Mario, Peach, and Toad approaches the Jungle Kingdom gates. "You ready?", Peach asked.

"Eh... sure?", Mario questioned. Before Peach could knock on the door, they heard running footsteps and heavy breathes.

They turned and were shocked to see a running Luigi. Mario gets happy and rushes over to his brother.

"Lu!"

Luigi looks up and smiles.

"Mario!"

The two then embraced each other before pulling away.

"How did you get out? We were just looking for you! Wait, is Y/N here? Did she break you out? Where is she?"Mario asked, looking back to see if Y/N is behind Luigi. "I gotta give her a long talk about running off on her own without my acknowledgement."

This made Peach roll her eyes while smiling at the reunion along with Toad. Luigi stops smiling and looks down.

"She... took my place..." he said sadly.

Mario froze along with Peach and Toad.

"What?"

Luigi looks down with shame.

"She... fought against Bowser and tried to get me out. But they wouldn't let me go. So she... asked to take my place as his prisoner and free me, and he agreed and let me go just like that... I never got to see her again."

Mario couldn't believe it. Y/N is willing to sacrifice herself to free Luigi. Determined, he placed a hand on Luigi's shoulder, making him look up.

"We'll get her back. I promise. She would want us to keep moving forward and fight."

Luigi knows that Mario is right. Y/N promised that she'll see them again. He will repay her for saving him by doing the same thing.

"Let's save our sissy."

Mario nods and turns to Peach and Toad.

"Luigi, meet Princess Peach and Toad. Guys, this is my brother Luigi I was talking about."

Luigi shyly waves at them.

"Hello." he greeted.

Toad waves back.

"Hi!"

"Nice to meet you, Luigi." Peach nodded with a smile before turning serious. "If you what you said is true about Y/N, then we better do it now. The whole world is at stake. Knowing your sister, I'm sure she'll hold him off as she can."

"Great. So what do we do now? Where are we?" Luigi asked, looking around.

"We are in the Jungle Kingdom to seek an army."

Peach turns back to the door and knocks, the door opens then a Kong roars, causing Mario, Luigi, and Toad to scream in fear, and Peach to lean back.

Toad quickly hides behind Peach and then looks over at the Kong after he stops roaring. "Whaaaat?", Toad said, quietly.

"How you doin'?", Mario nervously greeted.

"N-Nice big monkey." Luigi gulped.

"We are here to see the king.", Peach said, standing straight.

Sports Coat Kong growls and gets close to Peach, who glares back and looks at him straight in the eyes. The Kong snorts and walks off.

"Follow me.", Sports Coat Kong said. "That gorilla's wearin' a sports coat.", Mario commented.

"I feel under dressed.", Toad chuckled. "Take on Me" begins to play, as the Kong prepares his kart and puts on his sunglasses.

"Hop in.", Sports Coat Kong said.

They all hopped onto the kart behind Sports Coat Kong before he took off with speed. Mario, Luigi, and Peach screamed along the way as they held on tight with Toad cheering behind them, having fun. They are driven through the Jungle Kingdom to a mountain palace. Inside, Kong soldiers line the hallway leading to the throne of Cranky Kong; "Take on Me" stops playing.

"Oh, by all means, come in." Cranky Kong said, making the soldiers bang their hammer against the ground in sync.

"Great and mighty Cranky Kong." Peach said, bowing.

"So, I heard you want my army." Cranky Kong stated.

"Yes, your Highness. Without your help, the Mushroom Kingdom will be annihilated."

"What makes you think you're worthy of fighting alongside the greatest army in the world!?" Cranky Kong said dramatically.

The Kong soldiers banged their hammer again.

"Because we have heart! And with your strength... we can win." Peach said.

"Okay, fine." Cranky Kong shrugged.

Peach looks surprised.

"That's it?"

"No, that's not it. The answer is no. Goodbye." Cranky Kong said rudely.

"If the Mushroom Kingdom falls, the Jungle Kingdom is next!" Peach said, trying to convince him.

Mario stepped forward and pointed at Cranky Kong.

"We're not leavin'... without YOUR ARMY!" he demanded.

Cranky Kong looks beat before laughing.

