Everyone turns back to Hazelstripe, "He does!?"
Froststar pulls his head backwards, "I do?"
"Oh don't think I don't notice the two of you," Hazelstripe rolls her eyes.
"Who!?" Froststar tilts his head.
"I don't know her name," Hazelstripe shifts her paws as she says it and Ceaderstripe can tell its a lie, "she hasn't talked to me yet."
"You mean Dovesong!?" Froststar's eyes are wide.
"Who?" Heatherfur asks, head tilted.
"She's a questioner," Froststar mews, "she's not exactly what you'd call- I dunno-"
"Real," Hazelstripe rolls her eyes.
"Uh, yeah," Froststar looks at the ground.
"You have a imaginary mate?" Burntwhisker laughs, "you're pathetic."
"She's not imaginary," Froststar growls.
Burntwhisker steps back, "sure, sure."
"Then what is she?" Cocoapaw steps forward, obviously curious.
Ceaderstripe flicks her ear to get a bug to fly away.
"She's not alive, nor is she dead. She is mortal, just like the rest of us, but she exists in her own world," Froststar looks thoughtfully at the sky.
"She, along with her apprentice Snowpaw, both live in their own kind of world," Hazelstripe exains, "they don't exist in our world, they even have their own forest and home in theirs."
"They live in a small little Shak in a place called the Enchanted meadow. Its a place that only cats of their world and of Starclan can reach," Froststar mews.
"You Frostclan cats," Shrewtail laughs, "never stop imagining do you?"
"She's real-! Well- not exactly. But she's alive," Froststar looks back to the ground but quickly looks up, "And she's not my mate!"
"Yet," Hazelstripe mutters.
Froststar rolls his eyes, "she's back on her paws, let's get going."
"So what's a questioner?" Ceaderstripe asks.
"You want to know all about your competition don't you," Burntwhisker mutters.
"Remember that time the two of you had the same fight and one of you almost immediately started hanging out with someone else? It'd be hard to do that on a journey... You know... Together," Hemlockheart rolls her eyes.
"That was different!" Burntwhisker objects.
"Yeah," Shrewtail rolls his eyes as well, "sure it was. Last time you thought Ceaderstripe and Froststar were together there wasn't a she-cat involved with Froststar, he was single, more open to-"
"I agree with everything up until that last part," Fluffypelt mews.
"You two are very complicated cats," Cocoapaw laughs, "if I ever get a mate I hope she's not as dramatic as you are Burntwhisker."
"I'm dramatic!?" Burntwhisker stops walking.
"Yes, this little scene here is called dramatic," Heatherfur mews matter-of-factly.
Burntwhisker let's out a huff and storms ahead of the group.
"You can't stay mad at us forever!" Brightpaw calls.
Its happening again... My world is crumbling... Ceaderstripe wants to cry but she knows she shouldn't cause a bigger scene. Burntwhisker was right, Ceaderstripe had romantically thought about Froststar a few times. But never enough to leave him. Every she-cat dreams of a leader at some point, right?

"Burntwhisker," Ceaderstripe pads up behind the dark tom, "I admit, I've thought about Froststar as more than a friend-"
"You-!" Burntwhisker turns to face her.
"But. You didn't let me finish. Cats are bound to think of another cat at some point. It doesn't have to mean anything big," Ceaderstripe explains.
"Yeah well this is different."
"Different than what?"
"You see him all the time-"
"We're on a journey together," Ceaderstripe looks at the slowly darkening sky.
"Even back at home."
Ceaderstripe rolls her eyes, "we share powers."
"Yeah well-"
Ceaderstripe looks at the ground and then back to Burntwhisker, "don't you trust me?"
"Of course I trust you," Burntwhisker nods, he nuzzles her cheek, "I'm just very protective. Its not every day a big fancy leader gets close to a she-cat. And when it does happen someone has ought to worry, right?"
"I guess," Ceaderstripe looks Burntwhisker in the eyes, "I really hated seeing you with Rubyfur."
"Well all of our friends sided with you," Burntwhisker laughed, "I was desperate for friendship!"
"And she was desperate for something else," Ceaderstripe shoulders him.
"Yeah," Burntwhisker shudders, "I'm sorry for overreacting."
"I'm sorry for making you question my loyalty," Ceaderstripe licks his cheek, "let's go, we've got to catch up with the others."
Although the others weren't too far ahead Ceaderstripe didn't want to be behind at all.
Its ok again, this won't happen again, will it?
