Ceaderstripe stood up and stretched with a yawn, watching her breath cloud up in the cold air. Memories of being a kit and her first Leaf Bare flooding her mind.
She thought of when she saw her first snow flake, it was so beautiful, she didn't know what snow could do to a clan, making prey scarce and cats hungry.
She shook her memories away and padded out of the den to request being sent on an early patrol.

Halftail was leading the patrol she was chosen for, a border patrol.
Ever since the battle more patrols had been sent out.
"Rosepetal," Halftail beckoned her to the front and they began a quiet conversation.
The only other cats on the patrol were Flathead and Applepaw.
"What can you smell?" Flathead asked his apprentice.
"I can't smell anything but cold air," Applepaw mewed.
"Try harder," Flathead persisted.
Applepaw lifted her nose to the sky then put it down to the ground.
"Mouse! A mouse must have passed through here!" Applepaw mewed.
"Good job," Flathead mewed.
The patrol continued, nothing exciting happened other than Flathead stepping on a thorn and insisting he was alright.
Needless to say, he limped the rest of the patrol even after Applepaw had to pull the thorn out.

"Your pregnant!?" Fluffypelt mewed excitedly.
Hemlockheart and Shrewtail has just told their friends about their soon coming kits. It would be a little while before they were born but Shrewtail insisted Hemlockheart not use her power for the time being.
"Does Gravelstripe know how many kits there will be?" Heatherfur asked.
"She's not sure, but we think there's at least two," Hemlockheart mewed.
"And we've already started thinking of names," Shrewtail mewed, "Shiverkit for a gray kit, Squirrelkit for a reddish kit, oh, and maybe Copperkit for a reddish brown kit, what about Rai-"
"That's enough, we can decide on names when they come," Hemlockheart laughed.
Ceaderstripe was glad her sister was so happy, Ceaderstripe herself had a bit of a rocky patch in her relationship.
"Maybe we'll have kits one day," Burntwhisker whispered into her ear.
"Maybe, but not yet, I want to wait until we've completed the prophecy so I can truly focus on a family," Ceaderstripe mewed back.
Burntwhisker leaned against her, "I'll wait as long as it takes."