"Who is this guy? Oh, he makes me laugh! Alright, tough guy... You want my army so badly? Defeat my son, in the Great Ring of Kong!" he said dramatically again, and the Kong soldiers bang their hammer again.

"Give us a second."

Peach pulls Mario aside, whispers.

"This is a really, really bad idea!"

"Well, do you have another way to save my sister?" Mario whispered back.

"Yeah, but fighting against a monkey?!" Luigi added, whispering.

Cranky Kong steps in between them.

"Are you three done whispering? It's a little rude."

Mario thinks for a moment and glares at Cranky Kong.

"You, sir, have a deal. I'll fight your son and WIN!"

"Mario, what are you doing?!" Luigi gasped.

"I'm sure you will."

Cranky Kong laughed and then coughed and is being lifted onto a motorcycle by his guards and drives off while laughing and coughing at the same time as Mario glares at him.

Mario is walking down a dark corridor and then exhales to calm his nerves. He then enters the ring, full of cheering Kongs, who then boo at Mario's presence. Suddenly, Donkey Kong emerges, much to the adoration of the crowd. The "DK Rap" begins to play. He crushes two barrels that come out of nowhere.

"I'm DK! I'm Donkey Kong!" Donkey Kong said rhythmically, flexing his muscle. "Oh, yeah!"

He turned and waved at Cranky.

"Hi, Dad! Hi!"

"No, don't... Don't do that!" Cranky Kong scolded his son, looking embarrassed.

"Dad, wave back!" Donkey Kong said, dancing.

"Enough with the showboating!"

"What do you mean? They like it! It's what they came here for! Dancing pecs!"

Donkey Kong does a pec flex as the crowd continues to cheer wildly.

"Okay, simmer down." Cranky Kong ordered.

The crowd continues to chant.

"I said, 'SIMMER DOWN!'"

The crowd except Diddy Kong stops cheering.

"DK! DK!"

"That means you, Diddy Kong!" Cranky Kong said, glaring at the little ape.

"D-- Sorry." Diddy Kong said, sitting down.

"Now, since I want this fight to last more than five seconds, I put power-ups around the arena. You're welcome, Mario."

"I don't need anything special to break every bone in your tiny body!" Donkey Kong growled, glaring at Mario as the crowd cheers again.

Mario laughs nervously and looks up at Peach and Luigi, who're sitting next to Cranky Kong along with Toad. Peach and Luigi nodded at him.

"Do it for Y/N." Luigi mouthed at him.

Mario nods and exhales, knowing there's no backing down and willing to go save his sister.

"Alright."

Mario charges at Donkey Kong as the crowd roars. Mario jumps forward with his fist raised. Suddenly, Mario is grabbed in the face and pinned down on the girder and get punched repeatedly by Donkey Kong. Luigi, Peach, and Toad cringe.

"Oh!" Peach gasped.

"Oh... Mario..." Luigi winced.

"Oh, my-- Okay." Toad winced.

Cranky Kong shrugged and peeled his banana.

"Guess you're not getting my army!" he gloated at Peach.

Donkey Kong then kicks Mario away, sending him rolling and he nearly slide off, making Luigi gasp.

"Is this what you came for?!" Donkey Kong gloated.

"We love you, DK!" Fanboy Kong sobbed.

Mario gets up and sees a mystery block just above Donkey Kong, who's distracted in impressing his dad.

"Hi, Dad! Love you!"

Mario starts running after the mystery block and Donkey King sensed him running and turned to him.

"It is on like Donkey Kong!"

Donkey Kong jumps and tries to smash him, but Mario slides and punches the block. A blue mushroom falls out of it and he catches it.

"You're about to pick on someone your own size."

With a smirk, Mario eats the Mini Mushroom, and the audience gasps. With his fist raised, he charges towards Donkey Kong with a war cry. But instead of growing big like he expected, he instead shrinks into a mini Mario. He stops charging and looks at himself.

"Oh, no..." Luigi gulped.

"I guess he got the wrong mushroom." Cranky Kong laughed.

