After arriving at his homeland, Toad points them to the pink castle ahead. "This way, Mario and Y/N! The princess lives right on that hill.", Toad said before running ahead.

Mario and Y/N follow after him again. Some Toads punch coin blocks with their mushroom hat, causing the coins to fall out like ATM machines.

A red and white one tires from getting out a lot of coins he brings out. "Excuse me, everybody, coming through.", Toad said, shoving past the Toads.

"Got a big adventure happening right now. Just clear a path for us.", Toad continued. The red and white one dropped a giant gold coin after being shoved by Toad.

Mario picks up the coin, as the red and white Toad approaches him. "If I could just...", Toad said.

"Here you go.", Mario said, handing it to him and donning his cap. "...excuse me.", Toad continued.

Y/N helps up the blue and white one that fell to the ground. "Here, let me help you. Sorry about my friend.", Y/N said.

Once he's back on his feet, she and Mario follow after Toad, as many mushroom folks stare at them along the way. Y/N looks around the shops and the city in awe until it is ruined by Toad, who jumps and shouts at the folks, scaring them.

"Excuse me, everybody! Coming through! These guys' brother is going to die! Imminently!! Out of the way, please!", Toad shouted out. Mario and Y/N are instantly shocked and angered at what Toad just said.

"Hey!" Mario said, shrugging his arms in annoyance. "What the heck, man?! That doesn't make us feel less worried for his safety!" Y/N exclaimed, glaring at him.

Toad turns to them and gives off an innocent smile. "Just trying to clear a path. That's all I'm doing. He's going to be fine.", Toad reassured them.

"You better be right that he's okay.", Y/N said, calming down a little. A purple Toad passes by.

"Chanterelle.", Toad greeted. "Morning.", Chanterelle greeted back.

"Nice to see you, bud.", Toad said. A yellow Toad passes Mario and Y/N, holding Cheep Cheep in a plastic bag.

The fish, however, sneers at Mario, which startles him a bit. Y/N was amazed at this place, as she could see the antiques shop.

"Does this thing work?" one Toad asked. "Yes, works great. You just have to blow into it.", another Toad replied.

Going across a yellow, doorless, elevator-like platform, Toad enters. "And up we go!", Toad said.

"Wait, up?", Mario and Y/N questioned in unison. Seeing the black and yellow stripes on the bars, Mario and Y/N rushes over, jump, and land next to Toad, before the platform goes up.

They get onto another platform that moves across, and Toad and Y/N jump into another, as Mario follows. However, he grabs onto the edge of the platform as it moves.

Y/N quickly helps out and pulls him up next to her. Mario catches his breath as Y/N pats his back.

"You doing okay, bro?" Y/N asked. "Y-Yeah! I'm fine. Thanks.", Mario replied.

"We might need to hurry up.", Y/N said. Y/N and Mario chase after Toad, who has already scurried off.

They go up to the platform next to the green Toad as it moves up. They heard a whistle, turned to see Toad, and hurried after him as they ran across a floating brick road.

Mario and Y/N look down at it. "Whoa! Okay, so these bricks are just floating here? Uh...", Mario asked in shock.

"That's crazy!", Y/N said. They later catch up to Toad, as they stand near the clear pipe.

"Just pop in this pipe, and we're on our way.", Toad said. "Oh.", Mario said.

"Whoa.", Y/N said in amazement. "It's the only way to fly, man.", Toad continued.

Toad jumps into the pipe, all curled up, and let out a cheerful yell. Y/N then gets excited.

"Ooh, that looks fun! Come on, Mario!", Y/N said. She then jumps into the pipe, all curled up, and her cheer can be heard.

Mario then takes a peek into the pipe. "Oh, wow. Love these pi—", Mario started.

He was cut off, as he got sucked into the pipe like vacuum, as he screamed. As he zoom through, he gets smacked into every corner of the pipe, as he didn't curl like Y/N and Toad did.

Toad and Y/N easily shoot up the pipe, while poor Mario gets his face smeared against the pipe. Toad and Y/N got out of that clear pipe and hopped into the blue pipe.

Mario got out last and hopped into the wrong pipe, as he went into the green pipe and falls to the ground. Mario quickly gets up and goes into another green pipe, only to find himself back into the same place.

