretty good," Ceaderstripe laughed and Hemlockheart laughed with her.
"But seriously, how are you?" Hemlockheart stopped laughing.
Ceaderstripe stood up, "I'm ok. I just wish he would have at least waited before getting a new mate," she mewed sadly.