Donkey Kong leans down to mini Mario and lets out his Seth Rogen laughter with a smirk. Mini Mario laughs nervously and turns and starts running, screaming. Donkey Kong tries to smash him, but Mario jumps and dodges it, making Peach and Luigi wince. Just as Mario was about to get away, Donkey Kong smashes his fist on the ground, causing him to go flying and landed in his big hand. Donkey Kong then flicked him away, slamming him against the doors and turning him back to his normal size. Mario fell unconscious then Donkey Kong came charging at him.

"Get up, Mario!" Peach shouted.

"Come on, Mario! Get up!" Luigi shouted.

Hearing them, Mario gets up and sees Donkey Kong rolling towards him into a ball. He quickly jumps down as Donkey Kong slams through the doors. Donkey Kong gets out and sees him hanging and throws a barrel at him. Mario quickly swings on a vine to dodge it and finds another mystery block. He lands down on it and smashes his fist against it, making a Fire Flower pop out. Grinning, Mario goes to touch the flower when someone blows it off, causing it to turn into ash. He turned to see a grinning Donkey Kong that did it. Yelling, Mario starts punching him, but it has no effects on him as Donkey Kong catches his fist. Knowing this is gonna hurt, Luigi, Peach, and Toad watches in sympathy as the fight continues, Donkey Kong continues to beat down Mario to near-exhaustion. Luigi couldn't stand to watch his brother get beaten up. Donkey Kong lifts Mario by the collar and grins.

"Had enough?" he asked, hoping he'll give up.

But Mario doesn't let him think he's won as he glares at the ape.

"Not...even...close." he panted.

Glaring, Donkey Kong tightens his fist and then uppercuts Mario in the air. Time slow down as Mario stays in the air for a moment. He sees Luigi and Peach shouting at him.

"Mario!!!"

Mario sluggishly waves at them.

"It's-a-me..."

"The box!" Peach pointed it out.

Mario sees a mystery block in front of him and time goes back to normal and he manages to grab on the ledge of the block and climbs up. He then punches a mystery block and he swiftly jumps down from the block and lands in front of Donkey Kong, turned into Super Bell, a cat costume. Suddenly, he licks himself and purrs like a cat, making the Kongs be in awe along with Cranky Kong, Toad, Luigi, and Peach.

"Awww!"

"He looks adorable." Toad cooed.

"He really does." Peach chuckled.

"I was not expecting that. But he is adorable, alright." Luigi chuckled.

Mario stops at what he's doing and looks at himself in disbelief.

"Oh, wha-- I'm a cat?!"

Donkey Kong laughs at Mario and falls on his back.

"You got the cat box! Oh, my-- Ah! Oh, I'm sorry... I'm sorry. Okay... Now you die."

Mario uses his new cat reflexes to dodge a punch from Donkey Kong. He realizes what he did and now knows he could outwit Donkey Kong.

"I'm a cat!"

After dodging a series of blows from Donkey Kong, Mario counterattacks and scratches him in the cheek.

"Meow."

Donkey Kong gives Mario a weird look before continuing to fight him. With his cat power, Mario was able to dodge flexibly around him and scratches him down and crawls. Donkey Kong continues to struggle against Cat Mario as he throws a barrel at him. But Cat Mario manage to have the strength to catch the barrel and throw it back at him. He then jumps on Donkey Kong, punches and scratches him variously.

"Woo-hoo!" Toad cheered.

"Get him, Mario!!" Luigi cheered.

Mario climbs his way up to the top and then claw-dives Donkey Kong, breaking several floors as he crashed him down before landing on the last floor. Panting, he climbs up to his chest and brings out his claw towards his face.

"Had enough?" Mario asked, recalling what Donkey Kong said to him.

Donkey Kong gets up and tries to throw a punch, only for Mario to dodge him.

"Not...even...close."

Tired, Donkey Kong begins to topple back, but Mario grabs him by the tie.

"I'll take that as a yes." Mario declared.

Donkey Kong then falls forward and Mario leaps onto him. The kingdom cheered for him.

"Mario! Mario!"

"Yes! That's my best friend!" Toad cheered.

"That's my brother!!" Luigi cheered, jumping up and down.

"Mario! Mario! Mario! Mario! Mario!"

Peach nods at Mario, who nods back. She then smirks at Cranky Kong with her arms crossed, knowing they won him over.