He goes into the red pipe and makes it to the other side, near the three pipes that Toad and Y/N have hopped in. Mario finally hopped into the blue pipe, only see more pipes he needs to go through.

"Oh, come on!!", Mario groaned in frustration. Later, Mario finally caught up with them, as he sluggishly gets out of the green pipe with a tired groan and collapsed behind them.

Toad and Y/N stare at sight the before them. "Here we are. Palace doors. Bing, bang, boom.", Toad said as he scurried off again.

"Look, Mario!" Y/N exclaimed. Mario adjusted his cap and looked over and was in awe to see a beautiful pink castle and in the center was a stained glass steel portrait of the frame picture of the blonde woman with a crown on her head.

Toad urges the two to follow him. "Come on! Whoo!", Y/N said.

"Let's check it out!", Y/N said, taking his hand and running off. "Whoa! Slow down!", Mario exclaimed, as he was being forced to run along with her.

The three ran through the garden to the bridge where the palace doors are. "Pretty impressive, am I right?", Toad said.

"Very impressive!", Y/N said. Just as they're about to head inside, two spears crossed by the two Toad guards in front of the doors.

"Hold it right there, you three.", one Toad ordered. "Oh, hey. We need to see the princess.", Mario said.

"It's an emergency and we REALLY need to see her before it's too late.", Y/N added with worry. The guards look at each other, until one smirks.

"What princess?", one Toad asked. "I never heard of any princess.", another Toad added.

"Oh, wait, I did. Our princess, though, is in another castle.", one Toad stated. "Oh, yeah. That's right.", another Toad added.

"You should try another castle, maybe. She ain't in this one.", one Toad said. The guards then bump each other's spears like they nailed it.

Mario raised his eyebrow in confusion, while Y/N deadpanned at this, not stupid to fall for that trick. "Huh?", Mario questioned.

"Really? That's the best you can do?" Y/N asked. "Okay, so they're messing with you, and I don't like it." Toad said, bringing out his pan.

The guards' eyes widened, as Toad raised his pan with a battle cry. But, instead of hitting them, he brought out a grill and start fire and dumps out tomatoes and stuff in the pan.

Toad is... cooking for the guards, who are immediately distracted by the smell of food. "What do you guys, um... What do you want to eat?", Toad asked.

Mario and Y/N were in disbelief at what just happened. "Anything... anything your hearts desire.", Toad continued, before nodding at the two siblings.

"Go. I am ready to scramble it up.", Toad said. Mario and Y/N sneak past them, as they head towards the doors and inside the castle.

They stopped to see the two more Toad guards, as they were laughing. Mario and Y/N tried to sneak past them, as they march the way guards did and saluted them.

The guards noticed them and stood tall with a salute as well. They stopped for a second to realize that Mario and Y/N were sneaking in.

"Hey! Intruders!" one Toad shouted out. "Stop them!", another Toad ordered.

Mario and Y/N immediately started running, as more Toad guards noticed them and chased after them. Y/N brings out her sword and summons her wings, as she glares at the guards who gasped.

"The legendary butterfly!", one Toad said. Y/N was confused on what they mean by that, before attacking them, as she hit their spears away.

Mario sees that and was shocked to see her wit wings. "Y/N?!", Mario exclaimed.

"Go find the princess! I'll explain later!", Y/N said. Mario hesitated, before running off, as Y/N fought off the guards.

Meanwhile, in the throne room, all the different colored Toads are gathered, as the golden floor below them opened to reveal a blue table for a moment, until the hologram shows six neighboring kingdoms as a map. The kingdoms were Yoshi Island, Penguin Kingdom (that's been destroyed and burned), Mushroom Kingdom, Jungle Kingdom, Sarasaland, and Dark Lands.

"Council, your attention.", blue Toad with the glasses said. "Bowser has found the Super Star and is headed toward our kingdom.", blue Toad continued.

A flying Bowser kingdom with a big star on top makes its way to the Mushroom Kingdom, as it hover above the pink castle, until it turned black and the castle collapsed and all burned.

"Its power will make him invincible. We will be destroyed.", blue Toad said. The Toads gasped in horror and one green Toad fainted.

The yellow Toad turned to someone. "Princess, what are we gonna do?", yellow Toad asked.

It revealed the real princess from the glass portrait sitting on the throne. Her name is Princess Peach.

"I will not let him hurt you.", Peach said, before standing up. She walks towards the Toads and stands tall and strong, as she looks determined.

"We are going to stop Bowser.", Peach declared. "How? Look at us. We're adorable.", one Toad said.

All the Toads proceed giving out cute goo-goo eyes with their pouty mouth. "I'm going to convince the great Kong army to help us.", Peach said, pointing to the Jungle Kingdom.

"Together, we'll annihilate that monster.", Peach continued. "Their mad King doesn't make alliances. The Kongs will never agree.", blue Toad said.

"I can convince him. I'll leave for the Jungle Kingdom in the morning.", Peach said, then walking away. "Good luck, Princess. For all our sakes.", blue Toad continued.

As soon as she got out of her throne room, she didn't expect to see Mario running and his eyes widened to see her, as everything turned slow motion. He reaches out his hand towards hers, thinking she might take it.

"Princess!", Mario called out. Only for him to be flipped over, as he landed on his back.

Mario groaned in pain and looked up and was in awe at the beauty of Peach. He quickly got up, taking his cap.

"Princess. Hi...", Mario started. Before he could properly greet her, the guards tackled him and started pummeling him.

Peach immediately stopped them. "Wait! Release him.", Peach ordered.

The guards reluctantly did, as they're told not before one stomped on his stomach, making him yelp. Suddenly, screams were heard and they turned to see the two guards from earlier flying, until it revealed a panting Y/N, as she sheathed her sword.

She turned and froze to see Peach, who's eyes widened at the sight of her and her butterfly wings. "Uh... hi.", Y/N awkwardly waved, standing next to Mario.

"Whoa...", Peach gasped in awe, looking at them. "Are you...?", Peach continued.

She then gasped, looking excited. "They're humans! I mean, you guys are humans, right?", Peach asked, poking and prodding around Mario and Y/N.

"Hey!", Mario exclaimed. "Whoa! Watch the hair!", Y/N exclaimed, moving Peaches hand away from her head.

"It's just you're so small and... you're the same height as me.", Peach said, taking Mario's hat, before placing it back on his head wrong to look at Y/N. "Wait, wait, wait. Let-let's go back. Where did you two come from?", Peach continued.

"Um, me, Y/N, and my little brother Luigi, we-we fell down this pipe.", Mario said, fixing his hat.

"And now he's lost somewhere in the Dark Lands.", Y/N finished. "Then it's only a matter of time until he's captured by Bowser.", Peach said gravely, worrying them.

"But you two're in luck. I'm on my way to stop him.", Peach reassured them. "Count me in.", Y/N declared with confidence.

"Take us with you.", Mario suggested. "This guy's a lunatic, a psycho. He will eat you for breakfast. He won't even notice it, probably, 'cause you're very, very small.", Peach said before looking at Y/N.

"No offense. I know you can fight.", Peach appologized. "None taken. But my brother is much more capable than that.", Y/N said.

"Yeah, and you know what? Make fun of me all you want, but you are gonna help us find our brother.", Mario said, sternly. Peach frowned for a moment, as Mario quickly softened.

"Please?", Mario asked. She stared at them for a moment, before shrugging.

"Well, okay. Let's see what you guys are made of.", Peach said. Peach then walks away, as Mario and Y/N follows after her.

"Is that a yes?", Y/N asked. "No, that's a 'let's see what you're made of.'", Peach replied curtly.

Y/N was curious on what she meant, while Mario looked nervous. Peach opened the doors that lead to the balcony, as they're behind a waterfall until it opens for them like a curtain.

Then, the balcony moves on its way out as soon as the three stand in it. The balcony stops and levitates above the water.

Just then, a giant Question Block emerges from the water, as it flies in front of them, until its pieces starts coming apart, revealing a training course and the pink flag emerges from the balcony they're standing on. "If you two can finish this, you're coming with me. Watch and learn.", Peach said, before running off.

Jumping over a small gap and spikes, the princess jumped onto a couple of blocks of floating mid-air before performing a perfect mid-air back flip. She then jumped over a couple of mechanized Piranha Plants, running towards several Fire bars.