"Yeah, yeah..."

Cranky Kong returns the grin.

"Mario! Mario!"

Later, Peach gives Mario an ice pack for his bruises.

"Ah." Mario winced a bit, making Luigi comfort him by patting his back.

"That was incredible! He kept beating you senseless..."

Peach lightly punches Mario's arm repeatedly.

"Hey!"

"...and you just kept getting back up?! You just don't know when to quit!" Peach continued.

"Well, that's my brother alright. He never knows when to quit." Luigi nodded.

"Huh, well, never thought of that as a good thing." Mario commented.

"It's a great thing! And I'm sure Y/N will be so proud!" Peach said with a smile.

Mario gets touched by her words as he stare at her. Luigi sees that and smirks.

"Thanks. I--"

He gets interrupted by Donkey Kong kicking the door open, making Luigi yelp.

"I let him win, just for the record." Donkey Kong said, pointing at Mario.

Mario becomes unamused and leans against the railing.

"Really, though? Why would you do that?"

"You want to know why? It's MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS, that's why!!"

Donkey Kong angrily throws a barrel at Mario, who ducks from it. Glaring, Mario hands Luigi his ice pack and walks up to Donkey Kong with his fists up.

"Alright, giant monkey!"

Before the two could get into a fight, Cranky Kong stops them and gets in between them.

"ENOUGH!"

He hits both Donkey Kong and Mario with his staff to keep them separated.

"Get inside!"

Inside a hut, Cranky Kong has a world map displayed on the wall as Donkey Kong lies on a hammock and eats a banana.

"We've located Bowser's ship. He's gonna arrive at the Mushroom Kingdom by sundown! Lucky for you guys, I got a shortcut!"

"We beat him there and ambush him!" Peach grinned, punching the air.

Cranky Kong looks at her unamused.

"Yeah, I know. That's why, we're gonna need karts!"

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Donkey Kong, and Cranky Kong ride an elevator down to a garage where many karts are being built by the Kong army.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Pick your karts!" Cranky Kong ordered them, shaking his head.

Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad select differing vehicles: Mario and Luigi a standard kart, Peach a motorcycle, and Toad a large SUV. Donkey Kong pulls up to Mario in a kart with two large rockets. Mario sees him and smiles at him. But Donkey Kong glares down at him.

"I hate you." he whispered, making Mario frown and Luigi to chuckle nervously at the tension from those two.

"To the Mushroom Kingdom, and the biggest fight of our lives." Peach declared as everyone start their engine. "Here...we...go!"

The group speeds off in their karts.

"YEAH!" one of the Kong yelled.

Meanwhile, Bowser in a white top hat and holding a bouquet of Piranha Plants as he appears shy and cute.

"Y/N... Here we are..." he chuckled. "I guess...love really makes a guy come out of his shell."

The Piranha Plants begin to snap fiercely. Bowser throws them to the ground and stomps them to silence. He chuckled nervously and sucks his breath, fixing his bowtie.

"Let's rule the world. Together. Forever. Will you marry me?"

Bowser is shown to be practicing his proposal with Kamek in a F/C wig and an overalls.

"Oh, yes!" Kamek acted in a girly manner.

Bowser and Kamek smiled as Bowser's tail wagged excitedly.

"Perfect! I am so ready for this!" Bowser said, fist pumping.

"She will definitely say yes." Kamek agreed.

"After all these years, I can now finally be with her once again."

Suddenly, General Koopa with a blue, winged and spiked shell enters and clears his throat.

"Ahem."

"What?!" Bowser and Kamek shouted in annoyance.

"We have found the princess and the two mustachioed humans. The red one has defeated Donkey Kong and won the Kong army." General Koopa informed them.

"So, like, Peach was super impressed?" Bowser asked curiously.

"It appears so, yes. They are heading towards their secret passage!" General Koopa said.

Bowser thinks back at Y/N and makes a decision.

"He can have Peach, but not my Y/N. And they think they can surprise me, huh? Two can play at that game." he grinned evilly.

In her room, Y/N was busy staring at the flower admiringly that was gifted by Bowser, not knowing the danger her brothers are going to face.