She managed to slip under them and avoid another mechanized Piranha Plant. Flying through the air, the princess landed so she could run and perform a perfect flying kick to the Bowser cut-out, destroying it.

Once she landed, the block turned red and fell rapidly. As she ran, missiles were pointing in her direction and fired.

Seeing this, Peach narrowed her eyes in determination and smirked. Hoping off the last black, she jumped off the missiles one by one until she jumped out to grab the flag pole.

Spinning around a couple of times, she let go and used her dress as a parachute to land on the ground safely. Dusting her gloves off, she panted slowly as she looked at the shocked faces of Mario and Y/N.

"Okay, that was awesome!" Y/N said after a moment of silence. "Can I go next?" Y/N asked, shocking Mario.

"Sure!" "No!" Peach and Mario replied, respectively. "Bro..." Y/N started, only to be cut off by her brother.

"No, no! I'm not risking you getting hurt. And you still have to explain where you got those wings, Sissy.", Mario stated, remembering the purple butterfly wings he saw on Y/N's back. "If she can throw two mushroom guards across the room then that must mean she's strong.", Peach argued, remembering when she first saw the h/c girl.

"No, I'm not letting my precious baby sister do this course.", Mario exclaimed, not seeing Y/N silently back away. Peach, however, noticed and laughed silently.

"She doesn't need to put her life on the line for- what are you laughing at?" Mario questioned, and that's when Y/N broke out into a running sprint. "Wha-!?! Y/N!?", Mario called out, as he turned around, but it was too late.

Jumping over the same gaps and spikes Peach did before, Y/N used her wings to fly up and over the mechanized Piranha Plants. She then landed on the ground and went under the Fire bars just as Peach had.

Y/N then proceeded to skydive head first, before summoning her wings to soften her landing. She then ran, drawing her sword, and proceeded to cut the Bowser cut out in half, before sheathing her sword again.

Running on the same yellow blocks that turned red, Y/N smiled, as she saw the missiles fired at her. Using her wings once again, she dodged every one of them with practiced ease, before landing on the floating balcony.

Flipping her hair, Y/N was met with the sight of a shocked Mario and a pleased Peach. "How was that?" Y/N asked with a smirk as she approached the two.

"That was amazing, I shouldn't have expected less from the legendary butterfly.", Peach said, confusing Y/N yet again. Mario just stood there with wide eyes and a slack jaw, as he stared at his sister.

He didn't break out of his shock until Peach lifted his chin to close his mouth. "Wha-! How-! You just-! And did-!" Mario stuttered out in shock.

"How did you do that?!" Mario finally asked. "Parkour, and fencing with my teacher.", Y/N replied with a shrug.

"Okay, that was amazing.", Mario said after getting over his shock, before looking at the princess. "Wait. How-how am I supposed to do that?", Mario asked, gesturing to himself.

"With the power-ups.", Peach explained, as she pointed at a yellow mystery box. "Let me guess, they grant people special abilities?", Y/N asked.

"Yep!", Peach said, as she punched the box to reveal a brick red box. Mario caught what came out only to groan in disgust.

"Ugh. Really?", Mario said, as he held the red mushroom away from him, as if he were offended. "Go on. Eat it.", Peaches encouraged, making Y/N laugh at the situation.

"Ugh...", Mario groaned, jumping up and down, before he attempts to brings the mushroom up to his mouth, before looking at Peach and Y/N. "Now does this has to be a mushroom? 'Cause I just...hate mushrooms, and...", Mario said trying to come up with an excuse, before he saw Peaches glare at him and Y/N giving him a disapproving look.

"Bro, our little brother is probably on his way to become stew and all your worried about is a damn mushroom?", Y/N asked, causing Mario to feel somewhat guilty. "Okay, okay.", Mario said determined, he brought the mushroom up to his mouth again only to stop.

"Are you sure there's not like a--", Mario said only to be cut off by Peach, who grabs the Super Mushroom and force-feeds Mario. "Down the hatch! Yup, there it is and all gone!", Peach said, while Y/N giggles at it.

Mario gags and huffs, wiping his lips. "Oh, not cool! Uh...", Mario said.

Mario's body begins to shimmer. "Huh?", Mario asked.

Mario's hand suddenly grows large and hits him in the nose. "Oh!", Mario yelped in pain.

Mario's feet grow as well. "Whoa!", Mario continued.

The rest of Mario's body grows, retaining his proportions, but now standing as tall as Peach and Y/N. "Whoa-ho-ho! I'm tall!", Mario cheered.

"And strong.", Peach added. Mario jumps up and punches a floating brick block, destroying it.

"And... you can jump.", Peach continued. "Oh, I got this. No problem.", Mario said.

He fixes his cap and then runs onto the Training Course and jumps. "Woo-hoo!", Mario exclaimed.

"Wait bro, make sure to....", Y/N called out, as he thought he was gonna make it, he begins to fall... screaming. "Watch where your jumping.", Y/N finished with a wince, as Mario crashes through brick platforms and lands in the water below.

A Warp Pipe pulls him in and ejects him back onto the platform. "Oh, yeah. When you get hit, you... lose the power.", Peach reminded with a calm smile.

Peach hits the Question Block again and produces another Super Mushroom. "Great. Mugh...", Mario groaned.

He eats the Super Mushroom, and grows big again. "Come on. Try again.", Peach encouraged.

"You got this, bro.", Y/N added, giving him thumbs up. "Holding Out for a Hero" plays in the background, as Mario makes multiple attempts to make it through the course.

But every time he did, he smashes the brick with his face and falls again, making Peach and Y/N wince at the hit. Mario dodges the fake rolling fireballs and tries to get past it only to get hit and went flying.

He was getting reckless, as he attempts to jump over to the moving platform, only to fall down. It turns dawn, as he tried again but failed, then it turns to night, as he jumps up from the moving platform and lands on the glowing circle platform.

"Yes!", Mario cheered, bringing up his fist. His victory ceased when the platform he was standing on turned red and one part of it fall off along with Mario.

Princess Peach and Y/N slammed their face down on the railing in frustration after seeing him fail like a hundred times. Mario kept trying, but he gets chomped by the fake Piranha Plant, slammed by the fake missile, hit by a fake glowing rolling fireballs, and smacked in the face by Cheep Cheep's tail underwater, before getting sucked by the pipe.

The more he tries, the more hits he gets to the point he kept eating more red mushrooms to power himself up. At one point when he ate another, he puked over the railing, making himself into normal size again.

Peach awkwardly pats his back to comfort him, while Y/N hands him a cup of water. As Mario kept on trying to finish his training with Peach falling asleep against the railing of the floating balcony, Y/N stared off at the Mushroom Kingdom as she couldn't help, but worry about her brother.

"Hey Peach," Y/N called out, earning a sleepy hum from the Princess. "I'm gonna head inside, if that's alright?" Y/N asked.

"Sure, go right a head." Peaches muttered before she passed out. Y/N smiled at her new friend before she summoned her wings.

"Hey sis, where are you flying off to?" Mario asked as he held another mushroom.

"Just heading inside to get some sleep for tomorrow." Y/N said, smiling at her older brother who returned it.

"Alright, goodnight sissy. I love you," Mario said as he went over to hug the taller girl. Pulling away, Mario got big again and started the course. Y/N smiled before she flew on over to the waterfall, which opened to reveal part of a balcony with empty halls. Looking behind her, Y/N saw her brother fall again and felt bad for what she was about to do next.

Facing the barren halls, she sighed. "Sorry bro, but I have to do this.", Y/N muttered to herself, before she started to walk to the nearest balcony.

"♪ There's no way, I'm gonna sit this one out", Y/N sang, as she walked down the halls. "♪ Gotta take a chance now, not be a prisoner of doubt.", Y/N sang, as she got to a balcony and stood on the railing.

Jumping off, she summoned her wings to fly over the kingdom, the moon light creating an ethereal glow to her wings. "♪ Gonna knock down the wailin' wall, it ain't no sin.", Y/N sang, as she left the kingdom and passed the borders of the Mushroom Forest.

"♪ I got the feel of fortune, deal me in ♪", Y/N sang, as she saw the dark woods mentioned on Peach's map. "Well Y/N, you wanted adventure. And now you got it.", Y/N said, as she flew into the woods.
